I don't understand how more people don't know about and love VAST, such amazing music! Everyone we play it to loves it, even people who don't normally like goth / ambient / industrial stuff. Even my eight month old girl who loves to be danced around the room to Turquoise and Crimson :)
stop downloading and start buying their cds and stuff. Yet that can be a problem in some countries. I live in Portugal my bf was going to buy me some of his cds but they removed them in some UK sight it was being sold in.
It's so funny how so many people leave comments like "I can't believe I never heard of them until now, " or something like that. They wrote a song called "I thought by Now" which is about how they thought they would be more famous by now. They have produced like 15 CDs over almost 20 years. Their earliest music was country-rock sounding.
I agree, it's a shame that they aren't as well known as they should be. They are, without a doubt, my favorite band of all time. (And have been for many, many years.) I do my best to introduce people to them at any given moment, and so far just about everyone has asked the same question.. "Why aren't they famous?"
@DitsySarah We have 6 records and a few side releases. We've been around for 11 years to this date. The earliest music was Jon on an 8 track with sequences.
The country thing didn't happen until 2006 - 2007.
@ja0401 Same, daddy o. First time I heard Jon Crosby's first album, I couldn't believe how good it was, and still is! Really looking forward to more of his work! 2011 tour! :)
someone reccomened this song to be teh credits for the movie of the book saga (if they actually make it a movie) but i dont agree, its a good song, but it doesnt really link to the book...? iuno
I like the powerfull touches of the piano, the melancholic start of the voice, then the emphasys on certain key words as the song progresses. The shift between the grief, rage, anger, doubts and questions ever present when a tragedy occurs. Touching and powerfull song.
That's definitely what caught my attention, any song that can make me fall into an emotion or change between them so drastically deserves to be favorited.
GONG LISTEN TO GONG IF YOU LIKE VAST... and here are the GOOD vast songs, (that arent love songs ;) : channel zero, dirty hole, electric womb, I want to take you there, skin cage, touched, unknown, what else do i need, blue, land of shame, lady of dreams, dead angels, i need to say goodbye, where it never rains, winter in my heart... and if you think any of these are 'love' songs.. think again - it's about friends
THIS SONG IS AMAZING, THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS IS AMAZING!!! *JACE IS AMAZING!!!* I just read city of glass, cried about 6 times, this song totaly suits the book. I love jace, i would like sell my soul to be clary or isabel in the movie if they make one.
Character from a series called Mortal Instruments, and I'm wondering how it was brought up? ahha They're great books, but that just seems kind of random..

I think we all agree with that, I love this song :) If you like this one, you should look up Pretty When You Cry by VAST (it's disturbing as hell but really good).
I get chills when I listen to this song. I only heard about it cause a girl said that it ought to be played during the credits if they ever made City of Bones into a movie and I totally agree with her.

Why does this version sound different to the CD version?

He released it first on a download only CD Turquoise and Crimson(as two seperated CDs). Then he put it on Nude, which was a bit different than the version on Turquoise(this one). But then he released them together as a double CD that you could buy in the store.
