  • I AGREE with alterman156. I am 35 and still have not gotten my surgeries done with my cleft because I cannot afford the 135,000 surgeries. I am so sick of this countries health care system. But, what can I say? Being an American is so great isn't it? After all, our wonderful doctors will go down to Honduras and do this surgery from FREE, but when it comes to helping anyone in the US, NO WAY. What a joke this place is. 700 Billion to bail out the stock market? But nothing to help with H.Care

  • No one should have to go through the first 50 years life with an unrepaired cleft palate. The man should have been able to have it repaired when he was an infant. The health care system should be set up so that such a repair is paid for when the person is an infant so that they can function like a normal person. A cleft palate repair a generally a simple and worthwhile procedure and it can make a big difference in someone's life.

  • Edwards isn't taking a dime from corporate lobbyists or PACs. He's the only one talking about the foreign lobbyists influencing our govt. for bad trade deals sending more jobs to other countries, and the tax system, which allows corporations to set up headquarters in other countries (like Halliburton in Dubai) and not pay taxes here, which puts the burden on you!

  • earthlvr, there is NOTHING that the U.S. Government can do to prevent U.S. businesses from packing up and moving to another country. It's a free world market. If a foreign country invites you and your business over, then you're welcome to go. Would it make you happier if those U.S. businesses were completely bought out by foreigners?

  • Most you average people out there, you know life sucks BAD with Bush, in comparison to how things were, let's get them out.

  • All of my family are, and were poor conservative people from the south. I am very conservative about many things. Bush and the word conservative are antonyms. Even the hard core conservatives are sick of Bush. You sound like a dead ender, you'll go down with the ship, and try to take us all with you, before you swallow some pride.

  • First of all, I just posted a nice comment towards you, on your profile. Second, I am a moderate, in the middle, reasonable, you might try it. You can live without having to be scared shitless of having a vehicle break down, keeping you from going to college classes and work. Once again, the approval rating is due to the fact, they said they were going to get the troops home, and Bush has given that no hope. You live in the land of the pampered.

  • correction, planet

  • As far as the alternative minimum tax, that applies to people who have a large amount of standard or personal exemptions, exercised incentive stock options, who take a net operating loss deduction, who have certain other types of income, or claimed certain business-related tax credits. So you act as if you are being screwed, all it is doing is tightening the loop holes you have exploited.

  • Wrong once more FatBird: I know first hand. I made over $200,000 (barely) in 2004. No excessive exemptions AT ALL. In retrospect, I shouldn't have busted my ass quite as hard...it was just given to the govt anyway.

  • What I stated is simply NOT wrong. Fact.

  • The rich can handle some disproportionate taxation. If the rich has to bare a little more of the financial burden, so be it. If they are taxed a little more they might have to cut down to 3 cars, a sad thought. 205 billion dollars is pigeon shit, compared to what Little Georgey and his congress has spent.

  • Are you scraping to put gas in your gas tanks? Many people I know are. The Dems got in, and minimum wage went up, it sure as hell would not have went up with the Hog Republicans in office.

  • Minimum wage increase which drive up the cost of virtually everything + tax increases from the dems = DISASTER

  • Yeah minimum wage drives everything up. Just like those poor mega stores getting screwed, by having to hire Americans for a decent wage, instead of hiring bus loads of Mexican workers for one cheeseburger and a flat Coke a day.

  • Big oil man gets into office, and oil goes through the roof. But the president dosn't have anything to do with that. Ol' Tricky Dick Cheney needs some more deals for Halliburton, or KBR. You can see stupidity in the eyes of Bush. 99.9% of the entire planet Earth knows he is a pathetic leader. But our little handful "dead enders" know more than the rest of the planet.

  • Wrong again fatbird. More approval for Bush than the current DEMOCRATIC Congress. Their approval rating is the lowest in 20+ years. Try again...

  • The people are digusted with Government period, due to him (Bush). The whole planet knows how pathetic him and his greedy animals are. Their ratings are low because they said they would bring the soldiers home, well they found out little George has made that a hell of a lot more difficult than previously thought. We are between a rock and a hard place, thanks George. A real conservative, spend, spend, spend, spend, spend, who cares, it's just money.

