Robin is wrong about this. There is no "easier" way to lose someone you love. When they go slowly you may have to watch them being sick but you also get the chance to show your love by helping them, and to be with them through their process and say goodbye. These things are very important to the ones left behind. When someone dies suddenly, you have to adjust to their absence after they go and work to find a sense of closure.
I like that Sam is going with Michael to check on Abby.
Robin's logic is terrible. She says she doesn't want her family to watch her die, but what did she think would happen when she finally DID near the end of her life due to the virus?
I can't decide if I like this Maggie chick or not. Really, I can't decide. She's not a "love to hate" character like Anthony or Lisa. She really is....nothing. But...ehh screw it.

Robin is breaking my heart. This show might be depressing, but her story is the only one I feel compassion about. I grew up with Robin and I hate that they are killing her off.

I feel sorry for Liz and Lucky fans...the producers and writers screwed them up so badly and they could have been great. JJ actually said part of the reason he is leaving the show, is because he wanted them together bc he loves working with RH, but the producers refused. Well, I love Liz and she can use a fresh start. Hopefully that's where she's headed.
What's funny is Guza wanted to fire RH (Liz) and apparently fans saved her job. Where were all you Liz haters, why didn't you convince Guza to stand behind his decision? Now you have to watch Liz freely express herself in these scenes. HA!
@victoriaindigo It wasn't entirely Guza's decision. In fact, from what I read (and heard), he was pretty pissed at having to hire her back. Besides, what the fans did to "persuade" TPTB is nothing short of shameful. They threatened to have sponsors cancel. They threatened to set fire to and/or blow up the studio. They threatened to boycott the show. Imagine how tptb reacted to all that in a severe economic downturn. They also got REALLY ugly with the actors SBu and KeMo.

My point is that online I get the impression it's mostly Liz haters out there! On You Tube and other boards Liz haters seem to be in the majority.
@victoriaindigo I'm not talking blame, so much as accountability. If folks want to stop watching a show, that's their business. To boycott so that sponsors cancel, to ask sponsors to cancel, that leads to actions that affect others. And tweeting to SBu and KeMo and calling the actors filthy names and including family members and such, that's just unacceptable behavior. Personally, I think ABC/GH was wrong to cave in, but it wasn't my decision to make, so . . . tbc
@50patrice As to Liz haters . . . well I admit I'm surprised by their/our numbers. It wasn't always like this. I think people just finally got so tired of the same ol same ol, added to truly despicable behavior (yesterday being the straw that broke the camel's back. I mean, c'mon, usually there are Liz lovers going to bat by now, but there were only1- 2. I'm guessing even liz supporters found her behavior yesterday too difficult to swallow. Liz fans used to be all over the place.
@50patrice There are PLENTY of Liz fans out there. You just don't see them much on this channel (Simply GH). They have quickly learned that any suport they give will be shot down here, in addition to 50 million thumbs down and messages of "too many negative votes". Therefore they tend to not comment here cuz what's the point? They exist, just on other channels. Week after week in soap opera digest RH continues to be the favorite actress.
@dra1000 Sweetie, I'm sorry, but that has NEVER stopped them before. I'm hoping there are Liz fans, who like me w/Sam (08), were as disappointed in her VERY bad behavior yesterday and the day before. Using the same tactic as Lucky's deceased wife was disgraceful. Blaming Lucky for her life is just irresponsible and stupid. If Liz fans can blame other characters for they're bad behavior (Sam?) and don't call Liz on this . . . well, I will have finally lost all possible respect for them.
@dra1000 fyi KMo have been #1 for the last couple of weeks and for the times that RH have been #1 is due to her overzealous fans, liz fans spent all their time voting in all these magazines to keep her relevant so she wont get fire and not due to her skills, its sad that her fans will result to such desperate attempts to keep RH on the show when others like JJ/KMc are leaving of their own will. RH is a one dimensional actress that's why the writers find it difficult to write for her
@50patrice Boycotting MEANS not watching a show! If sponsors cancel as a result, that's on them. Sponsors don't pull ads off a soap because fans ASK them to, they pull ads if their advertised products don't sell. If Liz fans had stopped watching had RH been fired, that would have been their right, even if that meant less views for sponsored products.
Obviously hate-tweeting SB and KM was wrong and crazy.

