  • In short If You want to live Your life one way thats Fine by me, BUT the Moment you put it in the government's hands it becomes Law! When that happens You now Are telling Me what to do with My life and My Property! My Money that I Earn Is NOT for Others To delegate! So Do what you do and let me do what I DO as long as we dont Take away eachothers Right We con do ANYTHING We Want!! Come back When you have MORE THAN Insults and Contradicting Speech!

  • @speakoffreedom I don't know if you're a troll or what. You were upset that I didn't feel your first post worth responding to, so after you applied pressure I did respond, point by point, to everything you said. Now you're speechless-- you can't muster an argument to support your cause, whatever that is. Instead you're telling me I said things I didn't-- in fact I said the opposite. I challenge you to point out a contradiction in my points below or an insult.

  • you know if you con not truly and factually answer a question than that is completely up to you, however it says more about a message when you don't answer questions instead dance around the subject at hand!

  • @speakoffreedom Okay, let's play the game:

    1) "How can people be so blind?" Not a statement or argument or even an opinion. Just a rhetorical question that leads us nowhere. The sentiment is that those who don't agree with you are ignorant, which is incorrect of course, but the question alone is meaningless.

    2) "Rights... do not come from the government and can not be stolen by anyone..." I suppose that depends how you define "rights." Do you mean life, liberty, etc? If so you may (cont.)

  • @speakoffreedom (cont) a point. But if you mean civil rights-- rights to assembly, right to organize, right to bargain-- those are rights given/taken/voted on by the government. Just ask anyone who was jailed for trying to vote in the 60s if the government took his/her rights away. That aside, the statement doesn't seem to help your argument at all. If the right to unionize "CAN NOT be stolen from us" as you say, then why do you support a governor who does just that? (cont.)

  • @DJAlanGreenspan First of all Mr. Greenspan- I do not and have never supported the Jailing of anyone for the exercise of there rights! And as for the Unions, if the Government gave this to us, then where (in the Constitution) do THEY have the Right to Take Money from people who are not apart of it? see then it is supplemented by the Government to keep it going; now how is that Right at all? If you do work for it you don't "deserve" it! To further the point let look at history (cont.)

  • Respond to this video... At Jamestown Everyone Had to work Or they died! You got what you put in and that was the message of it. You have the Right to hold what YOU earn and what You did with it was for you to decide!

  • @speakoffreedom 3) "Freedom cannot be obtained through... regulation" Give me a break. A blanket statement like that shows how little you've thought about the issue. Is my freedom to breathe helped by regulation over pollution? Yes. Is my freedom to prosper helped by courts that keep someone from ripping me off? Yes. Does regulation also help prevent someone from robbing me? Absolutely. Your "freedom" to harm me is limited by regulation, and I'm glad for it! (cont.)

  • @DJAlanGreenspan Really? you are Really going to be so foolish to make a "blanket Statement" like THAT! Have you heard a single word Ive said? Government Regulation is not the same as Protection of oneself and one's property as protected in the constitution! and It is irrelevant when it is found unconstitutional ( the meaning of which actually means to be found out side consistency with the entirety of the Constitution ) If it is it always has been and always will be Unconstitutional (cont.)

  • @DJAlanGreenspan So in other words the Free Market can prosper Without government intervention. If you truly believe that that means companies have the right to suppress the people and criminal activity if ignored than you do not have a grasp of what the Constitution truly states. These "governing Rights" which is what you seem to be fighting for, flawlessly restricts the rights of the Individuals both within and outside of these "glorious" unions!

  • @speakoffreedom 4) "Socialism is not the answer." You're in another world here, pal. I know you've been told that unions are Marxist cells ready to take over the world, but they aren't. Ask anyone in a union how much they like communists. For that matter, ask your grandma how much she likes Social Security-- you know, that awful socialist policy you must hate given your next sentence. (cont)

  • @DJAlanGreenspan ---- so·cial·ism -noun

    1.

a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.

    2.

procedure or practice in accordance with this theory.

    3.

(in Marxist theory) the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism, characterized by the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles.

  • Respond to this video...Marx·ist - adj

    2. (of an economic or political theory) analogous to or derived from the doctrines of Karl Marx

    3. of or relating to Marx, Marxism, or Marxists and their theories

so Yeah I can see how people Make that connection! As for Social Security-- The Grandmother I have left has not dipped into her yet but the system behind it if fundamentally at fault for the generations that have already started paying in and WILL NEVER SEE IT! how is that right?

  • @speakoffreedom 5) Really? We're bogged down in two wars because of a bunch of coffeeshop socialists made us do it? Our economy tanked because all those socialists on Wall Street managed to shed regulations over the last couple decades? Is that what you really believe? If it is, you can see why I didn't feel like spending time arguing with you, because if that's truly your view then I don't see how we can have a discussion.

