Yes he is actually. He saved our bacon when he refined the edits after we had terrible issues with our editing software working well. I asked him to put his name in the credits, but no! He likes to put them in the Youtube comments instead :)
Otago Polytech..what a great institution and your policy of collaborating and sharing resources is amazing. Thanks....more education and learning for everyone.
There are definitely people advocating openness here (including myself), but it feels at times as though it's a tremendous uphill struggle. I'm constantly hearing arguments about copyright/IP, privacy and an insistence on the preservation structure, hierarchy and formalised outcomes.
It feels like we're beginning to make a bit of headway, and yet there's still a long way to go. I guess the main thing is to keep pushing on.
Hi Sarah, actually we had a very hard time with our Camera. It was a Sony hard drive handy cam. It doesn't have a standard external mic port, and we don't have a Sony mic, so we were left with the in built mic :( The video files weren't compatible with the editinig sofware, so we had to fuss around for quite some time.. all this eating into production time and quality - Double thanks to Sunshine Connelly and Mark Leggett for their patient work dealing with our terrible little camera!
Mark Leggett is amazing.
