  • Anna: You are touched by God ~ thank you for sharing you with the world. We are better for it. Magnificent music, my soul smiles.

  • @nanabexhoeft It is a beautiful performance - why would you try to cheapen all her practice and training by attributing her performance to a supernatural power?

The Parthenon is beautiful and we don't need to Athenian gods or the virgin sacrifices to appreciate it. She did this on her own - no faerie tales needed

  • This makes me feel terrible about my physical and musical beauty.

  • I really wish these jerks would respect this great talent of a woman. She is baring her soul and talent. Yet these weirdos dwell in the primitive mundane and insignificances. I'm not going further because it would make a difference if I Sid or commented any more negativity...she has a splendid talent. My heart and soul flow through the notes as they reach my ears..Thank you for posting (I will keep this recording on repeat).

Your mastery of those intricate subtle flourishes reveal heavenly anecdotes . Keys to enlightenment , profound upliftments which help in our earthly toils . such is the mission of pure artistry . Thanks for sharing, great talent and work!

  • I was looking for some instrumental music to listen to while writing my thesis. I ended up following your whole description of the piece, so interesting I found it. The noir photo also helped, I must confess. The most pleasant 10 min I ever "wasted", thank you.

  • This is such a weird ritual to make a sandwich

  • phie Mutter, Sarah Chang, Hilary Hahn and Janine Jansen i stumbled around Ann Fontanella ;)

First it took me a moment to get into the way you play ...IN now!

The absolute amazing thing is ...you are really connected to music & your listeners!

I love the part between 5:07 - 5:24 so much!

Silly question ...but do you like David Oistrakh's way to play?

  • @babaganousha , that is the part I personally find the most devastating, too. Beethoven described a whirring and dizziness caused by his ears - I like to think that maybe that's what that portion shares with us. Oistrakh was undoubtedly a great musician. He wasn't always as great a human being, as evidenced by his treatment of Erick Friedman, but this does not reflect on his musical capacities :)....Thanks for tuning in!! :)

  • I just love your comments. They add so much to my enjoyment of these pieces.

  • i saw this in the recommendations of a video about "the worlds best violinist" when i came here i was like, that other guy is not as good as this. i subscribed

  • @okeydokeysammy , Lol, thanks very much! :) I'm glad you liked it!

  • VERY GOOD

  • you're amazing! :D:D omg!

  • like me today........

  • I have 2 questions, How do you set up a bridge anyway and how many notes are on each string, I though thteir was only 3 or 4 considering if fourth finger is a not. I hope I can play violin like you can someday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Amazing work. I'm really impressed with your sensibility to play the violin, and it's a gift to us your annotations along the video. Bravo!

    Arrivederci!

  • I know this might sound like a stupid question, but is the melody being played by a violin or a viola?

  • muito bom !!!!

  • @unrealord -- I did not ask about you "doing your work" and I certainly don't care if you're a professional. Did she ask you to rudely criticize your performance? I don't think so. So how could it be your "work"? Also, the last time I checked I was not an asshole. A person with such professionalization should know better than to use such words.

  • @violinlove00 you would never understand my profesionalism, let me do my work little pussy

  • @unrealord -- Nor do I want to try to understand because the impression that you just showed is that 1) you can't type ANYTHING without using some dirty word to insult me 2) you pretend to be "professional". 3) you're still and IDIOT. Wow. The crap that you typed made you look so professional. Good job.

  • @violinlove00 well, you make me use dirty words because your ignorance, you cant understand the work of a professional you lazy bitch

  • @unrealord -- Which shows how immature you are. What made you come to the conclusion that I'm lazy? I'd like to see you explain that. This all started because you, who doesn't know squat about music, insulted Ann Fontanella. Also, I've seen your channel, and by the looks of it 1) YOU'RE NOT PROFESSIONAL 2) You make yourself feel better by insulting others and 3) People HATE you. Since you clearly cannot stop commenting, I'll be the adult here and end this.

    Have a good day ;D

  • @violinlove00 Well, Ann Fontanella sucks, and you suck too, stop bitching around and let me do my work, i will make my professional decision in every shitty work like this, have a nice day too bitch

  • @unrealord swear much?

