  • Indeed!

  • Cocaine's a hell of a drug.

  • The God of drums !

  • he was like a rollercoster ;-)

  • 38 fags

  • John bonham was going crazy!

  • as much as a really like john bonham i mean his solos are great but i feel as if buddy rich's solos are just better there more intricate but idk i like rock and roll but when it comes to drum solos jazz is the way to go

  • @thematt961 Totaly agree with you dude, but you can see where John gets his influence from....could you imagine a world without Buddy Rich's hyper fast rolls and he uses his whole kit evenly, not to heavy on the bass drum so as not to drown out the tom's and snare.....love when he plays with his hands....and age only made him a master.....I wish John was alive....Rock music pulls from many sources and blends into it's own unique sound....Blues and Jazz happen to be the Zepps foundation..it works

  • OMG That was Amazing

  • john bonham is the boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @joshuahhh1 the man, acctually

  • Nice video it would be better if you take of the parts of the movie

  • after the beatles, led zeppelin is my second favorite band

  • my favorite drummer..my face is melt once more...nothing more to say.....

  • If you want to see what is by far the best youtube video of Bonham, it's entitled "Led Zeppelin-Moby Dick (Live At Royal Albert Hall 1970)". Just watch it. John Henry Bonham remains the greatest rock drummer that ever lived.

  • xD yeah yeah, john Bonham for single foot triplets, and Keith Moon for....... uuuhhh, everything else. xD lmao, r.i.p.to both of ya (as well as legend Buddy Rich, their jazz equivalent).

  • The greatest rock drummer of them all. His feel was second to none. Amazing

  • the best band ever.....LED ZEPPELIN>>>Respect from ROMANIA :D

  • If we give up Bieber can we have John Bonham back?

  • @edogg26 oh come on, we can give up more than that, like the jonas brothers, lady gaga, brittney speirs, hanna montana and kim kardashian, even tho shes not involved in music

  • i bet you that all the other members went backstage to prove their moby dick...

  • He's a great, great drummer, but this drum solo.. it's utterly boring in my opinion.

  • @Grafietstift fuck you, fuck you very much

  • @finnersbai Yes of course there are always the ones, on youtube, who must "fuck" people and such, but the only thing I'm doing is giving my opinion. I haven't said he is a bad drummer, I said he is a good one. Maybe you were referring to that, "fuck you, he isn't a good drummer at all!" is that what you're trying to say?

  • @Grafietstift my apologies, I thought you were subtly trolling. Also If I didn't think he was a good drummer, the only reason i would come onto this page would be to criticize this video or reply to comments which talk about him being awesome- I wouldn't however reply to a comment already criticizing him in the first place, that would be pointless.

  • @finnersbai Nope I wasn't trolling, and I really mean that I am impressed by his drumskills, and though I never quite liked Led Zeppelin TOO much, I do enjoy listening and watching him drumming. So that says quite something. And no I can understand, I think it's useless to watch a video, and instead of discussing the video just reply to loving messages from others with bad comments.

  • Unreal. It's like taking drugs without taking drugs.

  • two words: amazing drums

  • xD lmao, i think we'd all agree in that jesus could probably sing better than justin bieber....... ......BUT HOW COULD JESUS SING SO GOOD, TOO?! ...... that's where freddie mercury comes in. >:D

  • @swiftmachine1515 Yay, Sid Vicious to learn how to play bass, and Hendrix - to play guitar. Christian rock band lndeed.

  • I have a friend who thibks hedleys drummer is better...........hes going to hell for sure

  • Too bad it's so dark you can't see much...but it sure is Great to listen to!

  • John Bonham died because Jesus needed help with his bass drum technique.

  • @swiftmachine1515 Then I'm waiting for the day when Jesus might need Bieber's help. I don't know, what this dork could give him, but still it would be nice.

  • @TheGemShoot

    jesus need cleaner

  • @TheGemShoot shame jesus isnt real.

