  • looks like a modified f-14D variant

  • I don't see the goal of this video, it isn't the real reactors!

  • If you want a thought upon the editing - I think the sound effect cuts in slightly too early. You'd have to be flying about four foot away from the back end for there to be no time lag at all on that! Mild camera shaking would be the least of your worries.

  • nice effects.....but i hate the old F-14Bs.....the D model's way better.

  • @6V92TA either way they both suck.

  • @TomcatSucks4ever2 Here we go with a flamer.....

  • this is not F-14B it+s F-14A, Yes D model is better , but for me F-14A has better look :D

  • how do u do that?

  • sweet, i have vegas pro 8.0, how do u get the screen shake effect?

  • hehe i love the iris f-14 one of the best jets in fsx

  • how did those after burners work? all my freeware fighter jets F/A 18, F16, F14, F-22, none of their after burners work. help.

  • shift+ f4

  • How do u set afterburner????????

  • how do u get an f14 on fsx, please someone let me in on this amazing shit!

  • how do you get the f 14 on fsx? send me the link.

  • it's payware so pay for it

  • That is just like from the one Training Mission Scene in Top Gun when there is that Real Close up of the Afterburner.

  • Greetings! -Maverick

I have a need... A NEED FOR SPEED!!! -Maverick and Goose

  • F-14A tomcat, look at the nozzles before expanding. And the two things right between the engine intakes are the pylons for the aim-54 "phoenix" long range aam. They had a range of 150 nautical miles and the aim-54 c was also capable of locking onto ships aswell as aircraft.

  • the phoenix couldn't lock on to ships.....it was specifically an air to air missile.

  • Dude, those graphics are pretty hot

howd ya get it so high?

  • He probably edited it on sony vegas, but thats just a guess.

  • same here,i cant get any of my effects to work other than runway effects

  • wen i use the tomcat, or anyother aircraft tht uses a jet, i dont see the fire coming out the back?? is there a specific setting i need to hve for the graphics?

  • you have to put the "internals" of the effects folder into the FS effects folder, same goes for gauges and stuff.

  • i got FSx lol but the 1 thing i never new was what the afterburner do. can some 1 tell me ASAP?

  • it speeds up aircraft by adding more fuel to the engine in a very inefficient manner...

afterburners suck fuel at increased rate, so basically they are only used when you need to push the engines to their limits.

  • Wrong. It doesn't add fuel to the engine. It squirts fuel into the exhaust behind the engines. Exhaust is hot enough to melt metal, so the fuel ignites instantly. Afterburners don't affect the engine. Read up on it.

  • I know that, lol, i just simplified it a bit, and yes, the location where this fuel gets squirted can still be considered a part of engine...

  • actually yeah it is a tomcat look at how the engines are set up rtard

  • Nice CG!

  • you could cook many hot dogs with that.

  • it is a tomcat, didn't u see the cockpit style when it rolled?

  • dude its the IRIS F-14A.

  • how can i use War planes in FSX is it like addon or ?

  • Can you please tell me, how afterburner works? PLEASE! I can't get it work!

    PS: REALLY GOOOOOD VIDEO!!!

  • u press i in fsx

  • put the F-14 effects in the effects folder in the main fsx or 2004 folder

  • those afterburner effects kick ass

  • who told you it had more payload and range? it actually has only half the tomcat's capability. they have done tests, flying tomcats and hornets against super hornets, and the super hornets always ran out of fuel, placed last, and carried the least of all three planes.

  • what airplane is that?

  • F-14 Tomcat, designed by Grumman (now Northrop Grumman). replaced by the F/A-18E/F Sewer Hornet, stupidest decision navy ever made

  • thanks man

  • no prob

  • More agile? Maybe. Bigger payload? No. Better range? Not a chance. Cheaper? The initial cost is about the same, but the maintenance is where the Super Hornet wins out. The Tomcat was designed as a fleet defence fighter to protect against cruise missiles and bombers. has to have a long ass range, where the Super Hornet does not.

  • FINALLY!!!!!!!!! may be a bit late replying but someone who isn't brainwashed at how "brilliant" the super hornet is when it clearly isnt! im an ex tomcat pilot and i hate people saying how great the hornet is!!

  • LOL! this was amazing with the speakers way up!
