OMG!!.. that is beautiful...its the mos beautifulest wedding dress i have even seen...=D... absolutely stunning....better than those n movies or anywhere else that cost over thousands of dollars.. i love it...=D
That dress is incredible and your mom is a genius. I have 4 daughters, I used to sew their summer dresses when they were little and I still sew costumes when needed but I would never take on a wedding dress. The intricate detail on your dress just boggles my mind. You couldn't have gotten anything more special or beautiful at any store. Your mom is my hero!
I think its stunning. Now thats a wedding dress that will hold a lot of great memories not only of that special day but of your mom as well. Truly a dress to be proud of wearing and owning. May your marrage be full of success and bliss :)
25m of dupioni silk, gold thread and embroidery, pearls and gold organza don't seem to add up to cheap and worn off...maybe you were just looking at the pictures where only the bodice was finished and the skirt was actually just the lining...or maybe not, who knows?
im going to be making my own weddindg dress also. I hate seeing rides in those massley produced dresses. Thats very beautiful and I know the bride felt special.
*scrapes chin off floor* you are very brave for taking on a task like this and you looked PERFECT! classic lace and beadwork. the craftsmanship is amazing. and i love the gold accents
I bought the gold motifs on eBay; there are a lot of sellers that have gorgeous trims. I am not sure if these were hand made, but they were quite a statement. And there were only those four pieces available, and I had to have them.
Great job! you have such a great taste and atention to detail. simply adore the train ofd your dress, it's fantastic!congratulations on the masterpiece!
Oh, thank you so much for trusting me, even for asking such a question! First you have to be available for frequent fittings (about 4 -5 every month) then willing to pay for about 200 hours of intricate manual work over at least 4 months, plus around $4-5000 for silk, lace, pearls, gold thread, etc....Is it worth it? So, to sum it up, you would probably look at about $20000.00
Plus, and this is very important to me, you have to trust my taste and design concept.
Beautiful!