  • @swiftmachine1515 then He has two awesome drum teachers: John Bonham and Keith Moon!

  • @ylegend5 Don't forget Mitch Mitchell (drummer for The Jimi Hendrix experience for those of you who were unaware) He passed away quietly a few years back....Underrated....Truly Amazing!!!!!

  • Animal!!!

  • Bonzo Is Faster Than A 64th Note

  • john bohnam sounds so much better live than on the studio version!

  • john Bonham and Keith Moon. The best. What else can you say?

  • @johnhrey52 U can also say Ian Paice...

  • @chicchitammuottocifa Hells Yeah!!!! Ginger Baker, again Mitch Mitchell and just for shits and giggles, I'm dropping Neil Pearts name in the mix....hhmmmmm

  • how come this guy is so famous and good, but i have never heard about this guy till now???

  • The greatest - of all time. There is no one to touch him.

  • @ludocrat danny carey or neil pert. both awsome drummers.

  • @rx22289

True. But there is something about Bonham that I just can't get out of my head. He kind of hypnotises you. Incredible.

  • @ludocrat YEP! he was the first one really to putting something something so cool out on drums like this.

  • Just awesome!

  • Ginger Baker (Cream)

  • WHOS BETTER RICH OR BONHAM?

  • @NYJ4CK BONHAM BY FAR!

  • @NYJ4CK there both great in their own ways.

  • @NYJ4CK best rock drums:

    Bonham (Led Zeppelin)

    Moon (The Who)

    Peart (Rush)

    Particularly, I like also:

    Schneider (Rammstein)

    Portnoy (Dream Theater)

    DeGrasso (Megadeth)

  • @Alpha42z you forgot mitchels from hendrix!

  • @SMDforTacos yeah!!!!! Mitch Mitchell...also more now is Danny Carey, the drummer for Tool.....But then again that band blows my mind....good stuff!!!

  • @Alpha42z Ian Paice? !!!!!!!!!

  • @Alpha42z portnoy!!

  • la hostia bonham el mejor bateria de todos los tiempos esto no lo superara nadie desde españa con amor

  • Thats one of the reasons i idolize him!

  • whoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooaoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • Holly shit ! I'm in shock :O

    Freakin amazing!

  • The best and probably the most influence drummer off all time. Sorry, Roger Taylor, and off course Keith, I love Queen and Who, but i love Zep more...

  • manbox. thank you and comment. iam not an troll. all i sayed about this bomhan is his basic. see. today: there's is more drumers whom are more anvance of this guy bomhan. thats is all i say.

  • His style and talent is unmatched and innovative. He accomplished things behind the trap set with a single bass drum that people even now couldn't do with three bass drums. It's a shame that Led Zeppelin disbanded after the death of Bonham in 1980 but they knew they would never find a "replacement" because it just wasn't possible. Some have come close but will never achive....

  • All I have to say is that Mr. John Henry Bonham has been and is still being voted the number one drummer of all time. He has won that honor and is still winning that title more than 30 years after his death for a reason. He tops the list of "performers most wanted to be brought back", beating out the likes of Elvis and Freddie Mercury. Even guys like Stewart Copeland, Dave Grohl, Chad Smith, Phil Collins credit him as a major inspiration for them and undeniably one of the best ever.

  • al, thanks you all for you're coment. i'm know troll. what i'm am trying to say is if you poeple look closley at bohnam hear you'll will see that his cannot campare to the drummers of now. guys like dragon-fourse, joey, and mainly travantula barker

  • @jgeorgel this was good:)).My friend,if Bonzo didnt always play complex stuff doesn't mean that those guys are better.common...Joey?Travis?what are u?17?!:)).If you want to give an example try Dave Lombardo,Mickey Dee or Scott Travis:).

