  • Appart from in the last clip, no one in this advert can sing in tune! Seriously!

  • For our honeymoon we went to Australia in April for 3 weeks! It was my first time ANYWHERE outside of the US (we live in Philadelphia )and let me tell you, (I, we) had the best experience! My husband is Australian and his family lives in Brisbane. He had not been back there for 7 years so this was a real treat! The people were so perky and sincere! They are such a friendly, loving people who would give you the shirt off their backs in the pouring rain even if they didn't know you. PERFECTION!!

  • I love this commercial!

  • Is the song they're singing original?

  • Wow, this is by far the best commercial I've seen in 2011. It definitely makes me want to visit Australia. It's a shame that Australia is a hand-holding, bubble-wrapping, oppressive Nanny State. I'll be happy to visit when you guys vote out the nannies.

  • I love that they have the coxless quad! Best part they don't show on the commercials you see on TV! <3

  • too bad it's going to be underwater soon :|

  • @SupersonicGinNdTonic can I ask you how? Ive been really considering the possibility of it, but with no skill of any type(I work at target), I have no idea how i'd survive....

  • @ryder7984 The company i work for are opening offices in Darwin, North Territory. They needed 35-40 of us to go and help set up the office and train Australians to do the job. We are there for 6 months and we all want to make the most of it :D we are really lucky though and as long as we didn't have a criminal record and were aged under 30 we could go!

  • @SupersonicGinNdTonic

that's odd, i thought a criminal record would been very much a necessity ;)

  • Really? This is the best that the advertising agency could come up with?

A tune that sounds like it came from Mary Poppins with bad lyrics and stock photography!

Cudos to the people who jumped over the gap to stand on Hanging Rock at 0.59. I've done that, that tree is a bit wobbily, wouldn't trust it in a breeze.

  • THATS NOT A BEAR.....lolzzz.........no one in England can take this seriously.

  • studied down under for 2 years and there's really nothing like Australia!!! Australia is amazing and people there as well!!!

  • Comment removed

  • what does that woman holding the platypus say???

  • @CherryTree318 "Or this duck billed mammal."

  • i saw the ad on the TV before and i had to seatch it i looove it

  • One day; when I can be teleported instead of flown there.

  • Love Australia greetings from Brazil

  • Camels are native to Australia--

  • @Manidahoan Nah, they were introduced by afghan people and used to work in the deserts

  • "thats not a bear" lol!!!

  • there is nothing like having your currency worth more than a US dollar....

  • @kappelmeister123 so true

  • @kappelmeister123 Too bad its spending power is three times weaker. Aww, poor America-bashing failure.

  • Darn you Australia Tourism Board! You make me want to drop everything and go to your beautiful and friendly country. That is so....great. Give me 2 years and I'll be there.

  • WTH does a camel have to do with Australia? :S this ad got a bad mark by critics...

  • @Notster07 cos they're like everywhere in the desert

  • @Notster07 nothing. it's simply showing an attraction of one of the most beautiful beaches in the country

  • Theres nothing like Australia... Theres nothing like Australia!

  • love this clip

  • It's a koala bear, that's why she say there's nothing 'like this bear' out of australia.

  • "Like this bear", "That's not a bear.."

  • Great images ~ shame about the signing....

  • sums up why i wanna live there!!

  • lovely video, i'm in australia and i haven't left my apartment all day.

  • I don't understand why everybody is bashing on the clip. I've never been to Australia but this clip really brings out all the positive feelings you think of when hearing the name of your country.

I love it and wish I could be there now...immediately! just wondering what the camels are doing down there..!?

  • yeah except that New Zealand is better.

  • Makes me homesick

    TA-DA-DA-DA-DA-DA-A

  • Wish someone would post the lyrics. :]

  • The discovery channel's "The world is just awesome" ads are better.

  • how embarising :/

  • @thedarkone1081

i think they show it in australia, because people want to know how tourism australia is portraying australians.

  • I saw this in the movie theatre and it made me wana go to Australia. Dudee it seems like so cool there.

    (Im from California:P)

  • and if they're driving on right side of the road, pretty poor (foreign) car choice for an Australian ad lol

  • @perryxoxo1- you can tell at 1:01 that they're driving on the wrong side of the road because in the ad, the steering wheel is on the left and here in Australia its supposed to be on the right!

  • hahahhah fuck they promote our own country to us wayy too much. AUSTRALIA NOBODY GIVES A FUCK!

  • um it said on the seven pm project its for tourist in other countries !! im from australia , i like it :)!

  • anyone else find the bloke at 0.44 hilarious? its a rock!

  • hahaha this is so corny, but i'm visiting this country right now (i live in the US) and I'll have to admit, there is nothing like australia. well the US is similar but not quite the same ;)

  • @lenalena111 considoring they are both countries of the new worlds that are post british colonies with bizzare native cultures with crazy, savage and beautiful landscapes.

  • I live in Australia. Trust me, Australia does not consist of 7,999,997 whites, 1 asian and 2 aborigines. Seriously. W. T. F. Ridiculous!

  • I like it

  • that is not a bloody bear!

  • theres nothin like this bear Thats not a bear

  • @TheBvdhsghbuea uhh the koala IS a type of bear.

