Rarely did I ever see someone with such depth of emotion and content (and obscurity), replace that so quickly with pop lobotomy and massive popularity which required no one to understand anything. Had a lot to do with the complete collapse of avant garde into pop hell, she was the tail end of that gothic punk bit of it that rapidly evaporated by the mid 1990s to neodisco deserts.