  • @harrihaven2 yeah, i am a professional, this video sucks =D

  • @unrealord mmhmm, sure. I'm with violinlove00 on this, I don't believe a true professional would misuse language to critique a fellow violinists performance. Swearing and cussing make you sound much less intelligent than I know you are. For your sake try to stay away from misusing language and parading that you are a professional, you may well be, but it communicates unprofessionalism. Sorry, but it does. Best of luck to your next performance! :-)

  • @harrihaven2 Well, who cares about the language asshole, the whole point of this is that this video is a piece of shit, thats all =)

  • @unrealord What makes you think this video is so bad?

  • @harrihaven2 because it is bad asshole

  • @unrealord What makes you think this video is so bad? tone and quality of the sound is great, the vibrato is excellent, she plays with emotion, the dynamics are excellent, she even added attonnations for people like me who like to go a bit deeper into the piece. What's not to like?

  • @harrihaven2 everything, you dont know anything about music, this video is shit

  • @unrealord Maybe I don't, but because you can't give any musical or even non-musical valid reason why this video is lousy, you have no right to hate on it. I have no idea whats going on in your life right now but I am praying for you!

  • @unrealord Maybe I don't, but because you can't give any musical or even non-musical valid reason why this video is lousy, you have no right to hate on it. I have no idea whats going on in your life right now but I am praying for you! ^_^

  • @harrihaven2 i should pray for you too, because you are a total fool and an asshole, why cant you accept this video is shit, like your life, haha

  • @unrealord it's 20:1 favorable, but a 15 year old with no musical talent knows best. Omg, now we see the light and the error of our pointless lives has been revealed by a mere child. Why didn't we see it before? All the time we wasted imagining this music was excellent. How can we bear to look in the mirror at the stark truth of our worthlessness?

  • @Ardalla555 maybe its your case, because you are an asshole hahaha

  • @unrealord What makes you think this video is so bad? tone and quality of the sound is great, the vibrato is excellent, she plays with emotion, the dynamics are excellent, she even added attonnations for people like me who like to go a bit deeper into the piece. What's not to like? btw, I think its so funny, the smiley face right after you cuss off me and her..cracked me up! ^_^

  • 0:00-9:17 Take note of how beautiful the violinist is.

  • Who are the stupids who didn't like this? ¬¬

  • Great performance and great annotations! I've been annotating a bunch of Beethoven myself and your walkthru style is really great. It may influence mine now ;).

You may want to note in the title that it's Opus 50 and not 40, since there are 2 Violin Romances. I love Heifetz too, tho as you say he's very "recognizable". Still, that vibrato and portamento is so electric, even if his co-partners might not have the same intonation (piano trios....). OK - I'll be subscribing - very cool.

  • @lvbandmore , Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed it...

  • I cannot believe there are 17 people who voted thumbs down on this piece. Whoever you are, you have no ears.

  • Oh My God!!! simply stunning!!!! great job!!! i have a question i am 17 yrs old and i have 2 qu's. does the type of bridge you have make a difference? and what type of violin do you have (playing on)? like a stradivarious or a scott cao? or neither? BTW, you are my idol!:) good luck on everything!! thanx!:)

  • @violinist2bvalentino , Yes, the bridge does make a difference, but it is a personal choice. I prefer a high bridge with the strings spaced closely. Some people like it lower, some like low E strings, etc. Experiment and find what works for you. In this recording, I played an Italian violin from about 1690.

  • i wish in india we had people who knew violin as good as you.

I am 22 and i have no idea how long does it take to learn playing this great instrument well. I just want to learn it no matter what it takes.

I guess i will die without ever getting a chance to learn an art as romantic as this. It makes me very sad. Why am i living? BTW you play very well and you are a gorgeous lady!

  • @ruchirpareek ...please do not be sad...my friend...do your bit for the world...however...that is all that counts...

  • @politicopol

Thanks for the positive comment my friend!

    You are absolutely right.

  • @ruchirpareek ...if you are Hindu..."Om Eim Sarasvatiye Swaha..." (I am not)

  • I just found this today :) What a truly beautiful piece. I have been wanting to learn the violin forever. I have one but where I live there are no teachers and no orchestra so I have to teach myself. I do however play the French Horn :) and that is God's instrument. I love it :) Thanks for sharing the talent God has given you :)

  • @princessinlove14 The god of the French ;) The violin, however, is the God of all the universe!!!!!! :) I'm just kidding....all classical music is great, regardless of its source.

  • master pices :D

  • I mean, nothing too much, nothing held back.

  • You are very straightforward which is great:)
