  • Superstitious old cow...You will burn in hell ! um not before youuuuuu !!!!

  • "She's gonna be sorry she got my dander up!" - Dem's fightin' words!

  • That Ms. Peale is a BEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTCCCCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHH!

  • @smalltownman73 Why is it I get the feeling you don't like her????? :)

  • I love the ending to this episode. Mary makes a great speech!

  • You go Mary....bring that old man up to speed. It's a good thing I didn't live back then. With my 21st century mouth, they would have tared and feathered me.

  • Awesome job speaking the truth Mary!!!

  • I assume this is how we got the movie CHILDREN OF THE CORN from? those kids at 3:07 sure did look like them. who agrees?

  • Lol everyone must have gotten temporary amnesia....... because Miss Beadle became Mrs.Simms three episodes earlier in Here Come the Brides!!!!

Melissa Anderson in a 2005 interview discussed the scene where she really looses her cool. She admitted that she felt it was too overdone--eventhough many fans believed it was a testimony to Mary's typically hidden strength of character. To this day she can't stand to watch her acting in that final scene.

  • Melissa Sue Anderson was gorgeous... still is.

  • What is wrong with her dress? I don't see how it is not good enough for supper or teaching?

  • Oh it's about to be on! They got Mary's dander up!

  • If that woman thinks reading is so sinful, how does she expect people to study the Bible?

  • @MissLadyDoolittle Miss peel cannot read at all.Watch again near the end of this episode;scary!

  • omg ! miss peale is scary

  • I love any episodes where Mary's character is telling people off. There are many other episodes where she gets heated, like "The Music Box" and "The Handyman". She gets fired up in those episodes too. Then, it seems after she loses her eyesight and marries Adam Kendall, she becomes passive.

  • I loved the way Mary went back up there and straightened Miss Peale out! I guess she feared that Mary was trying to change things in the town by bringing education to everyone. However, it seems like Miss Peale learned her own lesson: "just because you don't like someone or something, it doesn't give you the right to spread mean and vicious lies about the person and call them names". Still trippoin' off of "jezebel".

  • Next halloween I'm gonna be Miss Peel, she is scarey is hell

  • this was the best show ever

  • Thank you so much for uploading these videos!! Little House on the Praire is my favorite tv series!! THANKS!!!

  • @singingtennischicks I'm really glad you're enjoying it and thank you too :))

  • soap and water.......soap and water!!

  • Actually, the fourth Commandment is 'Do not work on the Sabbath Day, keep it holy'. The third Commandment is to not take God's name in vain. Oh, well. Thanks for uploading all of these great episodes!

  • Mrs. Peele (however you spell that) is scaryy!!!!!! o___o

  • These folks sure were ignorant. Didn't even know who their president was.

  • Miss peal is frightening. She looks like a witch without her sweep. She's awful and a devil at first.

  • You are the most wonderful person ever for uploading these.. Thank you so much and bless you.. :)

  • @disposablefreedom Oh what a lovely comment! Thank you very much and I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

  • I've got mixed emotions on this one. Yes, Mary should have asserted herself but I think when she was talking to Mr. Fisher she borderlined being disrespectful to him by raising her voice to him.

  • @caplovesthesteelers1 And the way he spoke to her wasn't disrespectful?? Yes he was her senior, but she was not his daughter, nor was she a petulant child. She was a guest in his house, a guest who was working a paid job as an adult, teaching his own child, no less! She didn't owe him any bowing down or platitudes, quite the opposite, infact. Guests are supposed to be made to feel welcome, and he treated Mary like garbage from the moment they met.

  • I don't get what he thought was wrong with the dress she was wearing! Almost all the dresses look identical. It's not like she put on a mini skirt for goodness sake. LOL What a jerk!

  • She slapped him and kissing isn't a sin as far as I know.

  • @horsesaremylife31899 No but this community makes me also think of the Amish.Very strict, severe and old fashioned.

  • i love this episode. :)

  • I like this episode.I just saw it once and it deserves to be known and watched. It is a good episode about rumours and intolerance. But the sad stuff is that it happens just before Mary goes blind. So sad!

  • Ive seen everyone of the LHOP episodes, this is one of the best.

  • I had never seen this one. I look forward to seeing the rest. I'm glad Mary stood up to her & put Miss Peal in her place.

  • @DigiScrap34 I was proud of Mary too at the end, but the final scene is still kinda sad since this is the last episode centering around Mary before she goes blind.

  • This is the most deliciously over the top acting since Mommie Dearest. Thanks for posting!!

  • @bobbymcgnyc You're welcome. Thank you too

  • Great episode. It really gives Melissa Sue Anderson an opportunity to do some good acting outside of Michael Landon and Melissa Gilbert's shadow.

  • @misheemom I agree. She was a marvellous little actress who put her heart and soul into whatever she did.

  • i never saw this one

  • Thank u so much for posting this! I love this episode!

  • @hazel1eyes You're most welcome. Thank you

  • Mary sure is beautiful
