hi everyone, can someone please tell me whether or not the 5t can be converted into a 5b. I know you can convert the 5b but i am unsure whether 5t can be converted.
Not to hard to make the pull start be reachable in any scale... for my jato.. just cut out a window and you can reach the pull start easy.. i can fuel, tune and start my car with the body on. just a matter of boring holes out in the right spaces.
are you able to stop it while driving as in pulling the trigger forward to stop it , or does it just stop by its self , basicly letting inertia stopping it [ like how heavy it is , does that stop it ] can you stop it while driving as is going 30mph and then the back wheels just stop moving when you want to stop it. is there any type of feature like that.

It's a pretty simple fact that HPI is a better quality brand than Traxxas. Sorry Traxxas fan boys but it a simple fact. This comes from experience, HPI is the daddy of the RC world. If your choosing between a Traxxas and an HPI... Trust me it's HPI all the way. QUALITY. Traxxas is a good brand but doesn't compare to HPI.
@noon1411 hpi doesn't make the e revo do they? Its not everyday i get to use the e revos unique 6+ inches are articulation but it does sometimes come in handy. And the only structural part i have ever broken in a year is one turnbuckle rod end. its the best jack of all trades i know of in rcing. my traxxas 2wd slash never stayed on all 4's ever . if i were to buy an rc right now it would be a savage flux. Big ass 1/8th 4wd bl monster for under 500. no contest with a erbe being 50 million$

@forgottenbattles1 No and I am quite glad that they don't weigh 30 pounds and yes it does have a big motor (for its size). Its running a OFNA Force 3.2 big block. over 3 h.p. at 38,000 rpm. The 5T has what 2 maybe 2.5 hp with a slower turning engine and about twice the weight? Racing isn't about how big or heavy your rc is, its about shaving off as much weight as possible while maintaining enough stability and raw power to make sure you cross the line first.
Almost all nitro engine hp figures are forged. a good petrol engine say a 30.5cc standard cy engine with a rear dom or similar pipe develops over 8hp with no enternal moddification. with over a 3ft/lb of torque.

@haydenjay3 if your just getting into radio control, the best bet is to go with electric hands down. That way you will be able to enjoy it without the hassel of constant maintance and worn parts, thats not to say you won't be required to do some routine maintance on your electric vehicle (you will, but not on the same scale as nitro), but the idea is that you will be able to not only enjoy it, but also be able to learn to maintain it along with learning its components and parts.
@TheGreekJim i will explain i have had 2 stampeds 1 rustler 1 Tmax and 1 Emax to summerize this because im limited on characters i spent about 8k in just parts to keep them running for about 6 years i owned a traxxas RC. now i have had my savage for about 4 years and have spent 100 maybe 150 to keep it running i havent been able to break my E firestorm or the nitro firestorm yet and HPI handle better. my losi mini DT was bought right when they where relesed and only broke a gear in the servo
@Adamoss1313 really!? i think its very expensive (high) quality... it was so close that i bought a hpi brama 10b, but bsd was much more for the same price. for instance, the bsd could drive 20 km/h faster, and it came with 2.4 ghz. so the bsd is better (i think). but im still a fan of hpi :)
i have talked with hpi and they are really thinking about making the 5t 4x4, i didnt ask about any transmission upgrades but they said when hpi knows about if 4x4 is a go then we will know

@ballhawk210 get the 5t better jumping, and in my opinion more sturdy. the 5b when u jump it tends to nose dive but has much more acceleration and more torque.
@JoeriBE Hi thier My 5t will start on first pull when its warm when your starting cold you put the choke lever down and pull a couple times till the engine trys to fire then pull the choke up and it will start it a coupe of pulls, a tank lasts me around 40 minuites.
Personally when you have a review involving something with a engine, it is more fitting to not mess up the review/demonstration by adding music. I wanted to hear the engine of the gas burner not some random band playing.
1200 dollars is nothing. But then again if you work at burger king then i gues it is alot of money. oh yea some people do not have the room to ride a dirtbike.

