  • @AriClark93 that f-ing awesome...

  • oh, its Agust Rush

  • Haha I always see him on grafton street :) no it's not a dobro btw. . .he's using a normal acoustic with a single coil pick up and a steel slide

  • lol at the people walking past, i would be throwing notes at him rofl

  • lool.. this is not irish.

    Thats american country music

  • @bloodtypebloodtype

Of course it's American music, however the player Niall Lawlor is from Ireland. Hence the title. By your logic, Jimmy Page is an American too

  • @skylarking19 Where exactly do you think American music originates from?

  • @thraknik Not sure why you're asking that, I never mentioned the origin of American music myself. I was stating that the style of music he's playing is an American style of music (of which there are many types). The various genres of American music are a melting pot of various ethnic and traditional influences.

So where do you think American music originates from?

  • @bloodtypebloodtype it's actually more bluegrass style guitar! country music is bullshit!

  • class. must get practising my chords!

  • this guy can play on my street anytime.

    oh! there he is now

mo chara i wish you luck.

  • is that a dobro ?

  • @Dimeshit666 No, it's just a regular acoustic guitar with the action (string hight from the fretboard) raised up with a dobro style capo. Kelly Joe Phelps plays like this too on his first three albums.

  • thats what i call a talent and HEY i dont see any one gave him money O.o

  • @thesamoray i did

  • thats what i call a talent

  • I love seeing this guy when I'm in Dublin :D

  • i think hi ran away from texas....

  • Now that's how u play guitar I would give him all the money I have for such beauty not even a sing note mess up 100/10 AWSOMEXD

  • gotta love the amp chair

  • how can people just walk past that?

  • grafton street!

  • Thats the irish for ya! =D

  • I've seen him there before, there was a huge crowd around watching him play but then the police came told him to move off because the crowd were blocking the street.

  • fffffffff fantastic !

  • What a bunch of fucken tight asses! 1 prick only gave a dollar and the rest didn't give a shit! Jezz people like that shit me.

  • ....Over here in Ireland, we tend to use Euros as currency, that note that dropped in was 5 euro, which is worth about 7 Dollars, not one.

  • best thing i have ever heard

  • he's obviously rather a Bluegrass player, american music

  • wow

  • how incredibly sexy is that man?!

  • magnificient!!!

  • I would throw my wallet on him !

    This dude is amazing !!!

  • where is that looks like dublin where im from yay

  • that guy is awsome, I bet if he had big tits and blond hair he would get a record deal.

  • in berlin we have a fat barefood american cowboy, playin folk-guitar in the underground-trains, but this guy obvously rock alot more ^ ^

  • wow...this guy needs to come to poppy moutian bluegrass festival in Morehead Kentucky...he would blow ricky skaggs outta the water!!!!

  • that is some heavy stuff.. damn!

  • come on the irish!!!

  • he's playing really often in Whelan's

  • He looks like a texan man who got lost in Ireland and plays music because he's out of money.

  • dublin is full of characters.

  • @Vodd9

    Story of my life bro

Only I'm an Irishman who got lost in Texas.

  • that's not irish :S .... to me sounds like country but i like it ^^

  • his from ireland

  • The Irish actually love American country... it's the strangest thing to me.

  • why so strange american country has its roots in irish music ,check it out n youl see im right

  • yeah, they american country and irish fiddle music seem to have many similiarities ^^

  • That's the greatest load of waffles! hahaaha

  • Yes many of us do love it but people will laugh at you if you admit it. For some reason it's cool to love blues music or for 'rock' singers to sing in the standard fake southern US accent but not to like country music

  • .....i assume you are saying that because you live in ireland because american music has its roots in the blues and in appalachia folk music which all goes right to africa. I guess you could argue that folk music over here has ties to europe by way of instrumental simularity...

  • I kind of doubt that Appalachia folk music goes right to Africa...

please explain the connection to me.

  • Um, actually folk music is mostly a derivative of traditional celtic music. Same thing for bluegrass.

  • The disenfranchised inhabitants of the appalachia region came as dissenters from surrounding plantation colonies. Slave music=blues

Colonists=European primarily protestant English. Not until later did some significant populations of the Scots-Irish come but they primarily went farther west than the Appalachia. The next great wave of Irish immigrantion really stayed confinded in the Northeast/New England

  • both .... celtic music an africanised slavery folk music

  • its called blues douche

  • Blues is derived from other genres faggot

  • I checked his myspace profile...and ....Fucking right on!!!!!!!!!!

  • wat is his myspace

  • Lol,,.. thats amaizing,.. damn^^

  • Fuckin beast

  • That was amazing.

  • What did the devil give you for your soul tommy!? damn

  • somebody give that man a contract with a very big company!

  • His name's Nial, forgot the last name. Used to play in Whelans in Dublin on Sunday nights - and other random days as well. I believe he's recording an album somewhere in the States currently.

  • Please mate come to rock my town!!!!!

  • holy shit! that cowboy's damn good!!

  • HOLY MOLY!!

    What a great player!

  • fuck those dumb people who are passing by...they don't apriciate the music, they just live they black and white lifes without seeing these people. I'm sure he's not doing it for the money, he just wants to share the music with everybody else...but nobody cares.yes there is 1 man who stops, but there are 1000...

  • they may of had places to be.

  • ummmm you can not see the people who are standing in front of him. Even the videographer is standing before him. So you are drawing a conclusion from your slighted observation. You can even hear people being responsive, how could they not, he is GREAT!

  • you are a complete fool. he's busking, I.E. if you like what you hear you give money. plus the fact that thats probably the busyest street in dublin during the day. people live lives, they have things to do, doesn't make them anything except who they are. the other two are dead right.

  • plus this video is only a little more than 2 minutes long

those people could have been standing there for 20minutes and already threw money in

  • Damn he sure knows how to plucks some strings. =)

  • even rory gallagher wud b inprised by this
