  • My mother told me that money don't buy happiness. I guess she lied big time!

  • Hey Doc,

You shouldn't worry too much about UV light damaging cigars in glass-top humidors, as glass actually absorbs UV. However glass can be around 10x more thermally conductive than wood, so you might get more temperature variation if you live somewhere hot. Depends on how much you like to show off your prized stogies!

  • im having some issues keeping my humidor around the 70% humidity level. when i brush it with distilled water it is the correct level, but over the next day it drops around 60 to 55%. do you have any suggestions for what i could change?

  • @saucychurch23 I'm happy to let you know my thoughts. What kind of humidifier are you using and what have the conditions been in your house?

  • @docstogiefresh its about 65 degrees in my house, i know thats a little cooler then it should be. it's a simple humidor. it can hold about 30 cigars if that helps to size it. the actually humidifier is 2 and 1/2 inches and round. I've found if i keep an extra sponge in the humidor, the humidity stays closer to 70% but id like to not have it in there if possible. if you have any ideas, that would be great!

  • @saucychurch23 what you would need to do is. Take out all of your cigars an clean out the humi of all the lose tobacco that may have fell off the cigar an then what you want to do is spray the hell out of it with distilled water.an wipe it down. then wait 12 hours then repeating the steps again then your humi should be ready an holding it rh after you do that you should be ready to put your cigars right back in there for the correct storage. this should work, good luck an happy smokes

  • how come you have so many humidors? do you collect them?

  • @hortopiro Yes, I do collect humidors. It started with collecting cigar boxes as a kid. I just love boxes and can't bring myself to get rid of them easily. Of course, as I got older and started smoking cigars, the "boxes" that I collected and saved were more expensive boxes....

  • loving ur vids doc , ima subscribe so keep em coming, and how much does one of the regular humidor costs ? im just starting out and will be buying a couple each time i can , ty in advance ; D

  • @boy4everjoy Humidors come in many different shapes, sizes and materials. The costs vary widely depending on these factors.

  • anywhere i can get the second last humidor u shared with a white diamond in the middle?

  • @JamesWeiCAO That humidor was made by Eddie De Jong of Vanderburgh Humidors in Canada.

  • everything is limited edition lol.

  • is that a ventilation system going out of your window?

  • Yes, it is the ventilation tube for a portable air conditioner. During summer, I try to keep my cigar room cool.

  • wow, its not too often you get a channel to reply to your comments. Very much appreciated, definitely subbed. hope to see more videos :)

  • Question Doc, do you leave the cellophane wrappers on the cigars when you put them in your humidors?, I notice a lot of people do that. Is it better for the cigars?

  • Shoot me a direct message and I'll send you a URL for an article that I wrote on the topic.

  • Wow dat b alot uv boxes. Does your wife get pissed cuz I only have 4 and my wife wants me to get rid of some. ;(,,

  • LOL. No, my wife is a saint and puts up with it.

  • at 2:10 you say tree fifty

    dollars or hundred dollars

cause im thinking of buying one of those for my small humidor

  • $3.50

  • how long do you keep the humidipaks for doc?

  • I keep them for 2.5 to 3.0 months, depending on how dry it is. Also, if you have a wood humidor, use the next highest RH% than what you would like your humidor set at. So, if you want 65%, you would choose the 69%RH Boveda (i.e., humidipak) packets.

  • Hey, what forums do you go on for cigar enthusiasts?

  • I used to be on a bunch, but I don't have the time since I picked up Facebook and Twitter. NOw I'm only on Stogie Chat

  • Great video, I love how you have your video edited at the start like it was hand painted look. You have a very nice collection, I'm just starting. Only have a small 40 humidor.

  • whats the song?

  • The song at the beginning is 'La Bruja' by Conjunto Jardín and the song at the end is, 'Border Town Alt,' a bit of canned music by Westar Music.

  • my dad just got this cool new humidor... now he needs more stogies to fill it up... lol

  • Awsome!!!!
