Yeah it gets pretty damn hot. Some consider a light weight AC556 barrel ruined after a 100rd burst. Mine handled it just fine, several times over.

It's not as bad as an AR but you still get a blast. I'm left handed so the AC is quite a bit better for me than the AR with the can on.