  • @DJAlanGreenspan As for the Coffeeshop Socialists -- its not the ones in the coffeeshops i worry about it is the ones in washington that have been there for about 100 years now! Neither you nor I have see first hand what a truly Free Market Constitutional society Looks like in our lifetime thus far. It has already been proven what the Federal Reserve, The New Deal, Unionization, and the Centralization of Governing powers has gotten us. We've been there since Wilson! Come Back withsome facts!

  • How can so many people be so blind? Rights of the people DO NOT come from the government and they CAN NOT be stolen from us by ANYONE Local State Federal Nor Corporate powers! Freedom can not be obtained through control or "regulation" that is call State owned SLAVERY! Socialism Is Not The Answer! Most all of our current problems Of The World are and have been Caused by Socialist policies passed through the U.S. governing powers under the vail of "Regulation" to "protect us", but from who?

  • @speakoffreedom but thanks for playing.

  • CUTE FUCKIN PROTEST YOU ALL GOTS GOING ON HERE!! so what do you all expect to accomplish huh? think you're gonna accomplish anything with you fuzzy little fuckin protest? lol fuckin pathetic. what else do we all expect from such a pathetic country anyway. pathetic fuckin protests thats what. LOL

  • greedy ass liberal teachers

  • What many overlook is the long term impact, as the political powers that have passed this as well as similar pending legislation in other states, look to privatize many of the public service jobs. Corporate ownership of more basic services will give them the death grip the so seek.

  • Nice representation although Tod P should maybe have had a license.

  • @ lalalariss You are 100% right. There is some shady biz going on in WI and IL. Regardless of political affiliation! These "statesmen" are out to push the agendas of the invisible enemy. They hide their amendments behind other referendums that have nothing to do with the issues voted for. DECEIT! Under a Dem guv, we are hit next month with an "amnesty" retro state tax for the last 6 yrs for any online purchases. BS, it's a blackmailing intimidation tax. Who keeps 6 yr purchasing records?

  • Can someone answer me this question? How is there corporate greed involved here? I thought this was just a matter of Walker removing collective bargaining "rights".

  • @ggadguy Not sure if this is a sarcastic question or not, so I'll answer as honestly as I can: removing those rights has a lot of results, but one is the overall hobbling of unions, which are the only real financial counterweight to corporate campaign giving, and another is that without a public union, selling off public property to corporations will be much easier. A lot of the public sell-off is supposed to be no-bid sales, so you can imagine how little the public will get for it's property.

  • @DJAlanGreenspan Well, to me I don't see the connection that corporations are somehow going to benefit from this. The workers are simply given the right to not pay union dues. It's called "Right to Work" which has been enacted in other states. It really has nothing to do with corporations. Even though I despise corporations that seek subsidies and our tax dollars, it doesn't mean this is the case. At least, that's what I get from this video.

    youtube.com/watch?v=RYM2RdOTBHA

  • @ggadguy I have to disagree. "Right to Work" states average lower wages according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and lowering wages is one avenue corporations can and do pursue when it comes to their bottom line ("if you can't sell a better product, make the bad product cheaper"). To your main point about the right not to pay union dues-- it makes sense until you reflect that unions are voted into existence democratically. Workers, at some point, agreed to unionize and pay dues... (cont)

  • @ggadguy (continued) ...and that all members would abide by the same rules. Of course, any worker that disagreed had to make a choice whether to stay and get the benefits of the union, or leave their job. And that choice is available to everyone in a union now. I suppose joining a union is a bit like immigrating to a new country-- you can get all the benefits of citizenship, but you have to pay taxes and obey the laws of that land, or else choose a different country.

  • @ForrestMedia So can a non-union teacher be allowed to work for the government? They should be allowed to work for the government without being a member of the union.

  • @ggadguy Life is filled with options. No one's got a gun to anyone's head forcing them to join a union.

  • @DJAlanGreenspan That's true that nobody is forced to join a union. But if you want to be a teacher, you will be forced to join the union or you not allowed to teach, in non "right to work" states. I'm trying to research this and it seems you are forced to join a union by force, with many government jobs.

  • Truly amazing video. It was a huge day in Madison!

  • And don't you ever forget Wisconsin!

    harry in Portland

  • Awesome!

But why is it taking such extreme abuses of power and repressive policies before people stop ignoring or putting up with it and actually get off the couch and start getting involved?!

Don't kid yourselves, it's going to get much much worse before it really gets better - WI is just the start. Look at Michigan's new legislation. The GOP (and corporate power behind them) are just going to be sneakier from now on.

    Pay attention!

Use your rights, or be prepared to lose them!

  • Makes me proud to be from Wisconsin.

  • nice editing job and great song! Do the performers have a website?

  • hm... after they're recalled should they be dragged behind the tractors with "shame" painted on their forheads to jail?

  • God bless the American Worker!

  • Beautiful.

  • Wow... the republicans are so going to lose.

  • That was awesome!
