lol what a pussy ...i went to the viewpoint on koh phi phi to watch the sunset ...and i didnt realized how fast it gets dark there ...so i had to walk back in the dark with no lights trough the jungle ..i had no other choice that was crazy and i surelly will never do this again ; ) ..

Be carefull when you go in the jungle there they have a lot of dangerous animals there !

I did not go to scouts but I have learned from experience that you should mark your way on the trees where you have come from just in case something like this happens. Which it did and I spent only 2 hours hiking but 3-4 hours finding my way back.

We went there about 5 years ago and did the same thing. However we kept going straight for three hours and ended up on beach hut resort on other side of island. It was an amazing trek. So great we did it again two days later. Had some pretty scary moments though. So much so I have no need to enter anymore jungles. Nice one

Reminds me of the time I was in Costa Rica. There were these trails behind the hotel and I got lost. I just kept going forward and it led me into a huge loop. It was pretty cool looking back on it. I got to see 2 toucans, a troop of howler monkeys, a bunch of sloths, a snake, and a noisy bunch of parrots.

Nice camera and a good video. Maybe, it is asking too much from an American, but the best way is to climb one of those trees and look out for roads/clearing. From a height of 10-15 metres above the ground, things are much clearer. And proceed in that direction. The monkeys are pretty harmless and move away once you get closer and 95+ % of snakes that you see in south Asia are non-poisonous.
