yeah simply the other guy is a better driver. I have beat gt500 guys in my 04 mustang GT which has around 300 hp with mods and they cannot catch up until 60 plus

I went with the 2.3L TVS and a conservative tune. Putting down 650 at the wheels - a little over 750 at the crank.

Even stock, traction is an issue with these cars. Now, 1st is almost useless and 2nd isn't much better.

My little beast spins through first with traction off and stalls with it on cuz it overpowers the tires which then restricts fuel. I'm definitely looking into limited slip soon. Someday (when I retire from teaching probably), I'll own one of these awesome cars.

They are after market. There are lots of different companies that have them. I've seen them on many Mustangs.

So assuming his wife is atleast around 120 lbs to 130lbs? That kinda helps even the odds out a little bit. 70 to 80 Lbs shouldn't make that much differance for the little bit they raced. Nice cars though, Its cool they raced though.

That's the driver's name, not the car.

The 'vert is modded, but not as much as the coupe is. It was a traction issue.

Both cars are tuned. The coupe has a smaller blower pulley, but he couldn't get his tires to stick. From a roll, he would have smoked me.
