GREAT song, tracing the changing concerns of a mother to the changing tones of the gray coat and wondering at the soldier's fate. Dailey & Vincent OR IIIrd Tyme Out with the incredible Wayne Benson's mandolin and the lead voice of Russell Moore should pick this up.

I cant get this song out of my head. I've played it several times now. Very moving. What an awful & brutal war. 600,000 men killed.

What a great song! I haven't heard as good a Civil War song since Blue Highway's "He Walked All the Way Home." By the way, who is Unplugged Demo? Nice job. I'd like to hear a group like Dailey & Vincent do this.
