  • This happened in college. What the heck?! When do girls grow up or do some girls NEVER grow up?

  • this woman is a boss

  • i remember in elementary school, i was already exposed to girl politics by a popular "friend" of mine. she'd dictate to the rest of the group who we should shun, what we do, etc. she would act like your friend and then backstab you and even steal your stuff. by the end of the school year, i had rebelled against her rules even if it meant i wouldn't be part of the "in-crowd" anymore and people would judge and spy on me. by the next school year, i had found my true friends. it was worth it.

  • Mean girls was based off this book??

    Well, I feel stupid. -.-

  • Because their girls.......................duh

  • mean girls are awful, they can ruin your life

  • @crystalguada24 true!

  • This is very interesting. I loved the mean girls movie. I'm a girl and I really didn't understand girl world in highschool at all. I was always asking my friends "Why do you want to be with a boy that treats you badly?", "Why do we all have to dress the same?" and "Why do we have to sit at a certian table at lunch?". Things are so much easier when people can just be themselves and not conform all the time.

  • thats why mean girls 2 sucks cause you really cant get anything out of it

with mean girls its funny and more realistic & relatable for teens and you can get like a sociological aspect of high school/girl world

  • lol im a girl and i like wearing makeup becuz i like the way it looks and all.. but also i just like wearing plain tee shirts and jeans and i love playing video games and hanging out with the boys.. there is no problem with wanting to wear makeup and being pretty the problem is when they think they are ugly all the time.

  • @DaLilShorty8999

FINNIALLY! I'm not the only one!

  • 8 girls disagree with this wonderful solution

  • there is no mean girl scene..

  • I think every parent with an incoming teenage daughter needs to sit down, watch this movie, and watch the extras...and read Wiseman's book for extra credit. :)

  • I think this should have a lot more views

  • thumbs up if you only watched this to see the Mean Girl scenes

  • If only every-freaking-one could read this book or watch this video....

  • @yellow1wing25 i guess that all makes sense. But i mean i kinda consider myself as a "hott" guy, (which maybe im wrong) so it seems to me that the only thing that separates me from these other guys is that im nice, and their jerks... i don't get it.

  • sluts but i love this movie

  • Cute*

  • @losonouomo I feel the exact same way! The only girls that have ever given me the time of day are either ugly, or play their love games with me... I see all these girls who are cut and would be fun to go out with, date these assholes who treat them like shit. None of them are more ripped than I am, so I don't understand why the general population of girls are more attracted stupid jerks then the sensitive guy who has more to him then just athletic skill/ looks.

  • @planondeath to them, it;s all about social standing. they feel if they have the popular "hott" boy, they'll be popular, and if they look cute, ppl will like them. i'm a girl myself, and girls just wanna win. they wanna have full attention. im sure it was really never any girl's intention to be mean. we r like that b/c we dont want anyone taking away our "spotlight" and they want to be the only one who looks good. i'm not like that. this movie has a great message.

  • @planondeath look not that its any of my bussiness but you probably shouldnt be so shallow cause you might not think the girls pretty but she might be a really nice girl and she could probably make you really happy and if a girl likes you you shouldnt turn her away just cause shes not pretty and to me nobodys ugly you just have to notice the pretty things abot people like their eyes or something like that

  • @planondeath because some girls want the "alpha-male". don't worry, not all girls are like that. i'm a girl and i would NEVER put up with that crap from my man. it gets better after high school. there's also the possibility that you're being a little too nice. nice a good but too much of it will make them take you for granted.

  • who could possibly disagree with her?

  • Comment removed

  • I love this movie. Damien's my favorite character.

  • fuck all that! BE YOURSELF! it makes things much easier and ppl will love you for it

  • most of the cool girls who wer at my school are either single mums or junkies now apart from me lol

  • She's right on. The sad thing is that it doesn't really end after adolescence sometimes. I've experienced this well into adulthood with certain "friends." It's easier to cut toxic friends out of your life once you don't have to see them in school every day! This is why I've always preferred male friends. Women are a pain in the ass!

  • wow, she really knows what she's talking about.

  • this woman is on point with literally everything in the girl world.

  • True. Never noticed the "hierarchy" until now. My group of friends is so... Urg. Friend A tells me how bitchy friend B is, and then next day Friend B complains about Friend C. I'm usually the girl in the middle... but even then, I do tend to wonder if they talk about me behind my back. They've done it with each other... What's stopping them from doing it to me?

  • @inoCHAN28 Nothing. If they are talking trash on their other "friends" chances are they are doing it about you as well. Its a sick world. It is why I really HATE my own gender-except the few bad ass women who make you proud.

  • I swear I wish my school would all just chill a bit cuz right now it's kinda like full of plastic bitches who are really mean :'(

  • A fun place to VENT about being attacked by a mean person is the BRMeanonTube Channel.

  • Did they seriously think this movie was serious? lol

  • .. um the movie was based on this book.. ?@Mercury515

  • all of this would be so much easier IF THEY ALL STAYED IN DA KITCHEN MAKIN SANDWICHES FOR THEIR MEN IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! ha jk....but honestly, its sandwich time.

  • EXCELLENT!

    THANK YOU FOR POSTING!

  • whats funny is my friend is from Africa (she is named Hannah) and ppl call her africa

  • this is one of those classic lindsey lohan movies like freakey friday =)

  • she talks about girls like we are some kind of weird specimen

  • obviously there is something very poisonous about American culture, and girls get thrown under the bus

  • @IoSonoUomo because sociologically, we feel that males are more self-reliant and individualistic, and "tough," whereas females rely on more of a support system. Have you ever told anyone at school or in your family how you feel? If not, why? Because you'll think they'll make fun of you for being sensitive? Meanwhile, how many girls are encouraged to show their feelings? It's unfair, but it's society, unfortunately.

