  • Awesome!

  • @dmjl1 MUST HAVE DRUNK THE OTHER HALF OF MY JIM BEAM BECAUSE dmjl1 had that 2 liter up his bum after I refused to let him polish my knob!

Don't worry pimp, you can find another schlong to boing!

  • sounds terrible when you played lucky you missed half of the song really

  • Rough, and missed half the song. Please remove.

  • actually i did pass a kidney stone on this version. tone? on double c's and and beyond? the worse thing about this recording is that I was out of tune and over or under shot about everyother note....GULP!

.....I will post yet a 3rd try, but it really has to be much better...so that means it won't be coming anytime soon.

Can I play a few phrases of this chart perfectly? YUP! BUT, playing this entire chart, in tempo, in tune right along with maynard is a real mother f%@er!!!!

  • Well, you have the whole "I just passed a kidney stone" screaming down. What about tone? Any good exercises you can do to improve that?

  • ok, now the big question: what mouthpiece and horn you using?

  • Kudos on being able to last that long man. Of course when Maynard was alive he would play like this for 1 or 2 hours for a concert and then move along to do another set like the one he had just done. Crazy. Not bad. Have you thought about arranging the composition yourself?

  • You know him from trumpetherald too I assume?

  • Very Very good, I love Maynard's work.

  • Hahaha...."double Eee!". That was classic.

I for one don't know how the heck trumpet players practice attacks around double high C and above. It's one thing to watch a player work his way up there, but to hit it cold...yikes.

I've always admired brass players. Trumpet in particular...the instrument is just abosolute murder of the mouth.

Kudos to you. It was a blast to watch. Looked like you were having fun, too.

  • @flamingdingleberry FOR EVERYBODY WATCHING THIS VIDEO AND TELLING ME IT WAS EITHER VERY GOOD OR COMPLETELY AWFUL.....YOU ALL MISSED THE POINT!!!!!

THIS IS ABOUT DRINKING A HALF A BOTTLE OF GOOD OL' JIM BEAM AND THEN JAMMING WITH MAYNARD AND HAVING FUN! IN FACT, I WISH I HAD DONE IT WITH JUST MY UNDERWEAR ONLY!

IF YOU ARE 21 AND OLDER, TRY PRACTICING FOR 2 OR 3 HOURS WHILE DRINKING 1/2 TO AN ENTIRE BOTTLE OF JIM BEAM....THEN, PUT ON SOMETHING CRAZY LIKE HOT CANARY A BLOW YOURSELF UP!

  • There are too many techniques to list here, but for accuracy, any type of interval study would help.

  • Thanks, but no chart. However, I am looking for a chart so I can actually rehearse this with my band

  • I tip my hat to you for even trying this bit of musical impossibility! Did you do this by ear or do you have the chart for it? Is this chart even available, because I'd like to try it. Very impressive.
