Im a Buddhist and I can tell you that there are many parallells between Gnostic, Lucifer , and Buddhism. I find that this knowledge is more refined in Buddhism from whence the Gnostic gathered some of it. Masonry also draws from this source. I could not convince myself to just BELIEVE what I don't know so I went to a practice to discover,or uncover this and I am SOOOO glad I did.

@snackbox1989 We are made in image and likeness of God, not polythiesm, nor panthiesm, these books weren't taken out of the Bible, they were never in it. The first Christians were Gnostic but it sure has made it's way in now.

@clarkbailey1973 If you study this you'll find the 'bible' is a composite document including actual history along with metaphor. The most important teachings of Christ for connecting to God or 'source' were removed and re-enforced with stupid aphorisms like "I think therefore I am"; the opposite is the case.

"I think therefore I amn't" would be much more accurate.

UnoRaza From my understanding Gnostics are not supposed to preach their message as gnosis is supposed to be found on an individuals on merrits...if this is the case, why all the concern? surely those that are worthy will find gnosis? OR Do you and others preaching gnosticism have more sinister alterior motives, like the damnation of souls?

I've led a very clean life resisting corruption and while writing a poem to my first born,[ and after having BOTH children threatened/attacked in what was an open and shut "psyop"], Gnosis, visions, foreknowledge, and deep, DEEP love "struck".

It was the most incredible exp and trust me I KNOW where I'm going whenever my time arrives....

UnoRaza is correct to say that Gnostics teach from the Books of Christ. However, Paul taught quite strictly against the Gnostics. He even said that these men started in truth and then later corrupted truth through counterfeit "illumination" and belief in "false truth." Paul said the Gnostics have power in counterfeit "magic." Paul was persecuted for speaking out against Gnostic ritual, symbolism and teachings. Jesus came and died to free you of these people and their rule.

Actually I believe it would make perfect sense that the ones who deviated from the Truth were not Christians but Jews. The reason being is that by what he describes as Egyptian rites in Gnosticism actually come from Jewish beliefs, "Refusal from blood, Cannot leave the dead unburied, resurrection of the undead and coming judgement" are actually fundamental Jewish beliefs before being corrupted. This makes sense considering that the Jews dwelt among the Egyptians by the Bible's word.

@mdietrichw Unfortunately, with the "Christians" burning most of our history, the passage of time and control of history being in Church hands, we have no way of knowing.

The only thing we know for sure are the gospels were bastardized, *and* these changes were integrated into MOST mainstream "Christianity", TWICE in the last 100 years alone.

A lot different than believing. I've read some of those Nicene correspondence going around;one said, "How can we say the Christ only taught for three years?" The text itself seemed to have been changed.

I wish I'd taken notes or bookmarked it, but my take was the controversy was evenly divided except one had more arms and men to enforce their desires; nothing has really changed since 400bc in MOST areas.

There are no "Gnostic teachings" such that it could be defined as a discrete 'religion' or path; the Freemasons are gnostics as are the Christian gnostics, but they're at opposite ends of the spectrum, with a few properties in common. They 2 recognize 'gnosis'; denying it is like denying gravity.

Why is this this potentiality, this FACT of nature &YOUR very spirituality, absent from 99.9% of "Christianity"?
