  • I still dont know!!!

  • @MeekaChow I'm sorry.... I tried my best. There are books with pictures you can get or maybe another channel on here can do a better job at showing you how to end it. It's just a taking the loop off and pulling the next one through it, and moving around the all 4 sides until you reach the end. I knot mine at the end.

  • I used to make these as a kid! We got a kit with the weave frame and the little loops! Hugs girl!

  • @imperceptibleme Yep.. we I have several kits!! I love them for all kinds of stuff. Hugs!

  • have a great day!

  • @MaryJaneSlingBacks Thank you.... you too!

  • I remember haveing that kit when I was a kid. I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed doing them.

  • @Dianasme I still enjoy doing them (hard to show on camera) but I love them!

  • I love love these type of pot holders. Don't think I have the patience to do them though. Maybe once I am thru menapause lol. I did teach myself as a girl some knitting and crocheting. I wish my Grandmother would have shown me my Mom was never into any of it. My Grandmother and her sisters did all sorts of knitting corecheting is it tatting too the fine doileys? I ve been removed from it for so long I forget.

  • @cozzyk Yeah tatting, on man my mom does that and quilting. My sister is great at knitting and crocheting and my other sister is wonderful at embroidery. I'm the weaver (I have bigger looms) but love to dabble in a bit of everything. Stained glass was one of my favorites in high school. I make a lot of blankets (my term for quilts because they are slightly different). lol

  • @Jinxie228 What a talented family and you picked yours how lovely. My Mother wasn't into any of it briefly sewing (too busy with 3 youngesters myself included). I learned any sewing skills at school. The knitting and crocheting I learned from books or sorts. My greatie aunties might have tried to show me but I was an hour away and seldom with them for that type of thing.

  • @cozzyk Well... to be honest, I took knitting and crocheting classes in 7th grade and just continued on with them. Yep they were offered in school and I took sewing in school but my mom taught me mostly, she quilts by hand - has one of those big long quilting frames and all winter long that was the thing, her, the grandmothers and anyone else would be quilting. I'm the youngest of 4 so I think I had extra help with learning. I really appreciate you sitting through this. Thank you!

  • @Jinxie228 They didn't have those classes I so wish they did. My knowledge onh that was slf taught books magazines so not proficient. We had Home Ed learned little sewing and cooking in Jr. High. In High School I took all I could but seriously it was no cooking class or design sewing class. I think now days it would be. I so wish I had the opportunity to learn those skills from somewhere. But no excuses if I want to need to do it myself. Thx for the vid.

  • Wow, did this bring back memories! LOL I used to make these when I was a kid and sell them to our neighbors.. 15 cents a piece/ 2 for a quarter! I used to make sets so that they would buy two! LOL What fun.. I didn't think you could still buy the loops for them.. I think I still have a couple of the potholders that I made.. :))

  • @mysteryglo Judy, you can buy the loops.. they have the regular ones and some like nylon ones (I don't care for them)... but I make my own out of t-shirts and sweatshirts. Maybe I will show how to make the loops. Yeah they're a lot of fun and useful.

  • Martha, it is complicated! I will watch the first video and see what you were doing. I really like the potholder! Nice. - roc

  • @popparoc46 roc -- this is a response to a video I did a few years ago... had more folks ask how to end it. I'm so use to holding things in my lap and working on them and not doing them for the camera but I tried. I love making potholders, I weave with yarn on the loom too.. makes nice place mats or hot pads.

  • @Jinxie228 Ah! As you see by now, I have just watched the first video! The pot holders are gorgeous!

  • @popparoc46 I see, I see.. what you doing up this late? lol Thank you so so much. The loom I used today is from the late 50's, early 60's -- metal. I like them better than the plastic ones. I am making me a wooden loom for larger projects.

  • How fun to find you in my inbox! A lovely surprise! And a really clear explanation. It's a lot like binding off in knitting too. The more things change, the more they stay the same! :)

  • @thizizliz Exactly Liz!!!! I forgot about knitting. I made a potholder back in 2008 and posted a video, not realizing folks would ask for more detail. lol So I just posted a little something hoping it helps.

  • I used to make those when I was a kid. I had forgotten all about those little looms. Fun.

  • @ohjoannabanana Yeah, I have two or 3 of them, although sometimes I use yarn and weave my potholders or hot pads. I loved them as a child!
