Have a couple Cross's albums. Saw him in Raleigh years ago and another group that proformed that night joined him on stage. Do not remember their name but truly was a great, great night of music. Mike Cross's Bounty Hunter came out about the same time as Devil went down to Georgia. Never could understand why Bounty Hunter did not get popular ... Nobby was on one of the albums I have put back ... one of my favoorites ... a fun song.
I have severasl lps from Mike Cross and the one that stands ou o me is "Child Prodigy",and I went to school with some boys who were fron Lenoir ,NC Mikes home town, yea I have been familiar with his music for 30 years plus,he should have been a huge hit in the British Isles also, but I don't know if they ever knew much about him
@apppleofeye Didnt mike write a song about "gramma's milk cartons" back in the mid 70's ? Ive checked youtube for it , i don't think it's been downloaded
I agree, I highly recommend this CD! I think it's on Amazon, or you can download individual songs. It's alive, and this is off my old tape I recorded it on about 20yrs ago in Asheville NC at a friends!
I used to travel all over NC, when I was stationed at Cherry Point in Havlock, to listen to him! Always a great show.

Pep - thanks for getting this up. I really enjoyed it, being a bluegrass fan who can't play a lick of it.
