  • Uribe: Paramilitar Genocida.

  • Alex aka Mr.Cocaine James.

  • I hate Uribe, is a fucking terrorist !

  • @100delrojo Are you a member of the FARC? Because they are the true 'fucking terrorists'! Viva Uribe!

  • @CapitanJusticia Are you a paramilitary ?

  • @100delrojo No, I am a decent Colombian. Where is your proof that Uribe is a paramilitary? In case you didn't know, people in Colombia are INNOCENT until proven guilty!

  • it makes me laugh sooooo much... i think im gonna piss in my pants

  • Asesination..jaaajajajajajajjaajajjaajajajjajajaajajajajajajajaj

  • I am Colombian and i say that is easy speak about it, but the problem is more that legalize or not the drugs and is more that stop using drugs.

  • i keep expecting the president to call alex a 'cockaroach' and then blow him away

  • "we have terrorist problems because we have cocaine" << maybe if the stupid fuck legalised it, there would be no terrorists or violence involved in the cocaine business. I agree that cocaine is a nasty drug but making it illegal doesn't solve ANYTHING except for stopping a few people from buying it because "only legal drugs are safe".

  • Uribe fooled us all. He is the greatest narc in Colombia.

  • Alvaro Uribe is an imbecile, like all prohibitionists. HE is the problem for Columbia, not cocaine. COCAINE IS AN INANIMATE OBJECT, IN HIGH DEMAND. If one country made steak illegal, worldwide, there would be a black market for steak, assuming constant demand, and then, that would be a "bad thing". James is just caving in to social pressure, and being an idiot here. Of course, that does help him to survive, because that government thug could and would easily kill him there.

  • @libertarianjury I think you are right about the legalization of the drugs, but if someone else thinks different, like Alvaro Uribe, doesn't make him an imbecile, or a thug, or do you think Obama is an imbecile for not legalizing the drugs? because i know that USA is the main consumer of drugs, so if there is a country where the drugs should be legalized, is there. About Uribe, he is not a thug. Are angry for something? remember that he was elected and re-elected by ColOmbians (No U in there).

  • Frankly I disliked when alex said that he supported Uribe, but it is forgivable because he is ignorant and had not seen all the corruption scandals. The cruel thing is that he said that we need more like him, and I say no, no more Uribe or his democratic security politic, it has only brougth pain and misery to many people and wealth to his friends.

  • WHY BBC DONT MAKE A DOCUMENTARY ABOUT THE HUGE NUMBER OF PAEDOPHILES THAT LIVES IN BRITAIN AND DOWNLOADED IN YOU TUBE AND THE HUGE NUMBER OF MENTALLY ILL PEOPLE WHO WHO LIVES IN THIS COUNTRY IT WOULD BE GOOD TO SEE THAT

  • @1dametuzapato I guess you are a mentally ill paedo ? Why would you want to watch that shit, you sick fucking perverted retarded bastard!! I wish evil peados like you were dead!!

  • LEARN TO SPEAK SPANISH, SMALL BRAIN HOW EMBARRASING LIVING IN EUROPE AND JUST SPEAKING ONE LANGUAGE ALEX JAMES SMALL BRAIN IN MY FAMILY WE SPEAK 3 LANGUAGES

  • Colombia is not the only one to blame. If this business keeps going it's because there are consumers in U.S., Europe and Asia that are paying for this shit... so, the world is a complice in this crime.

  • This is SOP of the left. Insult and make a mockery of an Interview with a head of state and try to laugh at the progress made simply because to the left narco terrorist groups are beautiful people worthy of respect. How pathetic. But if you really want to see disgrace, look at how michelle obama hug and placed her dirty hands on the Queen of England, what a bafoon or baboon same thing actualy. Uribe. Simply a bad ass president surrounded by leftist narco-terrorist in S.Ameri. & the U.N.

  • in LLUROPE!!! jajajajaja

  • its quite interesting, but the president english needs to improve

  • @William8612 I'm sure his English is better than your Spanish.

  • just by looking at you i know coke suck

  • I support him too even if he speak really funny English.

