When he woke from his next sleep he could walk and has full movement of his arm including right over his head; even I had to rub my eyes when I saw it! Whoever wrote the bible aside, it's claims are true and Jesus really is raised from the dead, healing and other miracles are just one evidence of that, but we know from history and archaeology that ancient Israel was a highly sophisticated, intelligent ppl.

@detours I remember as a former atheist saying "seeing is believing" and yet I can still say that, having seen so many miracles, faith in God is not blind you see. The Pharisees also used to criticise miracles and to Jesus face; the so called new atheism is nothing new and nothing special, it is just another group of people trying to deny God. Science attacks all extraordinary claims and until those claims can be substantiated independently there is nothing to say. If you want to fill in the gaps with your god or pan-dimentional beings, based upon signs that could give you either interpretation (and many more), then knock yourself out. That exercise is essentially meaningless.

Interestingly this year the UK legal system announced there would be less weight placed on scientific testimony in legals cases because the evidence was far too opinion based so a far greater emphasis is placed on personal testimony!

@detours last week I prayed with a stroke victim who lost use of his right arm and leg. When he woke from his next sleep he could walk and has full movement of his arm including right over his head; even I had to rub my eyes when I saw it! Whoever wrote the bible aside, it's claims are true and Jesus really is raised from the dead, healing and other miracles are just one evidence of that, but we know from history and archaeology that ancient Israel was a highly sophisticated, intelligent ppl.

@detours I remember as a former atheist saying "seeing is believing" and yet I can still say that, having seen so many miracles, faith in God is not blind you see. The Pharisees also used to criticise miracles and to Jesus face; the so called new atheism is nothing new and nothing special, it is just another group of people trying to deny God. @detours Oh, I go to the doctor when I am ill sometimes and I would always advise people to make use of the medical expertise available; they did that in the Old Testament and I went to the doctor when I was healed of asthma.
