Dude put some foam in your rifle case....tell the range master wherever you are that if they let people in the range with 30rd mags.....they're gonna load them with thirty rounds (kinda gay, like having a "Gun free zone"....means "Victims Here Zone"). Learn to give correct complete information if you are going to talk to someone about mg legality....get some self confidence when talking to people too.
The reason the range only allows 5 rounds in the mag is due to the fact that some guy committed suicide at there about 10 years ago and they figured the next mentally unstable person might try to take out some people with him or her - hence the 5-round limit. And if you want something that actually fires when you pull the trigger, the AK is your gun. A precision fire weapon doesn't do you a whole lot of good if it doesn't shoot. Reliability > all else in a combat situation.
