I'm sorry if I was harsh. I can't talk without spit. I just want to say that someone ought to do a really thorough & researched DOCUMENTARY on the the history of this band... especially a film that shows their proper place in the sort of avant rap movement that started with bands like Tribe, De La Soul... A movie that plays the trippy shit that DIDNT get on radio. Like the Harry Nilsson and Sly Stone docs out there
I had to wrestle with myself to write this. And seriously, I have seen PM Dawn with Doc- they were amazing- and I have madd respect for this band, but-TRUTH. the guy is not a natural singer
his phrasing is off on the raps,
And this is one of my favorite bands. More should be being done to secure their page in history, and not the history you see on VH1,
or late night "Dance Hits of the 90's" commercials

This band was always too weird for the R&B fans and too R&B for the psychedelic/ grunge crowd at the time... But If ever there was a band dying to be written about, be re-discovered, have THEIR STORY TOLD, it's PM Dawn. Maybe its too late to get Be back on the mic, but it isn't too late to open up the dusty bliss box and let their story really be told, let that music be celebrated. For the rich tapestry of music it was, not just the hits.
THE BOTTOM LINE IS I GOT A STNDING OVATION FROM THOSE WONDERFUL PEOPLE IN MANILA. I LOVE THEM, THEY LOVE ME.
ITS BECAUSE OF IDIOTS LIKE THIS DRUNK FOOL , THAT I WILL NOW TAKE THIS TYPE OF ATTITUDE WITH PEOPLE WHO MAKE IGNORANT COMMENTS.
