  • i want to dedicate this song to my elder sisiter who is miles away from here

  • this song is wonderful, heart touching song

  • i like this song

  • its good

  • guyz...........music has no language no country it has a unique language itself and as well as it is universal .....so no more argument about who, when n where did write this song......it touch the heart honestly...............

  • i have been a great fan of this song from childhood..It is really not proper to quarrel for which nation it was written..The time it was written, logically suggests that it was written for Undivided India, which included Pakistan and erstwhile East Bengal..

  • beautiful. thank you.

  • thanks for the upload... god bless u my dear!!

  • @tahfim124 That's very nice of you indeed and thanks for ur real quick answer. take care and all the best.

  • @tahfim124 My dear brother this song was written before Bangladesh was born. But, it's also absolutely a song that expresses the life and and the nature of Bangladesh. And please don't be crossed.....it's nice to discuss, but not geting crossed. U know what i mean? Hope so. God bless ya.

  • it's not dhono dhanne pushpe.....it's dhono dhanyo pushpo bhora......anyway thanks for uploading the song.....it feels great, especially when u r miles away from the country.

  • This song is outstanding. Every time I hear it I can not stop my tears. Though I am not a Bengali I can understand spirit of the song very well. Hats off to writter and also singers, music director.

  • This song is outstanding. Every time I hear it I cry.

  • plz i was not bein a racist....i commented on some post who used foul language on INDIA..and tat elevated my anger scale on 2 d max....instead of cursing him privately,i made d comment public...so m sorry 4 tat... no intentional comments plzzz.....

  • I heard about 10 of this songs. However, these 2 singers did the true justice with the song. Superb. who are the singers?

  • IT sadden me to read such ugly and filthy language, one should be proud to be a Bangalee, we have won the highest awards for our self,we have laid down our lives for our dignity ,self respect ,our language and culture -- yes its all in the name of BANGLA. not Bangladeshi or Indian

  • Quite embarrassing that people across the two sides of the divide are bickering over the fact whether the song is about West Bengal or Bangladesh... Quite ironic that DwijendraLal Roy the composer, was born and spent his life in todays West Bengal, and also joined protest movements over the 1905 Partition of Bengal. The lyrics "kothay emon dhumra pahar" may suggest that this song was writttten keeping united India in mind. This song is for ones motherland, irrespective of Bangladesh or India,

  • You some mean minded ,Are you afraid / you are humiliating our country Bangladesh ? Remember people who don't respect others can't respect their own ??????????????????????????????????????????? ????? So we Bangladeshi don't bother what are you shouting here or not ! Oh one thing my best friend is Hindu ,Nondinee her name . We don't like the secular views as you do and like .

  • I think we should respect each others feelings and suggest that bring people together. These are open forums where people can express their views, though it is important to think before we express our views in public forums.

  • This song is so inspiring that I started singing myself. So patriotic and emotional song...

I feel so sorry seeing some of my Indian friends given silly comments. We should proud being Bengali not India or Bangladesh.

  • Politics can cut our material lands into pieces, vested religious interests of statesmen can put up physical barriers within us, but what power on this Earth can divide our soul which is but one and tied eternally with the string of love for Bengal and Bengali language? They can call a piece of land West Bengal and another piece of land East, but they can never be able to severe the ties of hearts that bound million Bengalis and which cut across all religious, social and geographical boundaries.

  • @drjchak whatever you are ....certainly you are sick.....and i am a citizen of the world.

  • @drjchak Get your facts right- the rate of hunger in India is far worse than in Bangladesh. See your own situation before commenting on that of someone else.

  • @drjchak Before making these sort of disgraceful remarks you should have referred to the social indicators of India; which is below Bangladeshi standard. You should be ashamed making these ignorant comments as, despite thriving economic growth India still lags behind Bangladesh in most of the social indicators, life expectancy being most important of those. However, I don't want to demean your country, because, I don't want to be regarded as the sinner of the same vice as yourself.

  • @drjchak - I married an Indian (Delhi), am a Bangladeshi from Dhaka and we are both Oxonians as well as Doctors and Doctorates (real ones not fake you-tube ones). I think no country (these two or any in the world) would want you- you are a disgrace whichever country you belong to.

  • amader chuto ai deshta koto na shundor, ami jani hoito Bangladesh perfect akti desh noi, kintu amar jonne amar ai priyo deshti kal o shera chilo, aj o ache, abong shera e theke jabe...

  • I was born and brought up in Bharat. My parents were from Sylhet and came to India. I have seen and felt the pain they had, for not being able to love or be a part of their mother (land), eventhough they were established very well in India.

  • I have never seen Sylhet. But I love Sylhet, I love equally as I love Bharat. Before I die, I cheris to go to Sylhet and bring its soil, and preserve it in our "Thakur Ghar" in North America, and show to my father. So my appeal to you, please don't bring the spirit of Bengali's so down that we can't call ourselves Bengali.

OpuKazi, once again my sincere thanks to you for uploading this Chirantan Bangali Gantuku.

  • BANGALIES DIDNT BORN FOR FUKIN BHARAT BANGALIES CAME IN THIS WORLD FOR BANGLADESH.THE BANGALIES WHO LIVES IN FUKIN BHARAT THEY R REFUGEES.

  • @sylhet1970 why not?bengali first started in kolkata and we got independence only for india.India chara bangla desh konodino shadhin hoto na.

  • some jerk disliked this song! i mean how is that even possible...this song cud easily qualify to be our 2nd national anthem!

  • @Musicpremik Fuck...I stumbled upon this video only to find a bunch of fucking Bangladeshis here. I want to tell you that we Bengalis are the children of Bharat. Anyone who does not see himself as a child of Bharat is not a Bengali, but a bastard. And that is what your fucking Moslem nation is.

  • @Mrparrot73 You are proud of being a slave to Punjabis and North Indians? Nothing to say, We are proud to live in a state where Bengalis rule over Bengalis.

  • @Musicpremik Further, it is such a pity that your self confidence is so low that you have to take pride in achievements of China, just like a dog does not have an identity of its own, but owes its status to its master. Are you a slave of China? I think you are

China is 2nd most powerful in the world. India is behind China. So what? 193 of the worlds 195 countries are behind China. India is in top 10 militarily & economically. ur slave country has no standing whatsoever. Slaves have no identity

  • This song was written to praise one's motherland, so the country is neither important nor to be emphasised....

too bad such wonderful songs will never be written in this era....

  • yes but it is sung in bangla to sho ones love for ones mother land which is bangla. you wouldnt sing this song in bangla for another country

  • The lyrics were written by Dwijendralal Roy (D.L. Roy)...

Anybody knows who is the composer this song?

  • The lyricist Mr. Dwijendralal Roy was also the composer of the song.

  • Thank you Resalat, do you know of some more songs of the same composer? If yes, then please send me the links of those songs.

Thanks a lot for your help.

  • I am sorry that I am not being able to help you, because that is the only song of the person I know about. In wikipedia there are some name of some songs composed by him, but I don't know where to find those. Anyways, thanks for your reply and query.