  • I think if major Power Group with Honest and NOT CORRUPT intentions over threw in that country and spread to Bolvia and made a World Industry of Cocaine with No desire what so ever for Money; Whores ...Beach front Estates or Yatchs Alex you would think differently ---Yes it can be done

  • Hey Alex James! supporting war is what you are doing by supporting that terrorist of state!, don't you see for how much time he has been doing that! and where are the results? If he says that cocaine consumption in Europe is growing, that is due to bad strategies controlling the problem! in contrast less inversion in health and education is consuming the country! + the Glifosat not only destroys cocaine but the plantations of honest farmers that honestly try to do a living! think again!

  • @dagpfisico I think you have definitely struck some good points, but you absolutely missed on another point. It is true that glifosat presents many detrimental effects on the health of the populations exposed to it and some crops. But what happens is that peasants who grow coca plants among their crops so they are not easily spotted by army planes and subsequently eradicated. The other point you make is that consumption in Europe is up because of bad strategies controlling.....

  • @dagpfisico ..........(2) the problem. But what you have to consider is that in order for the drugs to reach Europe, a multilateral effort needs to be made among nations; and unfortunately Colombia's neighbors are pro FARC and serve as drug routes for drug trafficking. This makes all domestic efforts to eradicate coca plantations almost fruitless. Investment in health and education has been made, but at a snail's pace, due in part to corruption and lack of resources.

  • and actually your mother lead the cartel of the bitches!

  • assesinations.... jajajajaja.... you asshole :P

  • Id like to listen to your accent when u are speaking english.... it does not mean tht u do not know or u know less because of the strong accent u have.... it DOES mean that your roots are so tight to your being, that you can not deny who you are and where u come from!!!!

  • fucking junkie EMO

  • colombias been in a civil war for ever 60 years, they need to sort it out, cocaine isnt the biggest problem, the ideological differences are probably the main problem

  • HAHAHAHA EXCELENT ENGLISH BY URIBE

  • its not cocaine that tears up a country...

its the criminalization of drugs which creates all of the problems. they think that people need to stop using cocaine... people will never stop using narcotics, its an unbeatable war on drugs. Making these drugs legal would stop the criminal organizations and save lives.

  • thts the same thing i believe people will never stop using drugs because they like it ( im not exception) ( yes i smoke Pot) but hey im not hurting anyone im doing it in the privacy of my home why is that a crime..... but well said

  • The best Colombian President ever!!! Let´s think...Do I want my future sons and daugthers will use cocaine??. So, he is doing his best. Let´s help Colombia, Let´s support his cause. A world without cocaine. No more kidnapping -No more Farc!!

  • Yea or just create a legal market for coca.

  • this video sucked. the interview was wack!

  • The reporter is gay : ) possible a coked out one as well. Smelly cheese?! Lol

  • u are right!!! during the 1990's alex james spent about 2 million quid on champagne and cocaine... :)

    what a knob!

  • That reporter is definitely a coke head.

  • he's alex james, bassist for blur. he was heavely addicted to coke back in the day, some say he's spent 4 million pounds in powder during his blur days, but now he's clean.

    ...or so he says.

and that's why he dicided to do this doc.

  • Great video....Alvaro Uribe ..the best president Colombia ever had !!!!

  • well if he is he would have legalized cocaine and stop using all the tax payers money to kill it.. or is that the americans?

  • How nice ! great chat ! Uribe is a humble guy , and he is doing his best ! I support him ! How nice to see a musician talking with a president ! It`s good to see how he saw the real Colombia !

  • i hope the president is the next..... ;)

    legalize cocaine!

  • fuk this interviewer hes so shit no where near president interview worthy

  • thanks to Uribe for the great drugs profits generated making the drug bussines more risky but quite profitable, more persecutable but more clandestine, Uribe made a revolution of the cocaine trafic in the world, he made of drugs a constant advertisement campaign to maintain the local production safe, that is to say, industrialized and consumers contries send money to help against the drug but in Colombia, government uses that resourses to maintain the corruption over and over again.

