@2054890 On my Win 7 I eventually (lots of searching I might add so I thought I'd share it) found the ALP at HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT in the regedit and then scrolled waaaaaaay down to Virtual store click on that and Machine -Software - Microsoft and the sub folder gives you a tree with ALP at the top and WZD at the bottom. Simples :o) Hope it works for you!

PS.... You can only find this ALP in the Virtual store when you have run out of rips and you get the "registration code is not correct, please copy and paste" message. ALP does not appear in the Microsoft folder in Virtual store until then!!!!!! Not on my machine anyway....hope this helps...it works for me anyway :o)

@DreamloverLambi It will work for some time and then you will have to go back and delete "option" again, and then it will work just fine, but you'll have to keep deleting "option" more than once.

I had MDR running for a while but one day it just broke and when i tried to ripp a DVD to my hard drive it said some thing like " registry code was not copied correctly " then the program would crash. Im using windows 7.

SOLUTION:

1.right click on MDR ---- select troubleshoot compadability

2. choose Service pack 2 and run.

3 enjoy ripping :)

This is one of 48chicks's tips ( i am not taking credit for it)

Right click on the programme and click on the "Capabilities" tab click the unchecked box next to " run as administrator" then click apply. Magic DVD Ripper should run as usual. It really worked for me!
