Yeah people these are the infomericals I can remember as a little kid seeing these 3-5 times a night. Cher was the butt of jokes during this time, but you know what Cher is still amazing and hip today like never before.

Well the stuff in the stores has been going for years try BARE ESSENTIALS THAT RIPPED MY FACE OFF AND they're supposed to be NOT anything like the commercial products they have their reasons for putting whatever they do in their products to keep you skin moist, try talking to Maybelline, Revlon and Neutrogena, they would've been out of biz years ago. If you are going to go for something that is really honest and good away from store product use CONNIE STEVENS she is really good!

Her career wasn't in the toilets. She had actually just won the Oscar and as, if anything, at the peak of her celebrity. This infomercial WAS the mistake that Hollywood took so long to forgive. Cher just didn't think that doing this would be considered "below" an oscar winning actres...what was she thinking, lol.

Remember, the oscar was in 1988, the informerical, one was in 1991, and this one in 1993. At the time, for "Serious" actors to do infomercials was considered "Selling out" also, you had Cher selling haircare products, then skin care products, and the exercise tapes. It was over exposure then you have "mermaids" not doing well, and "love hurts" album not doing well, so, it hurt her career.

Yeah, what the hell was she doing with her money? I know that in the early 80's she was low on cash because her career had stalled, but by the end of the 80's, she'd done some successful movies and released the hit albums Cher and Heart of Stone. So she certainly had some good money at that point. Honestly, some of these celebs need to manage their money better.

Actualy, when she left the movie business for infomercials, she was at the top of her game. She won an oscar for Moonstruck, and widely praised for Silkwood, Suspect, and The Witches Of Eastwick. She left because she wanted to take a break.