  • that's true

  • It's not a coincidence that Uribe shows up in "Cocaine Diary" after he owned the bussiness with Pedro Juan Moreno, being the biggest Potasiun Permanganatum, importers from Hong Kong to Colombia. That substance is useful to make computer chips, and to make cocaine. Colombia is not a big computer chip manufacturer, or even exporter. Bur Colombia is one of the biggest cocaine exporters of the world....

I think things can't be clear...

  • President , alvaro Uribe Velez, he is the chief ot the all mafia and paramilitaries forces, and the chief of the dilers of cocaine in Colombian, he continue the voilence and crimes/

  • President Alvaro uribe Velez, he's the big manager of the drug dilers in colombian aan he had the support of the corruption an narco-paramilitrs forces.

  • Being a socialist, I have to admit that in spite of being a hard liner right wing statesman, Uribe has been the best president Colombia has had in my lifetime. All those Uribe bashers can't be more wrong

  • the problem of this country is politicians like HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn facist!!! he's responsable for the death of thousand people....i can't believe that people thinks that uribe is a poor victim...he's a Killer!!

  • URIBE SUCKS

  • This poor ignorant said "its father was kill by revolutionaries 20 years ago", That he don't said is that his father was related with the drugs traffic!!

  • Uribe is a corrupt, and is constructing a dictatorship in Colombia. And this Alex James is a poor ignorant, that have not read nothing about the Colombian reality. There too many books where is reported the blood bath of Alvaro Uribe in Colombia. The BBC show a excelent example of trash journalism.

  • name one jfernandoce

  • I going two name two:

A las puertas del Uberrimo By Ivan Cepeda and El Señor de las Sombras by Joseph Contreras.

And, why do you use the Nickname Sicario? Do you try of threat me?

  • Of course I've been trying TO threat you, from the moment I created my account 10 years ago, I was just waiting for you to write B.S.....

how are you so brilliant!? i'm impressed

  • Jajajajaja, and you are so sarcastic, but you don't have the necesity of justify your answer with me, with only write yes or no have been suficient. Now, Do you had heard about the books? I think that the both can help you a lot.

  • hello, I am from colombia and I wanna say to president uribe that we have terrorists in colombia because exists persons like you occuping the most higher places in politician activities. mr uribe is the biggest terrorist, an the most corrupt and lier policitian I have ever known in colombia history.

  • Well, I think that from a databased point of view, Colombia is doing way much better now than before Uribe. Is richer, safer and terrorists (like FARC) has been severely beaten. I would also keep in mind that he has been elected twice with a significant majority. Maybe the guy is not an angel but i find it a bit presumptuous to call him ignorant.

  • You can go far with the media on your side. Read any human rights website and you'll see how things simply haven't changed for the poor majority and anyone trying to help them. Its just threats, imprisonment and assassination. same old shit.

  • I can't believe the way that Uribe managed this interview. I can't believe his bad english!!!! It's been said that he studied in the States....but whit that english that's impossible!!!! His english really sucks!!!! Poor ignorant

  • Comment removed

  • compared to what? tell me of a us president that speaks spanish or a second language at all you moron. and he is very smart.

  • This Clown Uribe graduated from a US university and his English sucks. He would do anything the US ask him to do. As you know the US rather to fight their enemies (drugs in this case) abroad than in their own territory being schools streets or anywhere. On the meantime neighboring countries receive from Colombia an avalanche of refugees daily. Not rocket science to know this countries need to work as one, but Uribe is not allowed to make friends in the region. He is just a puppet. Wht a Shame!!

  • alex is coked up!lol. how ironic.

  • jelou de cokeichon is a une problemeichun

  • Uribe: "We have terrorists because we have cocaine." Oh Alex how could you let such utter bullshit pass without challenge. An interview with Uribe is a rare thing and you bottled it like an overawed little person. I presume you did your research before going but you seem to have swallowed the party-line version of affairs that your Colombian handlers sold you. The terrorists, however brutal, exist to fight the fuedal, repressive, racist and violent regime. The grow coke to pay for their costs.