  • @gagaboosh86 No it's not. The koala is a marsupial. The bear is a mammal. They are entirley different, however the koala is often misappropriated as being a bear.

  • @gagaboosh86 No it's a common mistake the Koalas are in fact nothing to do with bears it's closest relation is a Wombat close links as both of them sleep throughout most of the day

  • @TheBvdhsghbuea it's a drop bear, commonly mistaken for the koala.

  • poor blade work mercs

  • Two places id love to live Japan And Australia =D

  • I don't know why everyone hates this ad, i'm australian and i think it's awesome and a catchy little tune, i happily sang along when they showed it in the previews at the cinema, makes me a proud aussie!

  • @SnickersNoo44 i know wat u mean! Aussie Aussie Aussie! Oi Oi Oi!

  • i'm australian and this ad is a piece of SHIT.

  • @ringer100982 do it! its well worth it- i live here. very goood

  • You beauty!

  • wow what planet are these ad executives from, planet expo 88 i think they need to be informed its actually 2010. its absurd. if this is the best promo australia can come up with im moving to new zealand, how much do we pay these retards.

  • In INDIA they are singing "There's nothing like Australia"

Get ready they are coming down!

  • LOVE this ad. makes me homesick for Australia. BRILLIANT ad. LOVELY ad.

  • haha, i loove this ad!! i know it makes us look like complete tone deaf bogans!! but thats what all aussies are!! TONE DEAF BOGANS! and we are proud of wat we are! :)

  • Thats not a bear.. theres nothing like the furry things that bounce around in me undies! oh wait thats my nutsack!

  • Umm.. it's a tourism ad promoting australia. So I'd assume its audience is aimed at everybody outside of Australia. That would make good sense, yeah?

  • beuty

  • this ad is like discovery channel, but love this as well

  • HAHAHA doesnt anyone notice that the girls at 1:01 are driving on the wrong side of the road?? i thought this was supposed to be an AUSTRALIAN ad??! lol

  • @cinty2792 how can u tell??

  • Cringe

  • It's good! Typically Aussie! I dont know why the others who've made comments are so negative.

We aren't Yanks(loud and brash) we aren't poms( conservative and boring) & we certainly aren't Europeans!

We are Australians! Unique in the world.. and thats what this commercial portrays.. Typically Aussie! Well done... It'll work.. trust me

  • It'll work.. Well done

  • Shuldnt we be moving away from looking lyk the douche bags of the world?

  • nothing new there.. crap song..

  • The cost of travelling anywhere in Australia is ridiculous. This is an ad which appears to remind Aussies of how cool our country is. We will never travel within it though when we are paying massive prices for everything. For example, a citizen in Perth can fly to Bali or Phuket for a week at a cheaper cost than the same amount of time, a few hours south to, say Bunbury or Margret river. Forget even looking at interstate travel.

  • hmm what I want to know who's the targeted audience? asian-pacific region? america? europe? or just for people in Australia? because the ad should be made to appeal to certain people... but who? anyone know or have any ideas?

  • @lozza31292 i reckon.... i saw this ad in a cinema. IN AUSTRALIA. ts aweome..... but surel people in Aus dont need to be told 'teres nothing loke aus'. they already know....u from Aus?

  • @thedarkone1081 yeah that's what i thought... yeah i'm from brisbane but i havent seen this ad in the cinemas yet

  • @lozza31292 woo BRISBANE! WOO!!!

  • @thedarkone1081 I saw it there too & pretty much agreed - great, but mis-aimed?

  • @lozza31292 Maybe To The Whole World Its An Tourism Ad.

  • @lozza31292 i think for any tourists

  • @lozza31292 The UK

  • @lozza31292 It's been on in the US like crazy...here on youtube...bing video...everywhere i think they're pretty much telling everyone heh.

  • @lozza31292 as an American, I love this commercial, and even though I'm not really in the market for a vacation right now, if I was looking to go somewhere, this commercial made me go from not even considering Australia to like...making me really want to go there.

  • @lozza31292 I have seen it on TV in england (london)...

  • @lozza31292 i have seen it on TV in england (london)

  • @lozza31292 i think its based for europe because in england we get about 2 hot days in the summer and they have played that advert a lot on television and at the cinemas and i want to go to australia really badly :)

  • Comment removed

  • hmmz . not comment, the visual is good, but the song really spoils the beauty.

  • Who was the creative genius that got paid to produce this crap. Clearly he or she has never sold Austrailan tourism to overseas buyers. Another waste of money that is added to what has been p...ed up against the wall previously. Will do nothing to restore our inbound numbers.

  • I agree with the Gruen Transfer show...we should not make our own ads! This is better than the last one and as it's showing a left hand drive at 1:00 I reckon it's probably been made overseas.

  • a little bit cheesy but very cute :) its deffintely a feel good add

  • I noticed that everything is based around Sydney lol, well most of it xD. What about perth ? Where cool as well...I think........

  • @4bitMan yes we deffinatley are cool but i think that is the beauty of Perth no one knows we are here !!!!!!!

  • @4bitMan I think you mean "we're" - and yes - I love perth

  • Go and do a search for Discovery Channel commerical.........interesting

  • and OMG - my friend was right @0:59 she is driving a left hand dive vehicle!!!!

  • Not bad but a pity about the mistakes - a 'herd' of kangaroos and koalas are not bears.
