Clannad is one of the best anime I've ever seen to not have any super power people, horror, and anything that defies the laws of physics. It actually exploits a world full of happiness and pain through the eyes of a growing teenager and to add in the mix it's in a well balance with romance and drama having nothing overpowering the other So there isn't much of a cliche being use that we will mostly see in other shows today. A beautiful show in my response.

@NekoLov3r13 WRO---OONG! You know the whole story with the Illusionary world and the girl with the robot? And, uhh, Fuuko. Well, towards the end, everything is cleared up. This anime actually has supernatural elements to it. The reason for it is because it's originally made to fit a visual novel, in which you collected 8 light orbs to save Nagisa and Ushio. The light orbs represented each good deed Tomoya had done for others, and by doing so he got his one and only wish granted.

This anime... This scene I cried and had a lingering sadness for awhile. I was also unable to watch anymore for awhile because I was too sad and I couldn't stand to see Tomoya go through it. But thanks to this anime I think I've finally decided on what I want to be in life... A doctor. I want to protect people's happiness... I want to stop the suffering of losing a loved one. It was to me a way of trying to make something happy out of something truly sad. As much as I want to believe in that it was all a dream, I believe it was more of what he wished could of happened after he passed out in the snow.

@able2smile this isn't the end, and here is a spoiler, it does get even sadder (since the baby dies at the age of 5), but MAJOR SPOILER she also lives in a closed worldand then comes into that world later in the anime to save her, and she comes back to life :), search for Dango dai kazoku - "Nagisa and Tomoya duet" if you want to see how happy this anime ends (it also makes you want to cry its so happy), I recommend watching clanned though, (not clanned after story) it's really funny and moving.
