Its like saying she only wants to be remembered and wants to feel loved. She wishes you could read her mind and saying all i want is a rose something symbolic to show your love for me. I dont need the nice things a rose will do. She just wants to really know that you love her. Cmon man open your eyes she loves you and she just wants you to show her that you really care about her. well i heard this song for the first time in forever... made me think. I try to give my girlfriend everything in the world. i send her money for a phone and other things. however the only thing that has really made her happy is when i sent her roses for valentines day and when i would just call her and tell her i love her. this song means so much more now that im in a relationship. i understand what she really wants and its not the stuff i buy her with money. i love her and i will be with her <3

If just one song helps someone realize that the little things in life count then that singer and composer/writer has done a great job. Life is so hard and those little things do count if you are not realizing it yet you will one day without having to ask her as she will still be in your arms that night and everynight. Too bad Kenny didn't realize this with his first wife such a shame to get it now once it's too late. Keep doing those little things to some women they are a blessing Prince.

Bull shit. When I first met my wife I did everything right. I did all the little things. EVERYDAY. I loved doing that for her. I left notes, I kissed her for no reason. I would always tell people how I thought my Wife was hot. I was faithful all 5 years of our marriage. I never hit her physically or emotionally. We have 2 children together. We had our house.
