The Donegal Irish spelling is Siubhan or sometimes Siun but not Siobhan.

It sounds almost Jamaican!

Would it surprise you to know that many Irish were 'shipped' to Jamaica by the British Crown... Many Jamaicans can rightfully claim Irish ancestry.
Palladium107 2 years ago 16
I did not know that! And so this Jamaican-Irishmen visited their family in Ireland and teached them the rythms!
Roverann 2 years ago
Consider that the rhythms might be an inheritance from both their African and Irish ancestors. :D)
Palladium107 2 years ago
It's 'taught', not 'teached'. It's an irregular verb.

Relativity has a better version of it
shetumare 3 years ago
Agreed, though I believe Relativity's is called Sin Ni Dhuibir, and is in Gaidhlig, this is Gaeilge.
Stoirmeacha 3 years ago
I think in Donegal they say "Gaeilig" not "Gaeilge".
arielsion 3 years ago
Yes, I believe you're right. I'm just using Gaeilge in reference to Irish and Gaidhlig in reference to Scottish Gaelic.
Stoirmeacha 3 years ago
Thanks :) Although my family always says "Gaeilic"...
Happy New Year!
