Our economy operates like someone who has maxed out all their cards, lines of credit and works overtime to pay off the bills. The problem is the overtime puts him into a higher tax bracket and he loses 40% of his overtime hours value because of taxes. It will have assisted the spread of the message that Dr. Paul expounds.

It will encourage others of honor and integrity to come forward.

It will help forment a legacy for the voice of liberty (the genie will be out of the bottle, so to speak).

He has given solutions. Your assertion that eliminating the IRS would sink this country is wrong. The IRS accounts for approx. 1/3 of the total income for the U.S. Dr. Paul has spoken about alternative sources of income such as luxury taxes and tariffs that would cover what was lost from the income tax. All told, eliminating the income tax would put more money in the hands of the poor and middle class to spend on essentials and on luxury items. This would serve to bolster an economy.

1. If he is elected, that means that the American already agreed to eliminate the IRS. It is the central plank of his entire platform.

2. Congress would certainly have to agree to certain measures, but having a President Ron Paul would mean a COMPETING official United States currency, not Federal Reserve notes, and this is to be implemented gradually.

That is absolutely NOT me ideal definition of a president.

My ideal president is one who upholds his oath to office to protect the constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic, and to devote his power to RESTRICTING his OWN power as well as shrinking the government. In that case, Ron Paul is ideal.

He must first be a great leader of men in order to get all of congress and all of the American people to go along with him.

He can be right as rain, but if he is not a leader of men then, he won't be able to promulgate his plans.

If there's a shift in the political wind, and if congress can sense it, then they'll have no choice but to look into his policies. And what do we have happening now? Ever since his ever increasing fundraising, people in congress are starting to notice him significantly more. If people agree with his policies enough to get him President, Congress can't ignore the will of the people, or they simply aren't going to represent the people's choice.
