I want to say to you all continue to dance for God as long as God is getting the glory out of your lives is all that matter. So many people is looking for anything to tear down the body of Christ. the bible simply states praise him with a dance. And David dance before the Lord with all his heat. Miram dance after God use Moses to depart the red see. Dance begin in the bible and the world took it and made it vulgar. God will take the foolish things of the world to confound the wise.

@TheSodda1 There are a lot of things that are done in main stream churches that I don't agree with like turning something that is to be done before God into being done before man in the form of "Entertainment". How is this "Entertainment"? What you call an alter at this church is actually a stage. Why would you call this an alter in which people are called to BUT you perform skits, dances, sing and even preach on a STAGE. So what is this action called when you perform on a stage?

@tashafawn24 I don't know what you have seen or studied, but God has gifted me in the dance and through it I have seen deliverance, and healing take place. the altar is not a natural place we stand at a church but you should carry an altar in your heart. We all entitled to an opinion and in all your getting get an understanding. We are the body of Christ up lift and not tear down. Liftupur: well if you really believe what you say, then you should not be dancing at all. unless the dance you are doing, is Hebrew dance. we have to think about what we say before we just say things that only sound foolish. mime, just like all forms of theatre, can be used for good, or for evil. it is neutral. if what you say is true, then ballet should not be done either because it is the dance of the elite, not for the commomors. how much history of dance ministry have you studied?

God created or provided the means for all things to exist. How we choose to use those things makes the difference. Is the use or intent/ purpose contrary to God's word or who He is? I suspect using Y-Tube is not in the Bible either soooo. But with the direction and anointing of God He can choose to use anything for the good of His Kingdom. He uses us all, both sinner and saved alike, doesn't he, as needed for His Glory?

@LiftupurheadOyegates with all due respect...what is the difference between this and ballet? i understand the origins of mime. but if you really study dance history you will see that ballet was the dance of the elite which was about oppressing the poor...and modern dance was rebellion against ballet and formality which according to the Word, rebellion is just like witchcraft. jazz actually is a vulgar term. but we use those dance forms all the time in church...so why are we picking and choosing?

@LiftupurheadOyegates if you study the history of theatre (dance, mime, drama) as we do it today, you will find that all of it had origins in the world. unless you are doing Hebraic dance, from what you are saying none of it should be done in church at all! since most of the praise dance that is done in church services has its origins in ballet and modern dance, if you look it up, see the people who were doing it, and then see if you can carry that argument all the way out. Glory to God.

There's rap and now there's gospel rap and the list goes on! How can we teach our children to not be like the world or do what the world is doing if the church is doing just that. That's trickery and God doesn't have to trick or bait anyone into following Christ.

It all belongs to God. The earth and its FULLNESS. The world or the enemy has not and never will create anything that will benefit and bless the kingdom of God. God can and will use anything and anyone to get his people into the kingdom. If you read the old testament, you will find that the kings hosted great celebrations with dancers and praisers all of the time. How do you know what they wore? you need to dig into the old testament a little more..the holy ghost is a teacher, use Him!
