  • A blast from the past!

  • The late Davy Graham and a female singer called, Holly, recorded a really nice version of this for a rather obscurely-titled album, "Goddington Boundary". It's still available on CD and well-worth checking out .....

  • love this line-up of the ISB :)

  • amazing how he can play the bass that fast and sing at the same time - respect!

  • @yug23

Though notice how he simplifies the bass part while actually singing!

No criticism, speaking as a bass player vocalist myself, mind you!

Looks like a Gibson EB3 by the way; I had one of those myself way back in the 1970's....

  • @xtenkfarpl yes good point I didn't notice that. I'm not a bass player - playing guitar and singing is fairly easy I find but playing bass and singing looks almost impossible to me...

If I did learn bass I'd want one of those basses that Heron is using here.

  • Best wishes and much love Likky, wherever you are.

  • Overall: thumbs down......I like the basic melody, and harmony, the beat is super annoying- sounds like some classical madrigal meets the banana splits.....an embarrassment to the hippie tribe

  • cool to see that they were on german TV in the "Beat Club".

    Great stuff!

  • This is the sound of "happy" :)

  • They were a strange Folk-eclectic-psychedelic band and we all loved their quirky mind expanding music.

  • Omg I love Likky! Williamson was lucky

  • @butterybiscuits67 I agree with you. She was very pretty. She had a very Celtic face.

  • ufff, I love it!!!! absolutly great!!!

  • Super nice!! It is hard to say that this song from the band is my fave? Because I have so many from them ...... a whole youth spent listening ....... that video from them, really displayed their versatility. Almost reggae!

  • Haha i thought he was saying "dont have to worry bout any other Reds" ;) hehe i almost felt offended as a left-wing . but nice song! im so addicted

  • great singing, great song - addictive!

  • hole do a great version of this

  • Wonderful stuff - they weren't called the INCREDIBLE String Band for no reason!

I wouldn't mind betting that this sounded better at the time than on this recording - shame it's so muffled.

    But the spirit comes through!

  • That was class. What was Beat Club - the name of a TV show? Do you mind if I leave a link for my own ISB cover? - "Back in The 1960s" - plz n thanx. Peace :D

  • @grabbitphonya Beat Club was a German music television program that ran from the '60s to the early '80s.

  • @grabbitphonya Please, write the link of your ISB cover. Yes, Beat club is the name of a TV show. Peace :D
