  • Just adding veggies and other healthy foods makes me personally eat less bad food. Chocolate you can still eat (dark chocolate), as long as it contains less sugar and other additives. Nuts is nice as snack, so is the ones you listed. Also listen to your body..if your stomach reacts with a lot of gases, or makes you ill, don't eat it. In my case that would be pasta (even though I like it a lot).. And as a last tip i'd say: don't eat so much till you can't breathe.

  • @beautyfulbutterfly13 fat is not bad for you as long as you are eating the right kinds of fat :) you should be sure what you're saying is correct before you post it. People are confused enough already and don't really know what to eat anymore. The only people who need to check their fat intake are older people with high cholesterol or heart issues. Sugary stuff is worse than what you call "fattening" but sugar from fruit is at least natural and won't make your bloodsugar spike as much.

  • My only tip is to stay away from low fat or reduced fat products. They're actually really bad for you! They pack them full of sugar so in the long run you will actually gain weight from them and they're not healthy at all. Fat is not bad for you as long as you eat the right kinds of fat! Sugar is what you need to be careful with and try to replace all refined carbs with wholegrain stuff. Like have brown rice instead of the white, choose wholegrain pasta and bread and eat more vegetables!

  • Awesome, but humus is fating, bananas are not really good to eat while on a diet cause of all the sugar they have in them and even though the Mozz Cheese is the low fat one, that cheese is also very fating.

  • Yum I love all of those things! I just had a salad with diced tomatoes, mozzarella, and pesto (basil, olive oil, and pine nuts). So light and delicious! Carbs are good for you! Just chose the right ones.

  • Some diet knowledge that i would like to share.

    1) Carbohydrate is the biggest enemy to people who are on diet, because (a) the excess, the body will convert them and store as fats, and (b) they need to be burn off before fats could in the body. And many of the food that u recommended are actually high in carbohydrates, such as banana and cheese. Not appropriate to eat between meals.

    2) Carbohydrate takes 30minutes to finish burning. Then the body will start burning the fats. So remember to sp

  • always drink a glass of water before any meal. It really makes your hunger die down :) definitely works for me ^^

  • I have no idea why I am watching these Drop20in12 videos, because I love my fries, pizza, chocolate and pancakes and have no desire to cut them out of my diet, I don't even need to lose weight because I'm naturally slim... um. Yeah. Lol... but these videos are definitely interesting, I just haven't figured out why I think so :D

  • @finnieminnie - It's not just about losing weight. It's also about your health. You are probably very unhealthy and it's going to come back and bite you in the ass when you're having health problems later in life...

  • @finnieminnie Well, you can't eat junk and expect to have no health problems. You probably are low on energy, or have skin problems, but in future you could have problems with coronary diseases, high blood pressure, diabetes and so on. A good diet is not just about being skinny, but being healthy.

  • @finnieminnie It's not so much about losing weight. It's mainly about keeping your INSIDE clean. Even if you are slim your arteries could be filling and slowly tightening. In the end this most probably will lead to some disease, from diabetes to kidney disease and heart attack. Sounds harsh, but it's the truth, and it goes for every person. So, to sum it up, it's not all about being obese or being slim, having bad skin or good skin. Maybe somewhere deep inside u understand what's right :)

  • This is what works for me: I plan my weekly meals and I buy all the food on Monday, and that's all I can eat for that week. I came up with some good recipes that are both tasty and healthy, and when I feel hungry outside my planned meals, I have some nuts, fruits and vegetables to fight it, or I just drink a glass of water. If I crave something very much, I'll eat it, but just a bit to satisfy my urge. I dropped 16 pounds in 3 months this way, with some moderate exercise.

  • My doctor told me to lose 40 pounds. Considering my BMI is about 33%, I am 18, 5'4'' and weigh 169 pounds then yes I need to be healthier because I am fully aware I do not eat nor live a healthy lifestyle. Im just a little upset and just plain out furious how my friends and family members can eat whatever they want and not gain anything! Why do I have to be big boned and they have a body structure of petite/small. Seriously it makes me want to pull my hair out....Sigh.

  • @imprezanic0le hey, i also work long hours. what helps me is this: plan each day's dinner, from the day before, as well as all your snacks. keep a few snacks in small portions stashed away in your pocket or somewhere easy to get to. then when you get home your dinner will be ready to put together much easier.

  • Great advice. A lot of people skip breakfast, but like you said, its important to eat at least 3 meals a day-- and snacks whenever needed. You gave some great ideas for snacks-- I really want to try the mozerela/basil/tomato one...looks great!

  • A boiled egg is good as well.

  • Drinking orange juice while you're hungry is a bad idea. It is quite sour and provokes your stomach to produce more gastric juice. It's bad for health. All other ideas are great!

  • @TheGsmHero - Actually nothing is wrong with being hungry. It's all about eating INTUITIVELY and listening to your body. If you're hungry, eat. If you're not hungry but you're having a craving, well obviously you're body doesn't need that food but your mind wants it. And gosh, I hate the "you're perfect just the way you are" speech. If people want to change their life and be happier, let them! Good for them if they want to be the best they can be!

  • if you want to lose weight you have to eat more than 3 times a day, to keep your metabolism active. What helps me with cravings is drinking hot tea, I love white chai and if you are craving for something sweet I highly recommend chocolate decadence from teavana.

  • @acarord actually to accelerate your metabolism it is better to eat 5-7 times a day. it is important to limit the quantity of food with every intake, not the number of times
