At this time there wasn't any brand that even made an 8x8, the first one was releasd late last year. This person is many times smarter than you. This cube is extremely difficult weather in hand or computer generated. Do some homework before leaving your garbage comments.

He probably work hours to learn every equation and spent even more time applying them to this cube. I have solved most of the gabbasoft cubes including this one and they are extremely difficult. This is NO different than an 8x8 in hand. If it is so easy please make a video of YOU solving this cube. Until then take your worthless trolling somewhere else.

@MakeMeBadnd2 You really aren't getting it. If he can do it on gabbasoft he can do it just as easily in hand. He probably would have if there was a cube this big at the time of its upload. Now that I think about it the computer generation is sometimes even more difficult because you are essentially solving with one hand. You can't use finger tricks and you have to stop turns to rotate. You clearly have no understanding of the cubing world. Ask any serious cuber and they will agree with me also.

nice software. say what is that software? FYI.. for those who have an Android phone / tablet, there's a program called N-Cube... N = size of cube. goes all they way up to 10x10x10... if you know how to solve 3x3x3 and 4x4x4, you can solve the rest

@chiuchiutrain78 gabbasoft is the company that made it. i don't know if they're still around or if you can still get it. i no longer have a copy.. but i no longer use virtual cubes since i bought some v-cubes.

and actually if you know how to solve a 4x4x4, you know everything you need. cuz the algorithms required to solve the 3x3x3 are also required to solve the 4x4x4. it's just a 3x3x3 + center algorithms + edge algorithms + parity

the reason there's only 1 is because you've chosen 1 that matters. having all sides be the same color is arbitrary. we could agree that the solution was something entirely different that, to us, appears to be a random state.

we could decide that there are a million such states that are considered solutions. then there would be a million ways to solve it.

also, a permutation isn't a "way to solve something."

Just thought I'd leave a suggestion. with the Gabbasoft program, you can turn the cube by holding shift and click and dragging. so you don't have to drag a bunch. try it out! that's what I do.
