What a great surprise ending! I was so sure that they were both going to lose all the eggs. (I also secretly expected the parent bird to return to the nest and, well, let us enjoy some serious violence.)

I didn't think of Mr. Potato Head, he reminded me of the Easter Island gang.

I think it's based off that Heaven vs Hell story thing where no one has elbows in the afterlife and the people in Hell try to feed themselves but the people in Heaven feed each other.
