sweeti donto believe the hype. you dont really need nothing special to get nice healthy long locs. At the salon where i work my boss always tell the clients the one true to promote hair growth for your locs is washing it and keping it moisturized and not playing with it and touching it so much. give it some time and dont focus on it so much and then a few months from now you gonna walk past a mirror...and do a double back and be like" dang! look at my hair! its mad long now."

It hasnt been a year yet so dont worry YOUR HAIR WILL GROW OUT LONG...and Biotin MSM and AMINO ACIDS done research on that a million times and I use bonners as well....all that junk is a waste of money.Like you said nothing makes your hair grow faster or speeds up your natural hair growth.

Locs will grow regardless eventually so my advice...your hair ,as with my experience,grows faster once you get bored with it and dont focus on it.

By next year around this time your locs will be long

Well one you cant worry about no ones elses hair,secondly I have very slow growing hair as well,secondly diet and everything else has nothing to do with your hair....but trust me bruh your locs start to really grow out after the one year point.

Just keep doing what you do.Get them retwisted and just moisturize your locs with water and a natural oil like peppermint jojoba olive or whatever else and trust me brotha within 2 - 3 years your locs WILL BE BACK LENGTH.

what are you putting on your scalp? this is a big factor. if you scalp is healthy, that your hair is health and grows

Your hair and body loves water.

-drink plenty of water

-oil your scalp(massage in to stimulate blood flow,which promotes hair growth)

-even run water in your hair without washing sometimes.(maybe 2x a week)

just keep at it, I'm sure you locs will be beautiful.

Patience is EXTREMELY important...it can drive you CRAZY at times though (lol); but it's worth the wait. And drinking tons of water helps too! My hair is growing like crazy! Good luck on your journey!
