  • @beerrunner81 Probably true for most Irish songs, but Garryowen is also a military march used in the British and US militaries.

  • I agree 4272hero.....its like listening to the sunrise....when they switch to garyowen(and I'm NATIVE AMERICAN lol hahahaha nooksack,nez perce and abenaki indian (with a little french on my mothers side like an 1/18th and a little italian on my dads side but VERY LITTLE even less italian than french like 1/24th or something lol)

  • Gary Owen, Montana... next to the Little Bighorn Battlefield... Town was named after this song the 7th and Custer loved. Hope it sounded like this as they crossed the eastern plains of Montana... Brave men... beyond what men are now...