  • Comment removed

  • @IoSonoUomo And I never assumed you were an obese, chronic masturbating video game addict. It's just that sometimes, in order for people's own stories to be heard, they have to have empathy for others in the same predicament. And FYI, women who go through this aren't all "brats." weak-minded? perhaps. Caving in to peer pressure, absolutely. But if you don't know them personally, you can't generalize and assume.

  • @IoSonoUomo that's really interesting actually. i really wish people would come out with a male perspective on things. not that i think it's "bullshit" but i dont think male issues get covered nearly enough.

  • @Minamator yeah, i'd like to see a movie somewhat like this, but from a guy's perspective. it'd be nice for us girls :)

  • @Minamator i would like to see a male version of these issues...you're right they hardly get covered. but a male would have to step up to do something about guy issues....idk how much girls could understand what to cover

  • @globe211 Yeah I think the problem is, it's not as instinctive for guys to step out and say "this hurts my feelings". That's not allowed in our society. And if someone came out with a book about the pressures on a male during adolescence, I can foresee a lot of people rolling their eyes and mocking it, dismissing it as "pussy stuff". Which I think is an unfortunate part of our society. That's just my take. Feel free to disagree.

  • @Minamator No you are wrong. And there is a book out like that that has been compared to her book. It's called Guyland by Michael Kimmel, and no one had those reactions abut the book what so ever. It's about young male life. I don't know why everyone here seems so obsessed with the male perspective. Why did you come to this video then? This is telling of the problem girls face. As a commenter said below me they get "thrown under the bus."

  • @onlockinggeisha I'm talking about popular culture. In the intellectual culture, sure people study both sides. But you can't deny that that's the stigma in every day life. And what's wrong with wanting both sides? Why make it so personal? I liked this video very much, I just noticed a discussion about the "male perspective" and gave my opinion on it.

  • @Minamator Most things are targeted towards boys and the male perspective. Thats why we have things like this for girls. But every time we do people say "what about men!" This page is covered with people upset that people dare talk about girls. Or how they don't care about the girl perspective.I'm not taking anything personally. I'm also not attacking you personally. I don't know why you see it that way. There is lots of male stuff out there if people looked up what they wanted to look up.

  • @IoSonoUomo My question is why do you feel like you are entitled to have sex with women or for attractive women to treat you well just because you're a nice guy with nice things and muscles? Try actually getting to know women who aren't superficial bitches and maybe you'll have a better time at getting what you want. And usually that starts with respect.

  • @IoSonoUomo Just because you haven't met any, doesn't mean they don't exist. You're still young, trust me, eventually you'll find someone who doesn't play games with you. Just don't let them pass you by, alright?

  • This is great.

  • THAT is why I don't gossip...

  • im going to admit, i do judge but i also change my perspective towards people after i actually know them. who doesnt judge?

idk. in my school, we dont have a popular girl and/or guy. surprisingly, you see cheerleaders dating the school nerd. or the jock hanging out in the chemlab. its a new geneeration,

  • i've actually analyze people 'cause i know how certain people act-

but thats only when their in school..i find it amusing to see someone

who knows their under peer pressure, but they would do anything to BE

    well-known.

  • those things sound really cool when you hear people say them but in reality it's really not so easy to be done you know

  • this movie would have been great had fey not written lindsay's character as afrikhaner. fey is funny, but a fucked-up sell out when it comes to race politics. she tows the corporate line.

  • This is like so true :o, which is horrible :( girl world sucks ass! so be true to yourself all the effing way! ;D

  • "Why do girls pretend they're fat...when they know they are" lol

  • @JohnDoe654 that is totally taken out of context. But I caught it too.

  • This information also applies to college (social not academic or service) sororities too. Actually, bullying and mind games occur even in world of work and offices, etc. It is basic human/animal nature for some to be the queen bee/alpha male/alpha female and it is hard for such people to give up that tendency. So the cycle continues! But I appreciate the author for pointing out the craziness, even if it changes only one person to rethink their behavior, it's worth it.

  • WOW! this girl really knows what she's talking about

  • I got bored this summer and read the book. She analyzes stuff really good. I started to notice things like that in my school that I never did before. it's strange... @_@

  • hahahahha iloveit:)

  • girls do have talent ,we don't fight like monkey .we just get even so u better watch it.

  • I'm sorry to say this, but you really need help. If you feel that you need to hide behind your little computer writing all of these pointless comments, that means that you have no social life.

  • I'm all about the social life - on my way to Stanford next year. I find all this girl stuff really amusing.

  • Where I work, one of the top executives bought an Audi. The next Monday, there were 25 brand new Audi's in the parking lot!

  • I love this woman- she described the horrible things that happen to girls in high school perfectly- and how to make them better

  • she has heart and that was a really good video! i mean so many people do this crap just thinking they will atention.... okay well mabey the atteion part cuz i want attiention to so like i mean the gossip part!!! idk what i am saying lol byee!

  • this is a pretty good vid

  • Do you know if the book is in Sweden?

Sry,my english is very bad but I love Mean Girls and wanted to read the book...

  • Your English is really good, actually.

  • @denialofinsanity hahaha

  • google it

I'd say yes, since best selling books usually are sold all over the world.

  • Thanks :)

  • @theark3 read it in english, and improve you english skills! :)

  • @theark3 yeah your english is better than some people who live in america. :)