  • Not sure if my previous comment posted. The spending is with the DEMOCRATIC Congress. $250,000,000,000 worth of earmarks that Bush has tried to stop. As far as the approval rating for Congress, it is not solely due to Bush. If that were true, Bush's approval rating would be < or = that of Congress.

  • Almost ALL of the palnet knows he, and the Republicans are pains in the ass for the world, us average people certainly included.

  • I've given you solid information...some of it first hand. The pain in the asses are the left-looney liberals. Just take a look at the Democratic Congress (like the rest of the country has). Their approval rating shows what ppl think & you idiot liberals just may have lost your 1st chance in 8 years to obtain the whitehouse. People are sick of being taxed to death...wealthy & other-wise. Let's not even begin to talk about the lack of morals possessed by the dems.

  • FDR (dem) started Social Sec (SS) & made 5 promises which have all been broken. Who took SS from a trust fund to a general fund so congress could spend it? -- Democrats. And the dems were in control of congress. Who eliminated the tax deduction for SS? -- Democrats. Who started taxing SS annuities? -- you guessed it, the Democrats w/Gore casting the deciding tie-breaker vote. Who started giving annuity pymts to immigrants who paid zero -- Jimmy Carter (dem).

  • Who gave tax breaks to the upper income pukes during a time of war, while everyone else is carrying the burden of war. W, a Republican. What do Bush 41 and Bush 42 have in common? You guessed it recessions, war and big companies. We can't ever forget the Republican poster boy, Herbert Hoover, oh, those were great times. Life is always hell for most of us normal people when the sorry Republicans get into office.

  • Once again, someone has fallen for what the dems call a "tax break" for the wealthy. NOT true. If I pay 40% in tax & you pay 20% in tax....if Bush gives BOTH of us a 5% break, my break would obviously equate to more savings in DOLLARS. Have u ever heard of AMT?? HEAVY penalty for being successful. Look at what your DEMOCRATIC Congress has done in the last year....attaching earmarks to EVERY bill...$205 Billion worth...much of govt waste.

  • Nobody on the face of the Earth could waste more than the fool in office at present, and his recent rubber stamp congress. They have continued to throw money down the bottomless pit of Iraq.

  • You are referring to the DEMOCRATIC Congress....you know, the majority? Bush is the one trying to stop all of these earmarks..

  • Yes, we need a hypocrite like Bill O'Reily for president. He was accused of sexual harassment by an intern, he denied the crap out of it, then she says, oh, Bill, I have audio tape, and then they settle out of court and live happily ever after. Bill is back, hard at it, telling us about wholesome family morals. O'Reily for president, 08.LOL

  • He's got the credential qualifications of my Bubba! maybe I'll make him vice Pres. EEEHEHEHEHEhehe cackle, cackle, hehehhahahaaa!

  • All the democrats have some sort of plan to reform the health care crisis. John Edwards is the only candidate who has a comprehensive plan that will actually FIX it.

  • Actually Michael Savage or Bill O Reilly or Hannity would make great U.S. President's. Well, O Reilly and Hannity might be too liberal. Savage would easily make the greatest president.

  • John Edwards would be a huge mistake to America if elected preisdent.

  • Is there a better candidate? At least he is not afraid to mention the poor.

  • Huckabee or guiliani would be much more essential to america.

  • Very different people they are. Huckabee once mentioned how wall street people are being helped more then the waitress around the corner. Never said he has plans to change this. Guilliani has already been forgotten. I guess you must already hate any rights to privacy you already have.

  • The most vital issue facing this country is radical Islam's goal of turning america into an islamic state. Only a republican is fit to protect America from that future.

  • JP, When you decide vote based on fear, the Islamic extremists have already won. Thanks for helping them in their fight.

  • You are dead wrong, if you don't base you're decions partly on fear then you are in danger. This is true for any dangerous situation, not just the danger of radical Islam. You need to feel fear in order to protect yourself!!! This is common sense if you are to survive any mortal threat of any variety.

  • Edwards is a master story-teller and a potentially great man BUT his campaign will hit a brick wall soon. When will Democrats learn to produce winning candidates at the national level : study machiavelli and change is possible ; keep ranting and scaring, and you are toast. Big shame........