  • @jgeorgel i laugh at your fail trolling and your opinion of good drummers. I therefore accept that i am letting you troll me by repsonding to you. But just a side note, Where did any of these much younger drummers learn to play from, and when was the last time thier playing made you feel like you were tripping on acid. (without it)

  • Rest in Piece Father of the Drums! Your style still makes us wonder!

  • after all those clips, im surprised he didn't die in a car crash :)). he was one hell of a drummer! and my no. 1 inspiration :)

  • I have the solution for all the YouTube bashers of musicians/artists that have a video posted (by anyone)... Why don't we make it a rule that you can't bash ANYONE'S performance unless you post one of YOURSELF!!! (wow that would run em off like rats!) If you can't play or sing or dance or hum or mix/blend music, never wrote a song in your life, and you can't even spell, should you judge and debase another's performance's? Oh yeah, this is America and you have that right, wake up and be nice!!!

  • you all pepole are just a buncha blockheads. this guy this man. bohnma is not so good. see. i bin play all off this stuff when i was a very young boy. why. becuase its is easy to play. simpile, bassic, no skills are how you say? melodics?

  • @jgeorgel Learn English, and learn drums. You actually haven't been playing this stuff since a young age, so piss off about it. People don't take to it well when you disrespect dead legends, stupid fuck.

  • @jgeorgel you are obvious trolling.. one look at your profile is enough.. get a life

  • i love jimmy page's slide at :22

  • borring unenspiring druming. really bad and boiring. know tecnicals or inventevness at all. overatted so very over rated

  • @jgeorgel Harsh words and yet he could probably spell those words better than you can... I'd like to see you playing the drums like John Bonham, you've massively insulted a huge range of drummers who are inspired by the likes of John Bonham, Charlie Watts, Buddy Rich and Keith Moon. Hugely insulted.

  • @jgeorgel r u fukin off ur head man he a legand.love his style.u aint got a clue mate really u aint.fukin cunt.

  • @jgeorgel That doesnt even count as a comment. No Clue!!!

  • @jgeorgel go watch Justin Bieber videos instead. suits you better I can tell by your comment.

  • @jgeorgel alright so lets see you do this u dumb cunt

  • Greatest drummer ever. Back when music was about knowing how to play and having fun not how trendy you can be. Music will never be the same again

  • i read in a book years ago that jason bonham was given one of kieth moons drum kits when he was a kid and still has it now

  • grooooooooove and POWER!

  • Keith Moon sounded more impresive

  • i think Bonham is better than Peart just watch a Rush concert and then watch The Song Remains the Same

  • @evankm1111 Neil Peart is like Terry Bozzio, good playing but too fancy for my liking. John Bonham was a simple drummer yet he moved with the groove whilst still keep the time, great inventor and motivator, truly inspiring.

  • the best of the BEST

  • Miss Ya Brother xXx You passed before i got to know you xXx

  • This guy wasn't Peart or Wekkle but that wouldn't have worked in Zeppelin, he was the perfect guy for the job, a real balance against the loftiness of Page and Plant. They needed grounding and he is the perfect backdrop. I love his down to earth nature it is reflected in his solid no nonsense playing.

  • Bonzo man, can't get much better than him..

  • just when i was thinking i was half decent....awwwwwwwwww

  • I thank god for Alex Van halen and Neil peart.

  • @EPI6fingers as good as Alex is, im not comfortable bunching him with Neil Peart, but ya, there are still talented people out there... just few and far between

  • Ttbjammn hit the nail on the head. Im only 15 but i couldnt agrea more. I have been playing guitar for five years and nothing inspires me more than led zeppelin pink floyd matelica nirvana and any other band from that time era

  • @Vannsome Bitch please, Led Zeppelin, Metallica and Nirvana are not from the same decade, and have no similarity what so ever, therefore stfu, attention whore.

  • AWESOME is the Mighty Zeppelin -- Mighty

  • LOL, I love the way the rest of the band go back stage for a fag and a cup of tea

  • A rocker who not only knew how to live, but how to play. Sadly we don't have those anymore (for the most part)...

