This game was basically crap with a gun, 11 hours of gameplay and I still couldn't find anything good about it. Reload and ammo is crap, graphics crap, and it is as TotalBuicuit put "war porn" they ruin its storyline which is one of the main reasons I play games.

@AhhVidz Usrs? This game has awful single player. In-fact I would say it's campaign was one of the worst I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing in an FPS. It was short, easy, full of glitches, held you by the hand the entire time, and every set-piece was Copypasta from MW2
To be honest,during the bus scene, I had to stop the game multiple times, because I burts out in tears. :S It was a "bit" horrifix, even though I'am usually aware that "dude, this is a game, why would you even think about stuff?" It was bad...
The comment about not being able to fail in other ways than the game wants remind me of Star Wars: Jedi Outcast (in a good way). Minor spoiler; you meet the final boss quite early, and you're supposed to lose to him. Well, a grenade he missed went of in his face, and he died. I think that the scripted parts are quite good. For instance the part where you have been thrown off the roof of the building because of the mortars. I think that it is very realistic they are only a resistance not many of them would be trained in combat! The game also feels like there is no freedom for the people.

You didn't mention anything about the invisible walls in this game. Everytime I tried to flank or avoid enemies in single player I ran into invisible walls in otherwise open pathways.
At 7:15, I love how they have a long chat about people dying, but if you want to explore a little bit, they keep yelling that you don't have time to do that.

@Arhnult Those are good almost-non-linear games but some of the pioneers of non linear shooters were Rainbow Six first three titles and ghost recon games. To me they were and still are some of the best games out there.

2) FPS's have to be scripted. It's what moves the game along. However, being THIS heavily scripted is a problem as it inhibits the player from becoming truely immersed as they're continually laughing/mocking the jarring transitions & hand-holding this game partakes in.
The thing is, Heavy Rain made it linear on purpose because they wanted to make a game that tells you a story and gives you SOME interaction and change within the game. In this game (I am already 2 hours in) they make it linear to make it "dramatic" and "compelling". They failed miserably.
Don't really get why TB's nitpicking on this one so much (not that i particularly enjoy this game). There's lots of shooters out there where you do things that your run-of-the-mill soldier character would realistically be highly unqualified for.
I rented this game shortly after it came out, beat it's single player in less than 5 hours of consecutive playing and it's not like I was really trying or putting forth effort(not saying I'm amazing, saying the campaign is BAD) and the campaign was bad enough that it literally made me not even WANT to try the multiplayer.
Man, that is BAD. And not just the scripted gameplay, either. "Let's fight with the TigerDirect in direct line of sight for 10 minutes then move on to fight in front of the Hooters!" Yay, patheticially blatant product placement.

That's a very narrow minded ideological argument. You can have all your farms free and private and food shortages happen and logic and history show this a priori and a posteriori. When a country has trade embargos, it cannot export its surplus and it cannot import its necessities. That's why I cannot understand why the US keeps maintaining the embargo on Cuba.

And frankly, there is no "surplus" value the north koreans have ever provided after their communist takeover - they basically offer used soviet-era weapons and some crude WW2-era nuclear technology (the later of which they have sold to Iran for some time).
I remember the scene where you fall off the tower. One of the Korean soldier threw a grenade while I am still in the cut scene and suddenly Connor and the girl stand up and then fall down again, while their gun still in the air :P pretty shitty game
EMP would fuck that drone up unless it was completely made out of fibre optic cables, had some amazing new battery technology which may never exist and a bunch of other stuff, not including magic cuircut boards which wouldnt fry. Oh and one of the Koreans yelled out run godzilla shortly after it arived and i loled. Probably the best thing about the game
Truthfully it isn't all bad. Has a good story line but dosent have cutscences every second. Graphics are beautiful and if you play on xbox than the controls are pretty good. Overall 6.5/10

I do not like the game so mch. Just the multiplayer is crap in my eyes. But then again some people like it. The single player is not great but if you are a sadistic bitch like me it is fun to see people die cruel deaths!

Personally I loved the single-player campaign, even though it was very short...

The worst thing about this is that North Korea could never do this. I mean they have severe food shortages from all the sanctions and embargos. Why not make the game Homefront invasions of the poor yellow people, or the poor black people, or the poor and very rare red skinned people. It's just pathetic. @Zamolxx Actually, they have severe food shortages because they are communists, and have done just what every communist has done throughout history: nationalize the farms, kill the farmers and then try to run the farms themselves with no clue how to do it.
In the end it all boils down to reaping what you sow.

That's a very narrow minded ideological argument. You can have all your farms free and private and food shortages happen and logic and history show this a priori and a posteriori. When a country has trade embargos, it cannot export its surplus and it cannot import its necessities. That's why I cannot understand why the US keeps maintaining the embargo on Cuba.

And frankly, there is no "surplus" value the north koreans have ever provided after their communist takeover - they basically offer used soviet-era weapons and some crude WW2-era nuclear technology (the later of which they have sold to Iran for some time).

EMP would fuck that drone up unless it was completely made out of fibre optic cables, had some amazing new battery technology which may never exist and a bunch of other stuff, not including magic cuircut boards which wouldnt fry. Oh and one of the Koreans yelled out run godzilla shortly after it arived and i loled. Probably the best thing about the game

Truthfully it isn't all bad. Has a good story line but dosent have cutscences every second. Graphics are beautiful and if you play on xbox than the controls are pretty good. Overall 6.5/10

Wouldn't this game be much better if the Koreans were skinned like they were zombies? Then it'd be a relatively serious zombie shooter and there isn't too many of them. This game just takes itself too seriously, that's the problem.