  • John Edwards is the man

  • HOW LONG....HOW LONG WE GONNA LIVE UNDER THE DICTATORSHIP OF INSURANCE COMPANIES???

folks, if Edwards doesn't pick the nomination then DEMS are fucked big time cuz 2008 can be considered lost. It's 24 hours before the caucuses VOTE EDWARDS IF YOU WANT DEM IN WH

  • How long ... how long we gonna let ambulance-chasing lawyers drive up the cost of OUR healthcare !

  • roscoe85cj: Here's away to drive down the cost of healthcare. Don't let injured people receive treatment. That's solves the problem right? What else has faux news told you? Democracy means keeping quite despite your interests?

  • lol .. Johnny wouldn't even donate 100sf of his TWENTY-EIGHT THOUSAND (28,000) SQUARE FOOT mansion for use as a soup kitchen for liberals who finally got thrown of mom's basement .. sure, the Candidork of the "common man" LMFAO ! ! bwaaahahahaa

  • What do you people actually see in edwards.

He has "Ima Flop" written all ova his forehead. ANd this video is sooo scripted. I mean Got DAMN!!!

  • djNshen: Flopped on what? The war when he was lied to that CIA had info that Iraq was a necessary enemy? If that's all you have on him he's in great shape. Of course you could always vote Romney. You seem like a Romney supporter.

  • LOL ... what the fuck .. is this a head-trauma patient that Edwards won a Million dollar settlement for and wound up pocketing $700,000 by way of his 70% CONTINGENCY FEE ! ! ! .. how stupid must you be to think this ambulance chaser will ever do anything but RAISE the cost of our healthcare ... SOMEBODY HAS TO PAY .. and its the insurance company that Johnny sues.

  • JOhn Edwards My President 2008!

  • John Edwards is plenty tough. He became on of the most successful trial lawyers in America. You have to be very sturdy and confident to become a successful litigator and be able to go into court against big, powerful companies and win. Edwards won cases over and over again for 20 years in courts of law.

  • EDWARDS 08

  • YouTube:

    Ron Paul A New Hope

  • John Bilderberg Edwards ,CFR member voted for the war and the pariot act

  • Demtards!

  • Retardlicans!

  • If you oppose waterboarding or support completely leaving Iraq then you are the retarded person.

  • I was born in Iowa...maybe that's why, even though I have lived in California now most of my life, I am John Edwards' biggest fan. I have seen him in person twice, looked him in the eye, and shook his hand. He is the real deal. The man, the hero, the people's champion we've all been hoping for for far too long in this country.

  • Edwards - the People's Champion!

  • What do you call what we have now? I have health insurance (finally) but I know lots of people, day care workers, self employed people, restrauant workers, who don't. HC is rationed NOW. People without insurance die earlier.

  • vote edwards then biden

  • James Lowe got his voice it's time to get your; VOTE for EDWARDS

  • no, that would be no problem, he just had things like food rent and clothes to pay for. It IS the go'vts job to help those that actually need help like Mr. Lowe did. It's not like he was on welfare.

  • Deepak Chopra once spoke eloquently on how one's life can change when you move from a "What's in it for me?" to a "How can I help?" orientation, or basic question. John Edwards is the exemplar of a "How can I help?" mind and heartset.

To help the many who need help, we need to ask: How can I help John Edwards?

Please give your full-throated support to the Champion of the People, John Edwards. I have and will...

  • Mr. Lowe I have the deepest respect for you. After not being talk for 50 years and going from that to talking in front of a massive crowd, takes some serious courage. Bravo.

  • I was wondering when we would see thee James Lowe that Edwards has spoken about so much. A natural skeptic like me needs proof. I'm glad to see him.

  • and this proves that every sigle campaign slogan of john is absolute truth. PEOPLE IN IOWA PLEASE IGNORE REPUBLICAN PUNDIST ON THIS FORUM - JOHN IS OUR FUTURE, IF YOU WISH YOUR COUNTRY WELL THEN VOTE FOR JOHN. Can you imagine huckabee helping someone like Lowe?

  • I've known in my heart since the beginning of the last presidential election that John Edwards is the man for president.

"It's time to hear everyone's voice.

    John Edwards is the Choice!"

  • America belongs to the people. Thank You John Edwards! We need people like John Edwards to lead this country. I support John Edwards for president.
