@bryanhaw1 Albert Einstein is on record as saying that he did not believe in a personal God. The keyword is personal. Einstein did not believe that god knows about you on a personal level, that interferes in anyway in response to prayers. Instead, he believed that there was a God that maintained and created the harmony of the universe. I was making a point, that not ALL (As Seth Macfarlene lets on) people who belive in God are stupid. Let me guess, your an athiest?

@TheAfroThunder1 That's not necessarily what that quote implies. If you choose to infer that he believed in a god, but not a personal one, then that made him deist, and saying he believed god "maintained" the universe would be incorrect.
Seth wasn't implying that all theists are stupid. I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion. And yes, I am an atheist.
PS - If you're going to call someone a stupid twat, you might consider using the correct form of "there".

Family Guy doesn't mention religion too often, and when it does, it's usually about abstinence or young Earth creationism (which are certainly stupid).
You should work on your grammar.

Everyone in the show is abusive to Meg, it's an ongoing joke. There are theists who react negatively to atheism. That doesn't make them stupid. Beyond that, later in the show she accepted his atheism. Lois is one of the most respectable characters on Family Guy. She, Brian, and Stewie are the only ones who aren't stupid.

@TheAfroThunder1 A Catholic is always a Christian. A Christian is not always a Catholic. There is no "pure Christian" religion. It's all sects of Christianity. Nobody in the show is nice to Meg. Not a single person. Religion has nothing to do with it. Brian is racist because he's a dog. Dogs always bark at black people. Stewie built a time machine and a mind control device, among other things.

To be an atheist is to defend the phylosophical position that there are no Gods.To be agnostic is to defend the position that no one can prove it. An agnostic atheist is someone who doesn't believe there are Gods, but doesn't claim to know that for sure/ claims that it is impossible to know for sure.
