the fucking donnas did this cover.........................­............... you can tell the difference between Brett Anderson *lead vocals for the donnas* and the vocals of Shirley Ann Manson *vocals for garbage*. not saying its a bad cover but do your homework first clearly titled wrong.

@ThrownAmoeba27 Actually if you actually listened to any of Garbage's other stuff you'd know that the woman singing this is, in fact, Shirley Manson; I've been a fan of them since I was 5 & their debut album was released so I should know. If you don't believe me, look up their song "Untouchable;" the vocals are clearly the same.

@spools1969 yeah iv fucking done my home work and i know what im talking about! on mine "We're a Happy Family: A Tribute to Ramones" it lists this song covered by the donnas ALSO i have a donnas cd with this fucking same song on that i got from one of their concerts, now unless SOME HOW i have a boot leg of this album with the wrong band names then im sorry, but i dont! the speed of the song and the vocals are the donnas, also im not a major garbage fan but i do know that the sound way diffrent

Ramones version=near perfect pop song classic about feeling antisocial but wanna do something sung by correspondingly remote singer (behind shades & leather). THIS=they add nothing but loosen up the beat in a hope to make it dance-y (plus video ass shakin') that is NOT in the song. Then they shoot Shirley's lips, her miniskirted legs & then (Ive never seen this in any mainstream video before ever) up her skirt to her underwear. So visually it is 100% comeon while she's singing wants to be alone.

Butch vig may have produce the best drum sound ever with nirvana and smashing pumpkins. But the drums on garbage records have been mushy and lacking power. Like what Ice Cube said about Dr dre, stick to producing.

The Album is a tribute to the Romones.

It titled: "We're A Happy Family - A Tribute to Ramones"

It's a great album. The amazing thing is the Garbage cover is better than the Ramones original. And Garbage did not even try to make it there own song. The band plays and Shirley sings, with every exact notes and inflections of the original song.

Yet it is still, a trillion times better than the Ramones.