  • ignorant, Uribe's government has done a lot for the country, in the starts of the colombian guerrillas, they were good, hardworking farmers who had no option but to fight against the government, but nowadays, those farmers grew greedy and have change their ideals, to more dark obsene things,it's easy to point the finger when you're on the opposite side of the window, thanks to uribe the crime rate in colombia decreased drasically, and unemployment decreased. so shut up!

  • Depends where you get your information, friend. RCN? Caracol? CNN ? The mainstream media are apologists for the US and Colombian governments and unreliable.

How many good people - public defenders, union-leaders, indigenous leaders, community leaders, human rights activists etc have been murdered by the regime? Too many to count, but you wouldn't know because it is rarely reported on the TV. Know what? The official crime rate fell when Hitler came to power. Didn't make him right.

  • I think that the Ignorant are you, You don't read the newspapers?

  • ha, yeah ironic, why would i read the newspapers?

you should know that the media is not a reliable source of knowlegde, they'll just say about anything to get money. and newspapers are pretty sensacionalist, just like tv news.

  • poor guy, is just another ignorant communist farc supporter... asshole, THIS IS A DEMOCRACY, and the foucking terrorist, like your heroes, must go to venezuela

  • well, the procedures that the government is using to get Uribe's reelection is ANTI-DEMOCRATIC, and illegal. And notice that not make anyone a terrorist. Using my brain don't make me a terrorist. Not seeing what is really happening in Colombia, makes you blind!!!!

  • Alex: "Uribe takes a hardline against terrorists and drug traffickers" - yes and against trade-unionists (20 murdered already this year), indigenous leaders and human rights workers. In fact anyone who takes a stand against the regime.

  • that is false, asshole!!! farc supporter

  • I'm affraid that is true, even the government assume that cipher. To recognize the reality is not being a Farc supporter...That's what the colombian government want you to think, but disagreeing with the government or being the opposition not make me a Farc supporter, stop being ignorant, please

  • consumption is world wide: the US is probably 30-40% of the trade- the problem will subside once the substance is made legal and produced in regulated labs. - it would be an immense cash crops- and huge crime reducer.

but our government insists to meddle... reguardless ... because of a silly notion that it should protect its most defective elements from self destruction... the problem is really quite nugatory

  • Alex James doesn't know how to dress nice does he? lol and did he used to be on coke?

  • just legelize it then stupido

  • Oh yeah legalize it? Are you ignorant? What good would that do? Cocaine is mainly sold in USA because the demand and the pay is higher than anywhere else. If consumption lowered in USA, problems would certainly go way down...

  • Comment removed

  • People, he was just given the task to go to Colombia and pull out this video. He's not a journalist. BTW, Uribe does suck, especially his English :)

  • I hear you on uribe's english ha ha ha..oh yeahh and this guy ..he is a shit reporter by the way.

  • uribe sucks

  • As he said....There's to many worderful things about this country, and only one bad. I'm from Colombia, and i'm proud of it. If the world still consuming cocaine, the terrorists will continue doing their bussiness. Offer and demand, Easy

  • Yeah, at least in Colombia anyway.

    Cocaine = Fuels Guerilla Forces.

  • cocaine fuels paramilitar forces, corrupted politicians, as well, just like Uribe

  • hes got sum in him OHH ahahaaa

  • wat??

  • Amy Winehouse must have hated watching this documentary...hehehe

  • regardless of his accent, Uribe has a good English...such a polite and intelligent person!.... contrary to his Brazilian counterpart who cannot speak Portuguese properly and is a dumbass and crafty as well.

I've never been to Colombia...in fact I'd like to...I've seen many videos shot in beautiful spots....such a rich and varied culture...and women.

Most Brazilians laugh at poor Colombians...however, it's the second biggest cocaine consumer in the world...shameful

  • Brazilians laugh at poor Colombians? Why so? That does not make sense to me...