@victoriaindigo I know what boycotting means. What I was saying was that they didn't stop with not watching. They actually did a letter writing campaign to get Sponsors to back out of contracts with the network. And yes, sponsors have done that in the past if enough people are threatening to not purchase the product unless . . . I am not talking rights. Of course it was their right. It is our right to have children and spank them. Doesn't mean we should exercise it. tbc
@50patrice As to saving Guza's job . . . most JaSammers probably had no interest in saving Guza's job. Like fans of other characters, JaSammers felt the writing had gone way downhill. In addition, for JaSammers, the whole Liason debacle happened because of Guza giving in to Liz/RH fans and a total re-writing of GH/Jason/Liz history, not to mention a complete re-write of character's personalities. I could be wrong, but i'm fairly certain that's why folks didn't ride to his rescue.

Well I'm pretty sure if lucky does leave & keeps his distance from Liz, she'll become all obsessed with the mystery Guy that saved her from the water, her Knight in shining armor. As far as the DVD goes, I wish they would show it but I think it was Franco showing what did happen that night with what he did or didn't do to Sam.

I don't know what's going on with GH? It's become so depressing to watch. They keep getting rid of people, First Jax, then Nicolas and now Robin. It pisses me off that Finally Lisa is out of Robin and Patrick's life, and now they are going to kill her off. I hope that they don't continue with this storyline, because it would be very sad and I don't think I could watch anymore. Almost all the story lines are depressing right now, I use to look forward to watching GH and now not so much.
@Phylis6423 Firing the actors who play Jax, Nikolas, and Kristina was a bad choice, but the actress for Robin quit and from the looks of it, she doesn't want to come back. Yes, it's super depressing, but I think it makes sense for her character and I believe that if GH is cancelled, then the robin storyline with be the one thing to bring out the best acting and writing that gh has seen in years. It's a soap and so it's gonna have angsty stories. I rather have this than another affair story

From 07-08, during Sam's craziest times, I was so disappointed in some of her choices and decisions. I understood why, but they were still inexcuseable. Sam always fought her way back to right. Apologized. Learned. tbc
@50patrice Even Carly admits she's a neurotic, pain in the ass. LOL She knows and admits she does wrong. But with Liz we get no break. There's no let up in her wrong doing. She is always self righteous, whining, weeping, blaming, manipulative. We never get a break., something that at least hints at her changing. She just repeats her craziness ad naseum, while blaming everyone else for her trainwreck of a life. At least before I could be outraged AND amused. Now it's just shameful.
@50patrice I like RH, but I find most of Liz storylines boring. I just wish Liz had something exciting to do. If the writers do not give RH/Liz something interesting, then she might as well be backburned. Do you want to see less of Liz? :-D
@valsignia I want to see NO liz. If the writers can't see their way to giving the character growth/potential for a healed life, than it's like cockroaches . . . why do they exist? RH has been on since 97. Her character not experiencing growth says something about what the writers think about either Becky/the character. Writers ALWAYS have a reason for not giving an actor more. There's a reason for who they give the complex stuff to. They haven't done that with Becky since the rape.
@50patrice I was not watching GH during Liz's rape. Maybe the writers do not think that Becky has the acting chops to pull of a major storyline. I thought Becky was good during the time she was trying to be a surrogate for Jax and Courtney. I actually liked that storyline. I started to like Liz even more after that, but now she has been written into a corner. The character is not progressing. Liz has become repetitive and predictable with her actions. I am tired of the same old thing with her
@valsignia The thing is, she HASN'T been written into a corner. Not anymore than any other character on the show. ALL of the characters at some point have been poorly written, or had their character's personality or history re-written, or changed for the worse. There HAS to be more to it than that. From the writing/production side. Jason was changed. Sam was changed. Sonny has changed. Monica and Alan were in constant flux. Luke has been changed . . .it's not just the writers.
@50patrice i have thought the Same thing, the reason jasam have all these emotional s/l even though we(fans) will welcome more light and fluffy life for them is that KM/SB can handle the challenge, they have the skills, Sam baby dying was so brilliantly acted by KM/SB/MB/NLG, and during the 07-08 s/l with jasam breakup,KM was still able to show Sam pain/hurt/vengeance/rage and KM was awesome and now with this Franco s/l KM/SB have risen to their greatness, they have left us in tears
I disagree with couples keeping things from each other. In my experience it only leads to someone getting hurt. However, when you're with a doctor you have to accept that there are thing that they can't legally tell you.
I have never seen anyone as manipulative as Liz. That was ridiculous.

