Trust me when I say the NC was proven wrong about this movie, that is was actually a decent adaptation. Although I still hate the director of this film for ruining another favorite game of mine.

@PrinterThorn I definitely understand his dis-satisfaction of the film. A lot of it is explained in the games, and if you had that prior knowledge the movie would be a lot more satisfying experience, but film-makers aren't supposed to make you do homework to enjoy a movie of theirs. I mean look at how detailed the comic-book films of today are. I didn't read the Tales of Suspense for Iron Man origins because the film-makers did their job, that's really what didn't happen in the MK film.

That one barely follows the game, and yet people keep on saying there's a reason in the video games for why there's two Sub-Zeros. If the movie doesn't follow the games that well, then why should I believe that "this specific part from the game" is true in the movie?

This movie was okay, for it's time. You really can't hold anything against it. So for you guys who really wanna see a MK movie, play MK9 in Story Mode. It's a game and movie wrapped into one. Now, I don't have the MK movie in my movie library. Nor, do I want it. Not worthy enough. Sorry, MK fans.
As bad as STREET FIGHTER was I thought that Julia as Bison, Bryniarski as Zangief, and Miguel A Nunez Jr as Dee Jay all make it worth watching with how entertaining they are.
And MORTAL KOMBAT really isn't that bad. It's a bit cheesy, but it's a fun movie. And yes I think Linden Ashby was funny as Johnny Cage. And while I have no problem with the gore I do like MK's characters and they're for the most part done quite well. Plus it made good additions to the series, they did take some ideas.
I thought Raiden was actually a villain in Mortal Kombat until I saw this movie. I mean, his profile avatar in the arcade game looked kinda scary, like Baraka's or Scorpion's.
To be honest, even though I didn't love the movie, you can't really criticize Cage's one liners. First of all, they're one liners, so they're meant to be cheesy. Second, they're Johnny Cage's one liners, so they're meant to be REALLY cheesy. What's more, some of them are actually pretty good. As for the action scenes being "pointless"...uh, the movie is about fighting! This is definitely one of the critic's more nitpicky reviews.

I don't mind if you don't like the movie. Im just fine with it. But when people say the plot makes no sense or why is cage like this or this or that. It fits the charterers. They arnt meant to be human and life like.
The only review NC has done that I don't agree with his verdict. This movie was absolutely awesome; to me it was the best movie adaptation of a video game ever. Oh and FYI, Trevor Goddard the guy that plays Kano was so well recieved by viewers that the game creators themselves retconned the character to be of Australian descent like Trevor. That and Mr. Goddard was absolutely hilarious and entertaining in every scene he enters.

I have to highly disagree with both reviews. Granted they were pretty bad but in a cute sorta way, they were fun because they were bad. Even when I was laughing at their stupidity I still found the movies on the whole to be pretty entertaining. All in all, I'll honestly say these are the best video game movies I've ever seen(though I've skipped on many)

This movie was okay, for it's time. You really can't hold anything against it. So for you guys who really wanna see a MK movie, play MK9 in Story Mode. It's a game and movie wrapped into one. Now, I don't have the MK movie in my movie library. Nor, do I want it. Not worthy enough. Sorry, MK fans.

As bad as STREET FIGHTER was I thought that Julia as Bison, Bryniarski as Zangief, and Miguel A Nunez Jr as Dee Jay all make it worth watching with how entertaining they are.
And MORTAL KOMBAT really isn't that bad. It's a bit cheesy, but it's a fun movie. And yes I think Linden Ashby was funny as Johnny Cage. And while I have no problem with the gore I do like MK's characters and they're for the most part done quite well. Plus it made good additions to the series, they did take some ideas.

I thought Raiden was actually a villain in Mortal Kombat until I saw this movie. I mean, his profile avatar in the arcade game looked kinda scary, like Baraka's or Scorpion's.

To be honest, even though I didn't love the movie, you can't really criticize Cage's one liners. First of all, they're one liners, so they're meant to be cheesy. Second, they're Johnny Cage's one liners, so they're meant to be REALLY cheesy. What's more, some of them are actually pretty good. As for the action scenes being "pointless"...uh, the movie is about fighting! This is definitely one of the critic's more nitpicky reviews.

Even though this movie wasn't that great the casting wasn't half bad. They picked good people to play Lu Kang, Johnny Cage, and Shang Zhung. I suck at spelling. But it was at least watchable. Street Fighter was fucking terrible. The old one and the newest one.

I don't mind if you don't like the movie. Im just fine with it. But when people say the plot makes no sense or why is cage like this or this or that. It fits the charterers. They arnt meant to be human and life like.

The only review NC has done that I don't agree with his verdict. This movie was absolutely awesome; to me it was the best movie adaptation of a video game ever. Oh and FYI, Trevor Goddard the guy that plays Kano was so well recieved by viewers that the game creators themselves retconned the character to be of Australian descent like Trevor. That and Mr. Goddard was absolutely hilarious and entertaining in every scene he enters.

I have to highly disagree with both reviews. Granted they were pretty bad but in a cute sorta way, they were fun because they were bad. Even when I was laughing at their stupidity I still found the movies on the whole to be pretty entertaining. All in all, I'll honestly say these are the best video game movies I've ever seen(though I've skipped on many)

@CrittersRule247 Your into fighting games but don't know what BlazBlue is? its a fighting game series that has the biggest and most impressive story arc in the fighting game genre to date, it doesn't even follow the plot cliches that SF and MK have (tournaments, the chosen one, convoluted stories etc)