yes but the frame of a bike is not plastic, nor the a-arms, the pretty parts are plastic as well as some electronics, I own both Rc's and bike, Rc's are a money pit, plastic eveything, have to upgrade to aluminum, new pipe, new this and that, buy for 500 bucks, after full upgrade so that its reliable, its worth around 1300 roughly, since i've owned my KTM, i bought 40 bucks worth of brakes, bought my 2000 KTM 300mxc for 2k, a year ago, so yeah like i said money pit

Sorry Skywarp, quality weedwackers run around $500 and riding mowers in the over 3,000(i grew up on 30 acres). That is a top of the line RTR gas car, if you understand what kind of technology is involved in making it do what you just saw you would get it.
Hey I think your forgetting alot of things. there is much more than an engine plastic and radio gear. there is the clutch, the diff, tires, body. there is a lot more to this so dont act like you know
Like PBboya3 said if you think about what's needed to make the rtr 5t it makes sense. You have your radio, servos and receiver. Those would cost a minimum of $200 at HS. Then you have the engine which sells for I believe $470. If you think about all the parts and how tough (and HUGE) they are compared to other rc's it makes sense. But yes, im sure we ALL agree that 200 for a clear body is ridicolous.

1200 dollars is nothing. But then again if you work at burger king then i gues it is alot of money. oh yea some people do not have the room to ride a dirtbike.

lol' if you gotta have a baja 5t check the king-motors version after a little research . found out hpi doesn't even own an exclusive patent on this design.both hpi & king motors versions are made in the same factory in china & all parts & hop ups are the same . hpi=$1300 king motors=$600

When you buy a baja your buying the quality, you could always get a clone for a lot less, much like your $1200 125cc dirtbike.
And no, I have not spent $1200 on an rc car, I do own a baja though and I spent $750 one it. Bought it used on kijiji.
And one person's view on wasting money is way different than someone else's, you may think $1200 on a toy is to much, but the next guy might think its great money spent because he enjoys it so much.

That is a quality bike suzuki,yamaha,ktm,suzuki,kawasaki not a clone $750 for a used one you still got fucked! im sure its a little nice than a nitro truck but all that shit is,is metal and plastic something that dosent even cost hpi a hundred bucks to build!

I seriously doubt you could buy a bike for $1200, well im sure you could but it be a late 90's model... And I just fail to see how I got fucked saving $400 on a car I happen to enjoy a lot. And of course they don't cost a lot to make dipshit! Everything's like that weather its a car or a camera. What do you think bikes are made of buddy, METAL AND PLASTIC.

yes but the frame of a bike is not plastic, nor the a-arms, the pretty parts are plastic as well as some electronics, I own both Rc's and bike, Rc's are a money pit, plastic eveything, have to upgrade to aluminum, new pipe, new this and that, buy for 500 bucks, after full upgrade so that its reliable, its worth around 1300 roughly, since i've owned my KTM, i bought 40 bucks worth of brakes, bought my 2000 KTM 300mxc for 2k, a year ago, so yeah like i said money pit

thats not true, on a bike you buy a 500$ engine and then the rest is just shit, on this you buy a 500$ engine, BUT you have all the electronics that coust over 200$ and then you have the chassis and all that shit

Sorry Skywarp, quality weedwackers run around $500 and riding mowers in the over 3,000(i grew up on 30 acres). That is a top of the line RTR gas car, if you understand what kind of technology is involved in making it do what you just saw you would get it.

Hey I think your forgetting alot of things. there is much more than an engine plastic and radio gear. there is the clutch, the diff, tires, body. there is a lot more to this so dont act like you know

Like PBboya3 said if you think about what's needed to make the rtr 5t it makes sense. You have your radio, servos and receiver. Those would cost a minimum of $200 at HS. Then you have the engine which sells for I believe $470. If you think about all the parts and how tough (and HUGE) they are compared to other rc's it makes sense. But yes, im sure we ALL agree that 200 for a clear body is ridicolous.