However, a Liz fan has a YT site with all her s/l and I've started watching from the beginning a few weeks ago. My thoughts are still the same for Liz, but I now sympathize and pity her. Hopefully her end story for GH will be discovering her strength so she can just be happy w/out the need for Lucky or any other man.

I remember them on the bridge when they first broke up and Jason said he would always love her and he would be ok as long as he knew she was in the world some where. And she said yeah but she would be some else's wife. He said that would ok as long as she was alive.

@porklab great argument IMO. I hate when people try to say Sam is no better than Liz or vice versa. Pointing out someone's wrong doesn't make what the other person's decision any better. Sam was emotionally broken when Jason left her (as is liz now) and yes, both have made mistakes. The different is that liz is still making them. And I agree, Sam wasn't being manipulative in Hawaii, she was being honest. Now, it was a misjudgment on her part, but since when did we demand for flawless characters

Sam has learned from her mistakes, she moves on, apologizes, and rarely makes the same mistake again and she doesnt blame others. She is non judgemental, accepts people for who they are. Carly, well, IDK, shes carly.Liz, never changes. She makes the same mistakes over and over and blames others.Sam doesnt manipulate nor is she coniving. There is no comparison.

I see Robin's point... My dog is dying of cancer and we have to put him down... People keep saying that at least I get to say goodbye. She's had to experience both sides of death - slowly with Stone and quickly with her parents (although it eventually turned out they were alive). But, she can only speak for herself - not Emma and certainly not Patrick.
Poor Abby . . . and Michael. I haven't read any spoilers lately, so I didn't even know Abby was being killed off until someone mentioned it on here the other day. He is going to completely lose it, isn't he? I love how he and Sam have been lately. I think he is the perfect person to help her. Who is going to find the dvd? Spin? Jason? And without Sam there to calm him down; what is Jason going to do if he finds it and watches it?
Robin it is worst to lose someone suddenly. Illness gives you time to accept that the person you love will be gone. You can start the grieving process before the person is gone.

I am so very sad for Robin, but kinda happy Jason refused her request. I just wonder if eventually he'll give in, or if Robin will find a way to disappear anyway. She could go to Sonny, right, even though she stopped dealing with him after the whole firing a gun in her house . . . I am just sad for what's to come for Robin and all who love her . . . including us, the viewers.
OMG for all the J&R fans, that started watching when Stone died of Aids, followed Robin in her grief, Jason's accident, we witnessed to their love...today was incredible. More Steve and Kimberly scenes as we say goodbye to Robin. She has been there since she was 7. Long history between the 2 and with GH. Don't understand the decision to have her die but we will follow in tears.

Robin is wrong about this. There is no "easier" way to lose someone you love. When they go slowly you may have to watch them being sick but you also get the chance to show your love by helping them, and to be with them through their process and say goodbye. These things are very important to the ones left behind. When someone dies suddenly, you have to adjust to their absence after they go and work to find a sense of closure.

Besides, what the fans did to "persuade" TPTB is nothing short of shameful. They threatened to have sponsors cancel. They threatened to set fire to and/or blow up the studio. They threatened to boycott the show. Imagine how tptb reacted to all that in a severe economic downturn. They also got REALLY ugly with the actors SBu and KeMo.

Sponsors don't pull ads off a soap because fans ASK them to, they pull ads if their advertised products don't sell. @50patrice As to saving Guza's job . . . most JaSammers probably had no interest in saving Guza's job. Like fans of other characters, JaSammers felt the writing had gone way downhill. In addition, for JaSammers, the whole Liason debacle happened because of Guza giving in to Liz/RH fans and a total re-writing of GH/Jason/Liz history, not to mention a complete re-write of character's personalities. I could be wrong, but i'm fairly certain that's why folks didn't ride to his rescue.

It pisses me off that Finally Lisa is out of Robin and Patrick's life, and now they are going to kill her off. I hope that they don't continue with this storyline, because it would be very sad and I don't think I could watch anymore. Almost all the story lines are depressing right now, I use to look forward to watching GH and now not so much.

ALL of the characters at some point have been poorly written, or had their character's personality or history re-written, or changed for the worse. There HAS to be more to it than that. From the writing/production side. Jason was changed. Sam was changed. Sonny has changed. Monica and Alan were in constant flux. Luke has been changed . . .it's not just the writers.

