  • I live in Beacon on Rombout Ave (the good area away from South Ave School). I heard it used to be bad around the late 80's/early 90's but it has improved.

  • Thank you for posting this. That train ride along the Hudson is one the best things.

  • i live here.....GET ME OUT--its horrible and its ruining my childhood--especially rombout--@oblicity faker--HIIIII CHRIS ITS IAIN WHERE U BEEN????

  • I walked from the train station. I highly recommend it.

  • What are those buildings from 2:33-2:57? Great video by the way. Beacon is awesome.

  • That is the old abandoned factory buildings of Madame Brett Park, sometimes if you can find a way in there are airsoft wars, although I'm not sure it's legal :\ I live about 5 minutes biking from the park, it's great. And yes, Beacon is awesome :) lived there for almost my whole life!

  • OH wow! Well, I definitely have to check out this place. I love exploring abandoned buildings! Is there a way to get to the park without a car? If I go I have to take a train or something. ahahaha

  • Depends, where are you from? If you're close enough you can walk, or take a bike, and from 2:51 - 2:57 those are on the Dennings Point Trail, it's a 10 mile trail around a big peninsula . I go on that and the Riverside Trail very often on my bike.

  • I'm from the Bronx actually. ahahaa. But I'll be taking the Marble Hill train station to Beacon station. From there I was hoping I can walk it, or if there's a bus or cab that can possibly drop me off there.

  • id say either catch the loop bus or when you get there call (845) 838-TAXI both of them can get you there, if you're taking the loop, check the bus schedule. to get to the two trails, you can actually get there in a minute or two by walking from the train station, when you get off go towards the river, and there should be a parking lot followed by a dirt road going under the overpass, follow that for about two miles and you were just on the riverside trail, very scenic i suggest you check it out

  • Thanks a ton for the information friend. Much appreciated.

  • Hey no problem man! BTW, when are you planning to go?

  • Actually I think that's the old Tuc Tape factory buildings down by the old train tracks that used to go along 52. The Madame Brett Mill buildings are more in the woods, and look a bit different, unless things've changed in the past 4 or 5 years.

  • Yep your right, my bad.. Those buildings are literally right down the road from my house

  • i live here, its a great place, but a bit of a tourist site :/ but t still feels nice to live in such a quite neighborhood :) hope you enjoyed it! plus the riverside trail, i go down that almost every day, its a great sight to see

  • You're lucky. Beacon is a special place. The riverside trail is magical. I would be there everyday too if I lived there.

  • yea the only downside of the trail is its closed most of the winter, were the water is at its finest most of the time. and right now is absolutely GORGEOUS, not a cloud to be seen!

  • @laviolist lol I grew up in Beacon....It use to be a sh**hole. They did a lot to that city....To bad the cops make it unbearable to live in anymore I had to move....lol... Nasty....but I go back every weekend to visit ;)

  • @Dt0x75 im in beacon hills so cops dont do shit haha its fishkill cops that patrol here

  • @OblicityFaker hows the diversity

  • thanks for sharing this nice video! I was born in beacon and lived there till i was about 12, so seeing this brought back some nice memories. nice music by the way. thanks again!