  • Comment removed

  • if john bonham was a narwhal, he'd be a good narwhal

  • back in the days when legends once roamed the earth

  • @noobpowner901 when REAL music was actually played

  • @noobpowner901 You realize only John Bonham is dead and the other three are still alive, right? But yes, Bonzo is truly missed :(

  • @Omegasar Dude, it doesn't even matter that he's not still roaming. I'm just saying that legends were more prevalent in the given time period

  • @Omegasar Still alive but after Led Zeppelin lets all argee they ALL FELL APART

  • Chuck Norris fears no man, except John Bohnam.

  • disturbed4life1997...he dont keep a steady rhythm / beat where he could just work off of so to speak''..a few times during this solo he''ll just stop and try something else...'' sorta like hes thinking ok ill try this now '' to me he was all over the place..esp when he started playing with his hands,,,c-mon..'' horrible!!..like i mentioned b4 i love his playing on ALL LED ZEP SONGS, on stairway excellent right on crisp drumming..loved it... but this solo , bad !! not

  • bonham plays good on led zep songs def ...but this solo leaves a lot 2 be desired..lets be honest here , this solo is below average..

  • @bgj150 ok. this is an amazing solo not because he plays superfast or that everything he plays is super complicated. its great because it doesnt have to be. this solo is musical and rythmic and perhaps most amazingly it tells a story. the name wasnt just thrown in there. its telling the story and conveying the emotions just as melody can. if you want superfast hits look up joey jordisons 9.0 live solo. but relize sometimes, what matters more then what you play, is what you dont.

  • @disturbed4life1997 ...i respect your opinion. and i totally understand what your saying.. i just cant get into this one specific solo..to me he changes way to much during it.. '' and your 100% right a solo doesnt have to be superfast all the time or technical ...i like more of a grove / rythmic solo that when your watching or listening you just cant stop yourself from moving up and down and getting totally engrossed in it.. and when your done you say '' i wanna start taking lessons''

  • @bgj150 Simply put... NO!

  • @Splicesomase ..oh yes !!! my opinion.

  • what are those clips in this vid??

  • @JohnnySton3r i think its from ''the song remains the same"

  • Chirst, wouldn't it hurt hitting the cymbals with his hands ><

  • @DisposableHeroes0 yes, he cut his hands on them

  • when i was younger, and i was first getting into music and learning guitar.. i discovered that led zeppelin broke up after the death of their drummer. my first thought was " thats sad, but he was just the drummer, they could have gone on!"

now i realize how fucking stupid i was! RIP the greatest drummer of all fucking time!

  • just fucking the best drumer ever

  • BONZO FOR EVER!!!!!!

  • I hope that drum was over 18...

  • wat movie is that in the back?

  • @IIISugarShortsIII The movie in the back is from the song remains the same...Led Zepplin

  • @ragonz2194 no, but i mean the movie with the drag racer and his wife apparently, what movie is THAT?

  • @IIISugarShortsIII They were home movies featured in "the song remains the same" and yes it is his wife and son in those clips.

  • @ragonz2194 Check out his son Jason. He also is a drummer and has played with Led Zepplin in reunion.

  • Can't make my homeworks because of this :p

  • pity the video spends 50% of the time on bullshit like cars and junk when all we want to see is 100% bonham.

  • Dzisiaj już nikt tak nie potrafi :)

  • FUUUUUUUCK HE'S SUCH A GOOD DRUMMER

  • people need to leave travis alone. this is a JOHN BONHAM video. If you want to talk about TRAVIS BARKER, go to HIS video. But Travis never speaks of battling anyone or competing against anyone. He just plays for the fuck of it. Like. WTF is with you people. Why is everything competition. Gtfoh with that nonsense. JB is soo freakin' amazing.

    Ugh.