@sbwan I'm a Sam fan, but not Carly or Liz. I feel that, unlike Sam, they don't own up to their flaws & allow for character growth. S/l after s/l, they remain the same. However, a Liz fan has a YT site with all her s/l and I've started watching from the beginning a few weeks ago. My thoughts are still the same for Liz, but I now sympathize and pity her. @porklab the difference is no one tries to defend Liz's bad deeds, to bring Carly/Sam into it is to try to show some objectivity that no one is perfect, but it seems that Carly/Sam fans circle liz's carcass like vultures ready to pick the bones. I have not seen one comment defending Liz, but in the same circumstances and all out War or the Worlds breaks out when u dare to evoke the name of Carly or Sam in any negative way EVEN when they themselves do the despicable bad deeds.

And she did manipulate him she kept stressing that it is their honeymoon and that nothing is more important than that even tho she knew how dangerous Franco was and even once the threat was proved credible she still showed little to no concern that he would try to come after Joss kept trying to throw responsibly onto Shawn. @sbwan Nope, never said that. Anytime Liz gets trashed rghtfully so, people bring in Sam/Carly. The only thing they can really say is what Sam did so many years ago. Yes she did stress it was their honeymoon, so what? She knew the dangers, she eve said that. Thats what Shawn was hired to do, protect Carly and Joss. Jason and Sam can take care of themselves together. Sam does accept Jasons work, the only one that has. Didnt matter whether they were in Hawaii on their honeymoon or in PC.

So sad that Robin is leaving...I wish GH would have tried to keep her..Maybe they did, but honestly I don't want to see her die...I was hoping GH could have sent her away to Africa again for a few months, and then bring a new character in to play her. I know I would have hated it if they did, but It's so sad to have her die. And Patrick is just going to blame himself. Gh should'nt have involved Lisa into the reason she dies, it's just not fair for the storyline Robin had in the first place.

I bet the person that Matt is helping is Olivia. She's been dizzy and passing out. A tumor is not what Robin has so I bet it's Olivia. It's also cool that Jason remembers what Robin has gone thru and about the protocol. I remember them on the bridge when they first broke up and Jason said he would always love her and he would be ok as long as he knew she was in the world some where. And she said yeah but she would be some else's wife. He said that would ok as long as she was alive.

Jason stayed because he wanted to and because he had intel that Franco wasnt there.

@porklab great argument IMO. I hate when people try to say Sam is no better than Liz or vice versa. Pointing out someone's wrong doesn't make what the other person's decision any better. Sam was emotionally broken when Jason left her (as is liz now) and yes, both have made mistakes. The different is that liz is still making them. And I agree, Sam wasn't being manipulative in Hawaii, she was being honest. Now, it was a misjudgment on her part, but since when did we demand for flawless characters

Funny how viewers of this show can pick sides and defend them to the death no matter how asinine it makes them look. Carly has her kiss ass fans and Sam has her kiss ass fans, but it seems like both those factions tend to team up to talk ill of Liz and her faction when the truth is all the females are severely flawed! @sbwan I am a Sam fan,Carly fan to (love/hate for her).The difference is, that Liz never changes. Sam has learned from her mistakes, she moves on, apologizes, and rarely makes the same mistake again and she doesnt blame others. She is non judgemental, accepts people for who they are. Carly, well, IDK, shes carly.Liz, never changes. She makes the same mistakes over and over and blames others.Sam doesnt manipulate nor is she coniving. There is no comparison.

I see Robin's point... My dog is dying of cancer and we have to put him down... People keep saying that at least I get to say goodbye. Even though I don't want to say goodbye, I would rather it had just happened rather than having to see him like this, see it coming, know it's coming, it's the worst. I know for me it's just a dog, but the theme still resinates.

She's had to experience both sides of death - slowly with Stone and quickly with her parents (although it eventually turned out they were alive). But, she can only speak for herself - not Emma and certainly not Patrick.

Robin it is worst to lose someone suddenly. Illness gives you time to accept that the person you love will be gone. You can start the grieving process before the person is gone.

She could go to Sonny, right, even though she stopped dealing with him after the whole firing a gun in her house . . . OMG for all the J&R fans, that started watching when Stone died of Aids, followed Robin in her grief, Jason's accident, we witnessed to their love...today was incredible. More Steve and Kimberly scenes as we say goodbye to Robin. She has been there since she was 7. Long history between the 2 and with GH. Don't understand the decision to have her die but we will follow in tears.