Uribe has a very marked accent from Medellin, Antioquia. It's very peculiar he carries this "paisa" accent when speaking English as well. I'm from Medellin too :)

  • ure man doin the interview looks off his face

  • Uribe comes froma a family that was best friends with one of the main leaders of drugs i dont remember his names

i cant lie and say that uribe hasnt done anything for my country but he has

the thing is he hasnt done anythign major

there is so much poverty and is so dangerous over there, personally i dont like uribe, he is or was part of the colombian mafia, but becasue that was some years ago no one seems to remember.

  • OMG... There's always those urban legends about every single person of high ranking. I wish people could show evidence and not speak from false main stream gossip. Even so, everyone is human and bound to make mistakes. So if one made a mistake one cannot redeem onself and try to do good? Especially in Colombia, where if you're Colombian then you know drug trafficking was very common back in the day and one would be acquainted with people who did so. But one would not stop being friends with them

  • Is not a urban legend, i am not going to go into a great deal of personal revelations but if he had been a great leader or done anything to change my country i wouldn't have grown up here where i am right now i wouldn't speak english and i wouldn't have to call colombia my second home.

Thanks to him i am here and my family is here. You need to be part of the bad things that have happened in colombia to be able to understand how bad Uribe can be ! .

  • Comment removed

  • hahaha, you're full of sh.t. Does that mean that he's been president all your life?? how old are you, 8? You sound too much full of hate for being such a young kid! LOL

  • BBC has to be more selective with their journalist.

  • @revelez1107: Agreed. He asked Uribe a rethorical question: "Does cocaine users anger you?" How can you answer this question? A more valid question is "Does the root of the problem lie in Colombia?". Easy answer: Not at all! It consists cause there is a market in the Western world. Second question: Why is there are market? Answer: Depressed people. Third q. : Why are there depressed people? Smart people will know where this deduction ends. And it is within our own "rich" world, not colombia.

  • I agree he seemed very lost. I don't know who this journalist is but he seemed not to know what he was talking about. When asking the first question, he hesitates and he doesn't seem aware of the problems Colombia has in the first place. This is why he hesitates and says "...cocaine...causing all, or most, or some of the problems here". THE PROBLEMS ARE THE GUERILLAS WHO USE NARCOTICS TO FUND THEIR ARMIES, I wish he could have at least research about it if he was going to interview our president

  • wooow, Alvaro Uribe has a strong accent

  • He looks like he just had a few lines himself, the mad coked eyes on yer man,

  • Cocaine IS NOT the main problem of Colombia nor the root of all the other problems. Poverty IS the main problem and the country has had poverty always, way before the drug boom, Colombia still is a feudal state 200 years behind in world history.

  • I admire president Uribe. Inteligent,strong leader.

  • I'm spanish and I'm apalled at what my government is doing... By supporting Chavez amongst other socialist dictatorships in South America (including the Castro brothers' regime...) he's actually helping to sink all the progress commited leaders like Uribe are doing over there.

  • I'm from Venezuela. Since Hugo Chavez took power in Venezuela, drug trafficking has increased 15 fold there (Vzla)because of his patronage and protection of the Colombian leftist guerrillas (FARC) and other criminals. Down with Chavez!! Viva free Venezuela Libre!! Viva Colombia!! Viva el President Uribe!! Down with despots!

PS. For God's sake, it is NOT Columbia! It IS Colombia!! Saludos a mis hermanos y hermanas de Colombia y Venezuela.

  • ven cuando quieras a colombia parcero!!!

  • I really liked this interview I know Colombia will persevere when all is said and done. Lo se, Viva Colombia te amo.

  • What a badass president

  • How to spell Colombian. C O L O M B I A N. Please show proper respect to the Colmbians by spelling their name correctly. Otherwise thanks for posting

  • How about you start with showing repect by spelling correctly...to be honest i think your overreacting. Respect is more than just spelling. Of course spelling is important, but the content of what is written is alot more important... For example which one do you prefer: 1.Cocaine is more important than Colombians. or 2. Cocaine is harmful to all of Columbia.

P.S. re-read yourself before posting when you give a lesson on spelling!