    <3

  • @MitsukiSky i dont think travis plays "just plays for the fuck of it." i think he 2 like John has a huge passion for the drums and plays with his heart and soul...not just for the fuck of it. There both Great. But Bohnam just waaaaayy greater.

  • Jimi con la kitarra...Lui con la batteria ....mi fa morire quando molla le bakkette ed inizia a pikkiare giù con le mani....un MITO!

  • I cannot listen to this anymore. Not by choice, but I just can't feel my ears anymore.

  • john bonham is a very good drummer...but watch this...

    youtube.com/watch?v=TnzJhhtqfkA

  • if one more cunt puts travis barker even remotely in the same league as john bonham, i will shove my boot so far up his ass that bonham will wake up from eternal slumber just to find out what all the screaming is about.

  • @tylerblue1984 I think the main reason that people think that Travis is so great is because some of the grooves he plays in blink are extremely creative and quite cool, but when if it came down to a drum battle, he wouldn't come close to this.

  • How does Robert Plant fit into those jeans?

  • During Moby Dick the other band members would walk off the stage for a smoke and to bang some chicks.

  • 1:03 Sorry.. It's great watch Jimmy

  • 1:30 I love how jimmy walks off the stage.

  • Master of time right here.

  • the single kick master at work.

  • uhuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuLLLLLLLLLLLL John Bonham \o/

  • People at that time was just more cool, more connected with the universal energies

  • as a life long drummer, everytime i listen, I find something new hidden in his playing to blow me away!!! his talent ended too early.

  • fuck you Peter Grant, fuck you Jimmy Page, fuck you illuminati

    Bob Chapman owns your ass

  • Some say he had had a hydraulic right leg and his drumsticks were crafted from the shards of Chuck Norris's penis. All we know is he's called John Bonham

  • @panterz24x Thanks a lot, asshole. Now, whenever I listen to Zeppelin or see a pair of drumsticks, I'm going to have mental images of Chuck Norris' cock stuck in my head. Got to hell, jerk.

  • The thing that separates Neil Peart and all these other people from John Bonham is that they are drummers. John Bonham is a percussionist.

  • Man, seeing his kid play drums made me sad. He was (in my opinion) the greatest drummer that ever lived.

  • @DrLong1982 This KID? How old are you, 90?

  • @MrSquazzy No, lol, I ment when it shows John Bonham's kid playing drums and John walkes up and starts playing a bongo.

  • @DrLong1982 lol i know man. Just wanted to make a funny lol

  • @6masked6man6 dude fukin joey jordison!! all he has is a fast double pedal and he simply beats the shit out of his drums with no class no taste, please don't compare him to one of the greatest drummers there ever was and he died so his potential was not fully developed...not trying to bagg on you for your opinion but in mine these two drummers aren't even in the same category

  • If reincarnation exists, i call dibs on Bonham.

  • @BillSwift4

I don't understand if reincarnation exists are you saying something like you'd like Bonham to come back as dog so he can be your pet?

  • @PoorRichardSaunders He's saying he has dibs on coming back AS Bonham.

  • Stratdem, oh dear, kind of missed the point a bit I think, still you dont have to listen and after all its only your loss so who cares what you think!

  • Stratdem you're such a stain. Name any great drummer that has not in some way been influenced by Bonham and Buddy Rich. Bonham and Rich were so innovative there shit is still strong to this day.

  • @stratdem i'll give you neil peart but vanhalen?

  • @stratdem

"" i'm going back to listen to real drummers like Alex Vanhalen and Neil Peart.""

You do that.....but make sure you turn your stereo up REAL LOUD...or else you won't ever hear those two 'tappers'.

Pear in particular sounds like he's tapping on a toilet roll. Where is Peart's "OOOMPH"? Peart is waaaaaaaaaaay too tinny and lightweight.

Hip Hop sample BONHAM, not Peart.

  • so damn good!

  • If cars were powered by drums , then this could reach the light speed
