this tune is sick, the piano lead is awesome and vocals too. It may have been released way back in 1992 but this tune is 1 of the best old skool rave tracks ever. Also the prodigy sampled the piano riff 4 there track "world's on fire" which is on the new prodigy album "invaders must die".....
3-2-1-Zero!!!!!!!.........Ah z' memories of '91/'92!!!..It was always a closer, then you're leaving 'church' asking where'e the after-party? Good Times!
I love this tune, one of my all time old skool faves ever!. Personally I have no problem with it's length, vocals or the fact it's repetative!. As I can never ever tire of these Old skool classics that just get better and better the more you hear them!. Big respect to ya for uploading this!. Peace And Respect.
the idea is the piano is the 'jump up' part of the tune and the vocals are where the dancers can chill.remember in a dj mix you will not be playing the whole mix but perhaps only 2 piano rolls.
@BassGoesBoom1: I agree, most "techno" songs were not played completely. I don't know anyone who was a decent dj and played an entire record. The repetiveness of the track is the motif of the artist and it is what it is. There is no one way to make music. When you do make all music with similar structures you end up with pop shit like you hear on the radio. Formulas that are pleasant to the sheep massive. baaaah baaaahh
@PaulyTheGimp Exactly- this is the 12" version as opposed to the edit. The first and last minute and half would be in the mix if was playing it out anyway.
yep u absolutely right, its a problem of 90% of electronic music (calling it DANCE is incorrect, more correct is digital music, under electronic i mean both dance and non danceable electronic music like ambient)
And its really bad( most of tracks have very short theme that not progressing and not changing but repeating over and over again... because most electronic musicians never learned rules of classic music and most of them just cant create main theme more then 10 second long...
but it's meant for clubs, for really pilled people. You're taking the song out of context. It's meant to be in a mix, plus in the atmosphere of club/rave. Repativeniss is needed, it gets u in a trance.
thats why i hate electronic music in same time when i like it... its too primitive... mostly... but some genius like Aphex Twin (Richard D James) pushing beyond the limits of whole electronic music scene and combining rules of classic music with new primitive rules of our days music.
Aye it may be long but that leaves it it 2 mix in !!!!
