Where do they record these? I live in Lawrence Ks, and that sign right behind them that says Love Garden and has a squid on it is an ad for our local record store... It's freaking me out. Also TMBG rocks.
In the words of one of your own songs: WHY DID YOU GROW A BEARD?! (It's very nice, though. And that's the greatest live version of "Fingertips" I've ever heard!)
I understand that Linnell's blind as a bat, but he really ought to leave the horn-rimmed glasses to Mark Mothersbaugh. He really looks like a creeper here.

I love the NPR TDC but these are the guys responsible for the "Malcolm in the middle" opening theme and for that I will hate this band with the fiery passion of a thousand suns until the day that I die!
I always worried about Linnell really having a heart attack while singing that live, and whether They had some kind of secret sign or code. Could get dicey.
holy shit, is that Buddy Holly?

Of all the songs they chose to play, I was so happy they played the string of songs from Apollo 18.
I want to ask why they would do it, but at the same time, I love this recording of those songs too much to question.

Their music delights me, their appearance frightens me, and why either of these things are so, i do not know. ...... jk, love finding something new.

@tubeboob San Francisco? The only time I've seen them, in January 2001, was at the SF Fillmore. Some band named OKGO opened.

First time to see a sorta acoustic version of fingertips-- loved it! --especially the love talk by Flans in I'm having a heart attack.

They've gotten so old... Which means that I've gotten old, lol :(
I'm glad to see them still rocking in their 50s.

@Klerkur I feel such a strong reaction deserves an explanation. What, pray tell, brings on this reprehension of the Malcolm in the Middle theme?
