I am very happy to see the vidoe Two groups try to build a stable hovering platform, using Piezo electric gyros for stability control after you give this
Good, I like that you share this video Two groups try to build a stable hovering platform, using Piezo electric gyros for stability control., I wish success always
Nice Video Two groups try to build a stable hovering platform, using Piezo electric gyros for stability control That You Share , So Very Nice Thanks You
1. Balancing of foundation parts is the most important work that one should perform first. Here, the balancing lacked to much greater extent.
2. Maybe, the blades lacked lew more mm's. Bit, larger blades might work well. Even a small amount of misplaced weight can fail the lift up. Which, is again seen, in that wire bundle, which is adding weight on one side of board.
on the frist one you should have made the dowels bent a little so the propellers could be angled away and give a wider area of thrust that the base of the object to stabilize it. think of that like water if you have plate and you pour the water in it it can go everywhere if it is in a bowl it can only stay in one place
you need lower kv motors & lower pitch slow fly props (eg. 10x4.7) you also need some kind of asynchronous mixer for attitude/motor control or one of a number of cheap self build stand alone controllers. if you do a search on kk tricopter.mp4 you'll see a tricopter I built last year.
if you need more info pm me & I'll point you in the right direction for info on self build multirotor design.
First off all they are not stable at all you should add another motor witch will spin gyroscope in the centre and keep batteries around gyroscope and all electronic components under gyroscope and four or three rotating blades for sake of weight keep on the edge like you did and of course making them a little bigger and heavier to gain more power for lift off is always a option so good luck :)
You are creating a massive clockwise-rotating vortex. Even if you could get it stabilized it would spin incredibly fast in the clockwise direction. The lack of aerodynamic shaping of the four "arms" is causing massive back pressure off the flat surface. Make the four arms into more of a fin like shape. You have heard of Bernoulli, correct? You need better aerodynamic design before the gyros will be of any use.
The piezoelectric gyros seem to be doing nothing other than adding to the mass.
What about counter rotation of the 1st and 3rd (or 2nd and 4th) motors along with a suitably pitched set of propellers for them? But, only after you lighten that dinosaur frame.
how is that even close to a good effort ? its far from being stable it lacks power and it has stability issues it has a frame that is anything BUT aerodynamic and the wiring is a complete mess,,, instead of asking me to make one i suggest you look for quadrocopters on youtube then you might know why my comment was the way it was,,,,,,,,,,,take care and good luck
@t0p0l1eve4 Why don't you offer some advice of your own there Neil Armstrong? It may not be a good effort in the eyes of many (mine included), but your lack of constructive criticism isn't a good effort either. They already know that the first tests were far less than spectacular.
They merely state that they are trying to build a stable hovering platform. Nowhere did they say that their first results were "good". It's plenty heavy enough without your empty criticism hanging on it.
hay que ponerle a un giroscopio........

hobby king makes a nice board,24 bucks that and making a lighter frames should get you flying, later you can add GPS and other sensors and or camera.
